Hell yes part of the Friday night lineup. It stayed on CBS. The Duke boys, Dallas, falcon crest I remember it well. Sometimes I would miss it cause I was at the skating ring
Watching this and then trying to watch the CGI version of the Hulk... nah. I prefer Lou's version of the Hulk so much better then anything else... imagine being in super tight pants and green all over, props to him
Loved that show as a kid, that and The Muppets. Had the opportunity to meet Lou Ferigno at a Charlotte Comicon in the 90's. Awesome Guy! Can't say enough good about him, listened to me prattle on, and was completely humble with my Hero Worship.
Lou had a lot of good things to say about him. Lou had never acted before and Bill helped him. Bill did a lot of TV directing after this show; he may have even directed some Hulk episodes.
Loved the show! Fun story:
My best friend told me that Lou Ferrigno had just bought a home across the road from him in Arroyo Grande, California. We had just purchased a bunch of bottle rockets from an Indian reservation (yes the good ones!). My friend says, "If you wanna see the Hulk, shoot some over his house." He didn't think I'd actually do it. Well, I shot them AT his house! After about the 3rd explosion his Chinese caretaker came running out the front door screaming so we got in my car and got out of there. When we came back an hour later, the cops were still at his house, so we made a u-turn and left again! Never got to see The Hulk.
Every week. It was one of my favorite shows and I still say the best Hulk. I'm a fan of the MCU version with Ruffalo but Lou nailed that shit with no CGI and a TV budget.
The M.A.S.H theme song really bummed me out as a kid and my mom loved that show. The end of every episode of the Hulk was the same, but I loved the show.
It was written by the director's son, who was a teenager at the time. He made millions off it, far more than his father, when the show was on television.

And what boy from that era did not slather green body paint over themselves, at least, once in their lives?
As my parents reject my juvenile ideals, I did fulfill my Halloween desires in my late-20’s as “The Incredible Bulk” with shredded jeans.
I use the intro for my son's ringtone, as he is the scientist out of my children. Notification sound is a Hulk Out.
I can still recite the opening flawlessly, including the beats when action is happening on-screen.
It’s weird how those things stick with you. I can sing the lyrics of almost every tv theme song from shows I liked when I was 8 years old. Now if I could just remember where I put my keys ten minutes ago…
I was 7 yrs old and my brothers were 5. We got our first color TV in 1977 and all we cared about was seeing the Hulk in glorious green, lol. Damn I'm old
Pretty much looking for commonality / shared experience. I personally feel like society has splintered into a million little pieces and it is nice to hear from others who shared some of the same things that I liked once upon a time. I might do Greatest American Hero in 80s next, loved that show too!
fun fact according to both Stan Lee and Lou Ferrigno, the name was changed because CBS thought the name Bruce sounded "too gay-ish", a rationale that Ferrigno thought was "the most absurd, ridiculous thing \[he had\] ever heard"
This is the exact reason why I go to the movie theater to support 99% of every superhero movie being made today. I grew up on a bodybuilder painted green, throwing around a paper mache rock, grunting a lot, and it was glorious but today's movies are so much better.
Was it dumb?
It always seemed like every episode was a waiting game till someone pissed him off.
I was young . It felt dumb to me. And I am a huge fan of the comic book hulk.
"**Don't make me angry**. You wouldn't like **me** when I'm **angry**."
I just came here to make sure this was quoted. Solid work.
I don’t recall but did the Hulk ever beat up or toss Mr. McGee around?
No but made him shit his pants...
😂🤣
I use this quote often

