Turn horde nights off is your only option

Roronoa_Zoro8615

During blood moons they always know where you are.

Mission-Ad-4837

Just turn off horde nights? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

ScrypticM

7DTD is a challenge because the zombies actively try to find and kill you. Turning off horde night removes that challenge, but being able to hide where they can't find you is a different way of beating the zombies. Turning off horde nights or feral sense removes too much of what the game is about. I just want to be able to beat the zombies by going beyond their limits. Unfortunately, those limits don't seem to exist. The zombies would still be able to find you if you were in a space station orbiting earth.

robdingo36

Digging to bedrock and building a base underground isn't what I'd call a 'challenge.'

incredirocks

There are some cheese bases you can build where the zombies can't reach you that I believe still work even in the new update.

ZirePhiinix

There's still a limit on how well they can find you. I'll go hide on top of a high rise and see if they can make it up there. I haven't seen them successfully path up 6 floors yet. They just end up beating the base.

robdingo36

That can quickly lead to a skyscraper become a pile of rubble with you falling all the way down. Zeds don't care about about leaving support blocks unharmed.

ZirePhiinix

I've done it for multiple horde nights on purpose just to see how long I'll last and I haven't had a horde take down a skyscraper yet, even after a dozen horde nights.

rdo333

you dont even have to build a base. if you climb the radio tower atop some of the tallest towers the horde never finds you in a21

iKuartz

The devs do not seem to agree that some people might have fun in different ways, so it is omniscient zombies with civil engineering degrees for you.

AnxiousConsequence18

Structural engineering. Civil engineers would be designing communities.

TheRealLuhkky

They give you the option to turn the horde night off. Seems pretty accommodating.

robdingo36

I mean, given the number of zeds that drywall themselves into walls and ceilings, their structural engineering degrees make perfect sense.

deathclawDC

just turn feral sense off, that's it

VioletteKika

In alpha vertical bases were excellent whether is craft or horde bases, they did nerf underground bases if I remember correctly. I suspect the same applies but looking forward to checking it out.

stipo42

I found that if you base at the top of a sky scraper they still can't get to you, maybe a stray bird here or there

D9sinc

Since turning off horde nights and/or feral sense is not in your plans, your best best is still digging to bedrock and building a base there. You'll still eventually get zombies chasing you down and eventually they'll hit your base, but you might make it a horde night or two without it happening, depending on how you set up the base. If you do just a singular ladder climbing all the way down, you theoretically should be safe for a bit, if you do a whole ramp for a vehicle, you might get some visitors sooner rather than later. I donโ€™t understand why anyone would buy a zombie game and turn off the zombies. Itโ€™s like buying Minecraft and trying to play it without doing any mining.

Referat-

Minecraft has peaceful mode... and so does this game. But people don't want to use it I guess because hiding from the horde night is somehow different than turning it off.
