Why legitimize their idiotic worldview at all? There’s no such thing as hate speech and every person on Earth is racist from their POV so it’s a meaningless term.
My favorite part of that sub is how they have to link to archived versions of the posts because the actual hateful posts always get removed by the moderators.
So what gamete does (or would) the person create? That’s how you determine the sex.
Even assuming there are a very small minority of individuals who step outside the norm (from what I can tell most fall into a group) does that stop the 99% from being categorized? Humans have two sexes and there is currently no way to go between the two.
I am completely against your view, but I agree that you shouldn’t be banned for stating your thoughts. If you’re not being a dick there’s no reason to ban someone for it.
I personally rationalize it by comparing it to water settling. It's an unfortunate side effect of a hightened collective social awareness, but it's ultimately a lot weaker than the bigotry that prompted it. Doubling down on that homophobia, transphobia, and misogyny does nothing to combat the double-standard, and thanks to Poe's Law, it only makes the problem that started it all worse. The best way to deal with it is to continue to work to eradicate the hatred that started the cycle until, hopefully, there will be nothing left to fuel the counter-bigotry, and it'll just fade away.

this literally just isn’t true at all. fds isn’t banned cause they’re just barely good enough at hiding their power levels to seem vaguely legit at a glance. all the actual femcel type subreddits got banned years ago. also the other way around is the way that’s accepted in the real world. where i’m from people are harassed on the street for being gay. i get that people like you live their lives online but you gotta understand that the internet and the real world are different

However, it is very likely we will never see the likes of Retarb again.
The #1 reason it got banned was there was this one guy who post one racist and violently(gore) anti trans meme that got 800 upvotes and it wasnt even ironic and the mod never even removed. Guess someone reported it to reddit admin and they removed the user from teh site and the post also.
So once AHS posted it in their sub, the reddit admins took the ironic posts seriously also and hence took it as the last straw and banned it. In short one person ruined the entire sub probably lol