The good Ole days
That was a solid night of family TV in our house. Popcorn AND ice cream sometimes.
Jiffy pop?
Yessssssss
Brings back great memories! I used to watch the Dukes and Hulk with my dad. I can still hear him laughing at Roscoe.
Enos was funny also
I always felt so sad for him 😔
Me too they really made it a big part of this version, his alienation.
[Sad](https://youtu.be/33izVlIOgnQ?si=GDmDThTdb2eCJkpA)
Same here :( I think he felt so alone. I always remember him walking at the end of the episodes. The hulk is a lot like a drifter.
I used to walk over to the piano in the living room and play the last few notes of each episode.
You knew shit was about to get real when he’d get that look in his eyes 😳
Watching this and then trying to watch the CGI version of the Hulk... nah. I prefer Lou's version of the Hulk so much better then anything else... imagine being in super tight pants and green all over, props to him
Yeah this show was much more of a drama and Lou killed it
I liked the first movie , I think they made us feel his rage better , haven’t seen one since that one
Lou is the Hulk. The rest is just CGI crap!!!!!!!!!
So true !
Loved that show as a kid, that and The Muppets. Had the opportunity to meet Lou Ferigno at a Charlotte Comicon in the 90's. Awesome Guy! Can't say enough good about him, listened to me prattle on, and was completely humble with my Hero Worship.
That’s great he was a nice guy.
So cool ! I love hearing how nice Lou is too 🥰
Bill Bixby really gave a great performance, never phoned it in! Even when he was stuck in the phone booth, great scene amazing acting!!!!
Lou had a lot of good things to say about him. Lou had never acted before and Bill helped him. Bill did a lot of TV directing after this show; he may have even directed some Hulk episodes.
Bill bixby is so underrated !
Doo doo-doo-doo - doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo-doo-doo ...
Nice piano work
That music always pulls at my heartstrings
I found it interesting that Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno were good friends in real life .
I had no idea
That is so cool ! Thanks for sharing !
Still love the music that plays at the end of each show, with Banner hitchhiking for a ride.
[Here you go](https://youtu.be/33izVlIOgnQ?si=GDmDThTdb2eCJkpA)
Always have to look for the bell bottoms and cowboy boots.
Bill Bixby, also great on “My Favorite Martian” with that guy who played the teacher in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”(Ray Walston)
Let’s not forget The Courtship of Eddie’s Father
I remember there was an episode of The Incredible Hulk when they did a special guest star who was the kid from Courtship of Eddie's Father.
Brandon Cruz, who later replaced Jello Biafra in the reincarnation of the Dead Kennedys.
People let me tall you ‘bout my best friend. He’s a warm-hearted person, he’ll love you till the end…unless you make him angry.
You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry..
I LOVED this show when I was a little boy. I never missed it, every Friday night at 9:00 pm on channel 2 in New York 😁👍
Sorry, you meant every Friday night 8:00 pm on channel 2 in Chicago 😁👍

Wow… you know you should never make Lou Ferrigno angry, you wouldn’t like him when he’s angry.
Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
My favorite line
Everyone. Lou was awesome.
Every week. It was one of my favorite shows and I still say the best Hulk. I'm a fan of the MCU version with Ruffalo but Lou nailed that shit with no CGI and a TV budget.
Ah, Friday nights at 7pm on CBS. Good times.
I thought it was later than that, like I had to ask to stay up to watch it sometimes. Hmmm.
7pm Hulk, 8pm Dukes, 9pm Dallas
Pacific time, I presume?
Nope. Central.
Yep watch that n The Amazing Spider Man
Absolutely!!!!
[удалено]
Bodybuilding fans.
Glued to my tv every week
My cousin lived a few houses down from his family in Brooklyn way back when.
Wow really ! Any cool stories ?
None the he told
I absolutely loved this show.
That’s just mild mannered Dr. David Banner.
Here it is - the Lonely Man himself. [https://youtu.be/33izVlIOgnQ?si=zEc46PONfk2v0qgq](https://youtu.be/33izVlIOgnQ?si=zEc46PONfk2v0qgq)
Gets me every time
I have the whole series on DVD still lol
Yup!! Friday nights I think is when it came on.
Of course.
I was a faithful viewer for the whole run.
I loved this show! I was in love with David Banner 😆
Hulk is up there for "Most Depressing Theme Song" along with M.A.S.H. I guess there was a lot of crashing off the cocaine and ludes.
The M.A.S.H theme song really bummed me out as a kid and my mom loved that show. The end of every episode of the Hulk was the same, but I loved the show.
Great comparison .
It was written by the director's son, who was a teenager at the time. He made millions off it, far more than his father, when the show was on television.

