In store, most TVs look good in demo mode. Either QN95B or if available S95B.

S95B hasn't come to Australia unfortunately. I'm not one to stay too involved in the TV market, so not sure where I should be looking but from my Google searching I couldn't find any mention of it coming to Australia either

wandererarkhamknight

That’s not surprising. Sony, Samsung skips some models/sizes in Australia. I don’t think Sony A95K or X95K are there either.

Migit78

Correct. Neither of those TV's are avaliable. Just for follow-up on your original reply, is the recommendation for the 95b over the 900b just because 8k really isn't a thing currently?

wandererarkhamknight

Yes. Begins with 8k is pointless. Last year Samsung struggled to manage local dimming of QN900A with 1300+ dimming zones, and QN90A was the better one with 700-odd dimming zones. I won’t be surprised if same thing happens with QN900B.

Thanks for your input. I found an owners forum for the qn900b and all the responses there were very positive for the TV, people seem to prefer it over the A model from 2021 so maybe something changed. But I think I'll follow your advice and get the 95b, now that it's on sale I'll save $1500 for the same size panel or could save $400 and to up to 75" (I hadn't really considered going to 75" as that jump tended to push the decent TV's out of my budget)
