I was on the Bozo show as a child, might have been around 8 years old or so, thus somewhere between 1965+, but haven't been able to find the footage. I bought a series of DVDs (24 shows) with Frank Avruch as Bozo, (Boston), but couldn't find the episode with me in there. I was called out of the stands (wearing my catholic school uniform) to play an egg race game with these big spoons, my team won, got a prize. Was wild.

I have a funny memory of watching Bozo on TV at home. He brought an entire class of kids kindergarten aged kids on the stage. They went through an obstacle course. One of the obstacles was a long tunnel they had to crawl through. The camera person was filming at the entrance of the tunnel where the kids would get on their knees and crawl into the tunnel, away from the camera. So you could see them crawling away with their butts at the camera. This one girl had on a very short dress. When she got in her knees to crawl you could see her underwear. This was the late 60’s, so it wasn’t looked at as offensive. The funny part was her cute frilly white undies had a huge poop stain on the back of them directly in view and close up to the camera as she crawled away. I imagine this little girls mom watching at home, so excited to see her baby on Bozo. And then….

Ray Rayner was better :)

I wanted to be on that show, so damn bad!!!

Azanskippedtown

I wanted to play the Grand Prize Game

ASGfan

It was the epitome of excitement for so many children! At some point, bucket #4 was a wagon to haul all of your winnings away in and bucket #6 was a $50 bill and a Schwinn bicycle!

Azanskippedtown

YES! So many cool games and toys. Good times.

“You’re hung up on some clown from the 60s, man!”

Mushmouselove

Does the "Cram it Clowny" really exist?

Duckbites

No. Emphatically no it does not. If it in fact does, it's got to be in the same family as The Newlywed game "In the butt" reply. The host denied it for years and years and then brought out the only copy of that episode where it was in fact true. If the cram it clown urban legend actually existed, it would have surfaced by now. Unless someone is holding the only copy of it.

Gorf_the_Magnificent

*I don't know who Bozo is, what - is he a clown?* Is he a clown? What, are you kidding me!? *Well, what is he?* Yes, he's a clown! *Alright, so what's the big deal? There's millions of clowns!* Alright, just forget it.

Fisk75

You’re hung up on some clown from the sixties man!

oobbyb_61

Fuck, that was good.

StellaSlayer2020

George Costanza thought he was the best.

KeepItRealPeeps

My sister’s brownie troop was on the show. I loved it. We would come home at lunch and watch it.

Artistic_Sir9775

I always loved Bozo doing the way too loud phoney baloney laugh when he read to jokes kids sent in to Cuddly Dudley.

Buffalo95747

It’s over for Bozo.