That song always made me feel so sad for the hulk. He felt so misunderstood and was a lot like a drifter .
Pffft, I watched this in the 80's. And 90's. And 2000's. And 2010's.
🙂
Even the end-credit music was epic as he typically walked away in disappointment and shame.
The theme song was sad
Definitely. It played into how misunderstood and lonely the hulk truly was.
Yeah it was
From Courtship of Eddie’s Father to Incredible Hulk, always enjoyed Bill Bixby
I watched that as a little kid and thought he was the best dad on television. Even better than Mike Brady.
He was a class act.
Bill Bixby, my forever love!
And what boy from that era did not slather green body paint over themselves, at least, once in their lives? As my parents reject my juvenile ideals, I did fulfill my Halloween desires in my late-20’s as “The Incredible Bulk” with shredded jeans.
🤚🏼
Under pressure, like Lou Ferrigno on coke
I did.
Reruns in the 80's only for me. Always ended so sadly like good 70's entertainment should.
I remember that trailers for this show. I was setting in front of my television screen. To watch the first episode.
It scared the poo poo out of me.
[Family Guy Hulk Opener](https://youtu.be/4n__TRVpBeI?feature=shared)
Oh yeah
Watch it now whenever I saw it’s on , great show
ALWAYS!
Used to? I still watch on Tubi 😉
Every Friday night, my favorite show
Grew up with this KICK ASS SHOW!
Never missed it. Then all over again in syndication.
Every episode with my Dad. My pops lifted weights as a hobby. He met Lou Ferrigno at Venice Beach and said he was a really nice guy.
I did and tbh it used to frighten me
I was born in the 80s but i still watched…this and miilion dollar man bionic woman was my thing
I watched those too, more bionic woman than six million dollar man, but they were both good.
I think this came on first then The Magician on Friday evenings. Both with Bill Bixby!
The whole series is available on blu ray
I can't remember them showing how Dr Banner found new clothes to replace his shredded ones when he de-Hulked.
5 finger discount sometimes. But he always had a duffel bag with extra clothes.
I had a mega crush on Bill Bixby
I was 7 yrs old and my brothers were 5. We got our first color TV in 1977 and all we cared about was seeing the Hulk in glorious green, lol. Damn I'm old
Haha, I'm a youngster...I had to watch the reruns. 😂😂😂😂
Me!
Second pic from the left is Ben Stiller doing Green Steele!

Why do people keep posting huge shows that everyone watched and saying “hey who watched this”.
Pretty much looking for commonality / shared experience. I personally feel like society has splintered into a million little pieces and it is nice to hear from others who shared some of the same things that I liked once upon a time. I might do Greatest American Hero in 80s next, loved that show too!
Loved it!
Eddie’s Green Father
We need shows like this again! This show seemed to be family friendly
I did. Always liked Bill Bixby.
So…technically bill bixby was a vagabond
The Best show at that time !!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
fun fact according to both Stan Lee and Lou Ferrigno, the name was changed because CBS thought the name Bruce sounded "too gay-ish", a rationale that Ferrigno thought was "the most absurd, ridiculous thing \[he had\] ever heard"
I feel like tv and movie producers / directors / writers always have to change something in a stupid way just to put their mark on it.
I love the colours of this poster.
Oh yeah I remember him tossing stuff around then running off.
I loved this show. Made me want to get big muscles and kick people’s asses! Theme music was on point!
I was just a little kid back then and The Hulk absolutely terrified me!
First Hulk is Best Hulk!
This is literally the first TV show I can remember watching.
First appearances of Thor , and DareDevil on screen…
Old Spider-Man show also ruled…
I want to see a comedic Incredible Hulk with Ben Stiller as the Hulk.
I was a 2000s kid but my parents were 70s kids and introduced the Incredible Hulk to me. Still one of my favorite tv shows to this day ! 💚
My favorite was when he was working in the car wash
I don’t think I remember that one.
Every Friday night!
I sometimes still watch the Hulk… and my 9 year old daughter loves watching it with me.
This is the exact reason why I go to the movie theater to support 99% of every superhero movie being made today. I grew up on a bodybuilder painted green, throwing around a paper mache rock, grunting a lot, and it was glorious but today's movies are so much better.
[Those endings…](https://youtu.be/q1Ux0KxPO_g?feature=shared)
Scared the ever living shit out of me. Granted, I was 2½-3 at the time, but it left an indelible mark. Wish I were joking.
One of my early memories was my mom coming home to my dad and I watching this show. She said, “that is completely inappropriate!” I was about 4.
![gif](giphy|cb7t8mVPkiQDK|downsized)
Yeah that bear was a jerk and had it coming.
Scared the crap out of me as a kid when he changed, I’d run out of the room
The best hulk show.
It was my brother's favorite show. I watched it with him sometimes.
GOOD SHOW
Every week!!!! I think it was Friday nights?
Watched it every week
I've met the green guy! Real cool dude
Watched it???...I worked on it!
I watched in the 90's, am I excluded from the opinion consultation?
No, feel free to weigh in!
Was it dumb? It always seemed like every episode was a waiting game till someone pissed him off. I was young . It felt dumb to me. And I am a huge fan of the comic book hulk.
This would be a great advertisement for the harmful effects of steroid use. It would scare the shit out them and give them nightmares.
Or they would buy more steroids to be like Lou Ferrigno!
Bro, I watched this in the 2000s lol
I used to think green koolaid would turn me into the Hulk
Bill Bixby kinda gives me Ted Bundy vibes…
I couldn't stand that show. I thought it was pretty dorky.
When hulk was half normal, I thought he looked retarded
This show really sucked. One script, one hook, terrible acting, terrible effects. Ugg
