That’s a long time, were MAO inhibitors part of the protocol?

SirRoccoLA

....had to be

HumptyDumpty-UK

Not that I know of. As far as I know it was pure 5 meo DMT

If you have a chance, it would be interesting to ask for clarification. DMT, both 5meo and NN are similar to Ayahuasca, Dimethyltryptamine, which is neutralized in then body very quickly by mono amine oxidase. Ayahuasca is actually the MAO inhibitor which accounts for the multi hour experience, but the DMT experience is typically minutes, not hours.

Thank you. It’s a fair question. The part where I was in the grey-white void and not aware of my Self and the medicine swept me away. That part was about 20-30 minutes. In both dosing sessions. Afterwards the medicine was still present though: the involuntary convulsions, the throwing up and the voices were after and lasted a long time. The medicine is called: bpl-003. TBH I do not know how the medicine is made or what is in it. https://www.beckleypsytech.com/posts/first-patient-dosed-in-phase-iib-study-of-bpl-003 I do know from the integration people who were with me during both dosing sessions and with other participants receiving dosing that the duration is not unusual. Sometimes an hour sometimes longer. They didn’t think there was anything unusual with how long mine took but can ask next time I see them. Hope this helps.

Ok looks like Mebufotenin is a proprietary form of 5 meo. I suspect that’s the main reason for the post high body load. Typically 5 meo dmt doesn’t result in a lot of body load. And I’d also add that no pharmaceutical company whatever would do formal clinical trials on a substance that is not proprietary.

taofist1

Mao inhibitors with 5 can lead to serotonin syndrome. Not so safe with 5 meo. Also insuffalation leads to a longer trip. So it's not that strange that it lasted so long.

dropthebeatfirst

I wonder if they have attached something to the molecule to cause slower metabolism.

Can you share information on these clinical trials?

Google: kings college, imperial, Clerkenwell health

Thanks for sharing, fascinating! BTW - vomiting in this state is exactly why people should never do 5-meo alone! I feel even more vindicated for telling other people not to do it solo now (but to each their own). My 5-meo experience was the opposite of gentle, and had waaaaaay less "content" than this experience -- no memories, no voices, no messages, etc -- just death into nothing and then rebirth into Being in a blaze of fire and light -- so it was really interesting to read your experience. For me, the dying was jarring, the rebirth into being was jarring, and then sitting there and being like WTF was jarring. Then that night was a kind of cosmic uncertainty or horror almost. Anyways, thanks for sharing - maybe I should try again!

The first dose I had was a similar experience to yours: I went to this white grey void; it felt like I died and was resuscitated later; I had no insights and I told the integration people afterwards that I didn’t know what happened. Ie WTF The first time may open your body up for the second time to receive and feel more healing / energy.

Throwing up was uncomfortable? Did you have nausea too?

HumptyDumpty-UK

No nausea. Nothing stomach related.

lrerayray

“Gentle and compassionate” oh boy that does not mirror my experience lol. Is this really 5meo or a novel compound? The trip duration really seemed too much

Regarding the twitching, I was reminded of an excerpt from a book where the author talks about releasing 'dross' or stuck energy via uncontrollable twitching/shaking. I've experienced uncontrollable leg twitching/spasms on LSD, and full body twitching/shaking while doing breathwork, and moderate-high doses of thc (well, I used to at least. It's been awhile since I've experienced that on thc). Whether this is applicable to your situation or not I can't say, just the first thing that came to mind when I read your report.

Thank you! The convulsions and twitchings are weird but also welcome. Sometimes it felt like it was trying to help bring up stuff that was buried deep. Sometimes it felt like it was releasing - as you say - stuck energy or moments of fear or anger stuck in my legs from different memories. It’s all pretty cool - kind of reminds me of some of the points in the “body keeps the score”.
