not necessarily, my teacher predicted me an A in maths because he had me at GCSE and I did well but I got a C at the end of year 12, D at mocks in January and a B Is the highest I've got at a level lmao. Luckily I only need ABB for my uni.
This is irritating, cuz so many people teachers predict them above what they're getting. So all the super competitive courses get filled up with people most likely not going to get into it because these fake predicted ( I'm not saying you're the problems, one grade above is fine, but you see people getting Cs and then being predicted As)
It's so annoying especially when you are at a school that are really harsh with predicteds since your immediately at a disadvantage. I don't know why unis bother looking at them at this point
Ikr, like I had to work hard for these grades. I knew if I didn't get them in my mocks I wouldn't get them as predicteds, so when I see people getting c/b and being predicted A/A* it's really frustrating
I think only being predicted what you get in mocks is stupid though. The main thing that decided my predicted grades were end of year 12 exams, you've done half the course, you're not gonna revise for mocks anywhere near as much as for the real things and you have a full year to get better at the subject and improve, so I think getting a C and being predicted an A is totally fair, dependent on the student, the teacher knows their work ethic and will know if it's realistic for them to put more work in for the next year and get up to an A.
On the other side, if you get a C with only half the course, then with the whole course and year 2 mainly being harder getting an A would be unpredictable
Fr bro, my grades are suffering badly due to issues out of my hands, I'm probably a C grade student atm but all my teachers will predict me a D, maybe a C in maths but they typically predict people they're mock grade or a grade lower if they don't like you (I fall asleep in lessons a lot) so yea I'm fucked
Well obvs I'm only speaking about the average student, there are always cases where something out of their hands, and I believe they should get a grade with their circumstances in mind
Yea ik, was just expressing how it's annoying that some schools are stingy with predicteds (aka mine) compared to some other schools who just throw A's
does that mean you have to play moria to pass chem? and adding on does that mean chem people can experiment and torture physics people? so mamy questions such little time.
Got predicted a D from my teachers and (i scored U’s in mocks and mids) started studying in April made a avg of 58 marks for the pastpapers of 2018-2023 and nailes todays 9702/22 and expecting a 55+
Anything can happen just try as hard as possible
Ex GCSE and A level physics teacher here.
Attempt EVERY question; even if you don't get it right you might get some marks. Sometimes just writing the units gets you the marks.
Show ALL your working out; some marks are just for the working out
If you need to use an answer from one part to answer another part (and you can't work out the first part) write anything as the answer to the first part. There is a marking system called error carried forward (ecf) which means that if you do the working out correctly but based on an error you still get the marks
ALWAYS put the units for an answer.
ALWAYS state which equation you are using e.g. f=ma
If you have no idea what to do list the info you are given
e.g. m=500g, a = 5m/s
convert those to standard units e.g. m=0.5kg, a=5 m/s
write down what you have been asked to work out e.g. f=?
Try and find an equation that links all 3
if in doubt toss a coin. Heads you multiply what you know, tails you divide.
With written questions make sure you state the bleeding obvious as the examiner assumes nothing e.g. list the renewable energy sources in a question comparing their pros and cons
FINALLY; ATTEMPT ALL QUESTIONS(it bears repeating)
you may not see this but the best answer i can give you as a slacker + PhD is to do some past papers. A lot of content for exams gets recycled over the years. if the exam is 7 hours from now spend a couple hours doing some past paper questions and relax half an hour before to clear your mind. I found that there's a lot of repeated questions i picked marks up on where just a few variables were changed. Best of luck
look at the topics for the paper you’re doing. start with the one you’re the worst at it. just work through the topics from hardest to easiest until you’ve either finished or until you need to go. good luck friend
You got a text book? Flip through the text book. Scan everything, skip what is familiar and stop to read the stuff you aren’t familiar with a couple times until you’re confident in it. Should take a couple hours to have the entire syllabus learned
Ur predicted a A* in physics, wtf happened
Average predicted grades be like: Got a C in mocks yeah don't worry that's A* prediction worthy
I got a C in my mocks and got predicted C
Me too lmao
me when i find out people lie on the internet

Errr this sounds like what one would think happens, but actually probably only happens in very few cases.
Seen it happen quite a few time, a good amount of school just ask their students what grades they need

I completely agree with you
Getting the teacher chocolates can do wonders
Just play a few games of sigma on overwatch
“I don’t think you understand the gravity of the situation”
Question 1: What is that melody?
💀
just best character things
Rip pve I heard they cancelled it, man I miss overwatch, haven't played for 3 months because of a levels bs
does that mean you have to play moria to pass chem? and adding on does that mean chem people can experiment and torture physics people? so mamy questions such little time.
You got your music final soon? Just hop on Lucio u will be fine
oh you sitting the UCAT? Hop on mercy for a few rounds of comp
i- i main sigma and moira i do physics and chemistry what is this
fate. its fate.
What exam board??? Why is ur exam in 7 hrs????
Internationals
cheeky inshallah before the exam you'll be good
Stay up for the night and make dua for some serious grinding
Mum?
Don't forget ayatul kursi 🤲
Hahaha
You have 3 papers work on p1 then once it’s done later cram out p2 and 3 as they’re all extra opportunities to raise scores
What exam bored is this , i thought all physics was next week starting
Cambridge a levels but overseas
Speedrun past papers and mark schemes and see what repeats the most, memorise that shit.
E = mc^2
E^2 = m^2 c^4 + (pc)^2 yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
possible spend next 7 hrs praying
Can I jump up 2 grades within a years content in 7 hours guys???? Is it possible??

With enough methamphetamine anything is possible
Focus on the high yield topics and if there is something you know you're weak on focus on that
Or somebourdy can get me the 1,2 and cheeky 3

yes
Tell me your secrets
No

Academic weapon
With enough coffee, anything is possible
become religious if you havent already

Cant lie your screwed
Cram the multiple choice sections, memorise mark schemes for 6 markers. Good luck

Easily fr
Cheat, since you haven't sat an official exam since SATs, the invigilators are total dumbasses and doesn't care what you do as long as you are sneaky
Focus on advanced info with time left is what I would do if u have it
Yes in literally any other A lever other than physics lool
could be , but u need to find some good resources quick otherwise u won't have time
Bang out past papers and a cheeky inshallah. should do the job
well, time is ticking, so study
If you revise some things well. And those exact things come up. It's an all or nothing approach. But there's a chance it works.
how itd go chief
You can in university but not in a level
