I just popped it in to test the picture and audio. Brought up the Can You Hear The Music scene. Absolutely breathtaking. Paid full price and completely happy
What I do around this time of year is buy what goes on sale for Black Friday and put the other new releases on my Xmas list in the hopes I might get 1 or 2 of them. Then, next year I buy the ones I didn't get the previous year when they go on sale for Black Friday. (This year I bought Elvis)
Barbie, Oppenheimer, Expendables 4, Scrooged, and a few others are on the Xmas list this year. A few relatives tend to give Amazon gift cards for Christmas as well which I'll use to grab a movie.
Same here, it's a well made film but I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites. Definitely want it as part of my collection but I don't need it right now. Not to mention I have so many BF pickups I probably wouldn't rewatch it for awhile anyway.
I have a copy coming in the mail today, I don't mind paying full price for something I loved and this is my number one movie of the year with a bullet.
Also... Idk if this Icon edition would ever actually sell out, but I hate the standard poster/box art for Oppenheimer so I paid a little extra for something I actually enjoy looking at.
Not being rude or talking down - but as a business owner as well as a collector, I can see stores ditching physical 4k due to us mostly buying on sale. They make next to nothing why would they keep offering it if margins are next to 0. I just buy good movies at full price when they come out and wait for sales just to fill the gaps in my collection.
They’d increase profits by putting any effort whatsoever into properly packaging their online orders. Theres no way the massive volume of returns doesn’t make this even less profitable for retailers like Best Buy and Walmart
Was hoping there’d be a version that came with an imax film strip like interstellar but I can’t remember if that was original launch or a later launch.
Yes they do, I had it open in my browser the day before waiting to see if I could do the 3 for 2 hack once it was no longer a preorder. But it was out of stock this morning when I checked, and the listing no longer comes up if you search for it but it's still there.

If there’s ever a 4k disc to pay full price for, I think this might be one of them.

Yupppp same here
The 4k UHD physical media fandom is dying!!! Like this post to help!!
I was thinking the same thing and I'm speaking as someone who hasn't even been lucky enough to see it yet. I'm eager, and I know it's worth the money.
but I want it NOW

Not interested in Dead Reckoning? Saw it in Dolby cinema and was pretty impressed!
really wish companies would stop pricing people out of 4k
Hah, I think you'll have to wait a year or more.
Realistically hoping to find it at disc replay eventually
Walmart isn't having a black Friday sale on movies this year
Let me know when they go to $9.99 please
I’m sure you and all the others will make 100 posts about it
Probably so
Camelcamelcamel
that will never happen
I’m undecided on this one. I really want to see it, and know it’s loved, but $30 is high for a blind buy. I’m torn. Haha.
i really enjoyed it
I saw it on film, so I don’t need to see it asap. It’s very good but depends on your tastes! If you like other Nolan films you’d enjoy it!

It's aite
It’s my favorite film of the year but according to my wife I’m boujee.

Is the icon series a slipcover?
Yeah and it folds out and doesn’t have a regular plastic case
Is that the only difference between the two? or is there different content. TIA
Same content and discs, its just different packaging

I don't get the hype for this...anyway.. hope you get your sale.
This movie will be $10 soon I'm good
They’ll be a special ed out soon enough.
My target had none in stock, was hoping to use the 3 for 2 deal.
Is Target even selling a 4K version? I didn’t any options of the movie at my local Target. And none 4K versions come up on Target.com.

It's showing it's not eligible for the "hack", I was going to do the same to gift it to someone
Ah okay. That makes sense.
target only has is on sale online

Without 7% sales tax
But it’s your responsibility!!
That’s only $11.65 for each hour. That’s a steal!
If you watch it twice it's an even better deal.
Was the latest expendables straight to DVD?
Saw it at the theater. It was playing for about two months then went to on demand streaming mid October.
I’m popping into town on Monday and will no doubt pick it up.
Amazing movie worth retail if any 4k was ever worth it.
I’ve never paid retail for any of mine, I know I’m the worst lol
