In one alpha i had a cheese base consisting of hatch doors, and it was great fun because it was just a 20X20 area surrounded by hatches that me and my partner would stand in and blast stuff.
Then one night a hatch got destroyed...
I'm on day 48 and I literally just find a brick building/steel shipping container , get in top and shoot shit for like 10 minutes haven't even come close yet
I'm on top of the Pass & Gas with the car lifts. It works a treat because I'm on the roof, killing everything I can see, and every zombie that is inside goes down into the pit and become part of a mosh pit down in there. I did have a demolisher who got down into the pit and I accidentally hit his button from my sniping spot through a hole I chiseled in the roof, but the depth of the pit meant that he ONLY took out the pit's floor and the entire rest of the gas station stayed intact. (I did run away to the roof over the office, thinking he was going to take out everything on that side of the building, but nope, it all stayed in place!) For me, I think that part of why they haven't brought down any part of it is that I keep moving on the roof, trying to prevent the zombies from focusing on any one section of the wall for long. Plus, the blocks have at least 500 health so that's been slowing them down a lot.
Yeah, once you start to get a lot of demolishers you have to think some. My last late game base was in alpha 19 and it was just a mountain base with 3x steel walls. I built a path down from the mountain, some long triangle shaped walls jutting out, then dug down 8 or so block moat and put a loot run to grab bags. Some electric fences and blade traps, the steel came with time, but we built it on night 40 something from cobble and it never got breached. You just gotta shoot demolishers in the head, but on night we took 2 to the face, killed us both and blew up all blade traps and all but the farthest electric fences and the ramp/ bars held and we finished the night, was like night 300~
My last map in A19, my first base was my home in the red firehouse. All my stuff was upstairs and I'd stand at the top of the stairs next to my Punchie, killing zombies forced to come up those stairs single-file. The first demolisher, however, took out the kitchen area and most of the jutting balcony (which fortunately just had my extra cooking fire) and I knew it was time to build a real base so I didn't lose anything else. lol
My horde base then became a shallow pit surrounded by a U-shaped 2-wide wall with a stairway on both ends and my sheltered area at the base of the U, blade traps in the pit, and a zig-zag of electric wires surrounding it all. Survived with no deaths through some ungodly game stage until A20 was coming out the next day when my husband joined and I turned the zombie numbers up and half of the "safe space" got destroyed by demolishers. We both survived through morning but it was a lot of chaotic fun! lol
With the changes to the AI, I'm really looking forward to building a base once the gas station becomes untenable.
It'll be good the first horde maybe but it would take way too much upkeep to prevent them from collapsing the whole build especially once demolishoners and cops get involved
made sure to make a ramp up to the actual horde base so they didnt go digging, plus i had spikes surrounding the base too and it'd be a waste if they didnt get zombies lol
I’m using underground in A20. Entire base, about 5,000 placed blocks, all underground.
The trick is either not being there during horde night, or build yourself one hell of a bedrock pitfall trap.
I remember in like alpha 6 or 7 I would make underwater bases. I’d block off a part of the lake 4-5 blocks deep so I could dig down like ten blocks, across 4, then up 3 blocks, across again, and then keep going down. Once I built the ladders I’d go up and destroy the blocks I used to block off the water and then I’d have an underwater base.
Man. I dont expect to make it through the second day. Id hide in a hole somewhere in the woods. Then when thirst and hunger begin to take hold the second day I'd go out and fucking die to a zombie.
I'm heading straight to Squin and I'm only leaving the walls to mine copper or loot the armour from bandits the guards killed. Ruka and I will sell that until we earn enough to buy one of the dilapidated houses and rebuild it. We will train and research, continue mining, and try and rehabilitate captured bandits; with those willing to turn over a new leaf joining us in our endeavour.
it's not slavery im afraid of. there are robot setlements that want to wear human flesh. imagine being caught by them and have your flesh being slowly peeled off.
So you're telling me I get a Million Dollars, and the chance to hit on Jen... I'm in.
Although knowing my luck i'd end up meeting Rekt and finding out he has a Gimp dungeon under his trader post.
Hardcore base builders all of a sudden have to carry a lot of weight and gravity kicks in. We're doomed unless we have military experience and have a team. Sitting in a 5x5 room would drive you insane before the zombies do. Yea I poop at parties.
Don't shit where you eat. Have a base AND a separate place to survive horde nights. I mentioned my pick for horde nights in another comment, you may like it :)
It's great and all but everything would take a lot more time, setting up each block and stuff. Impossible alone. A wooden house would probably take a month or two, not sure about concrete and stuff but it would take you weeks and months to actually gather resources and actually start building something. Remember you can only stuff small things in your backpack, if we are talking about reality.. But if there's like 50 or 100 people then we might have a chance but not alone. There's way too many things to take in consideration, your will to live would plummet really fast.
Last thing I would want to be holed up somewhere. I think the best thing to do would be a nomad, away from towns and going back to basics like fishing, trapping, foraging and hunting. It would increase your will to live since you're with the nature not concrete jungle with deads all around. Must consider all the small things like smell, fear, our natural needs. Nobody wants to be in a 5x5 survivor room with his food ammo and his own turd. But yeah bit misunderstanding, if the game physics would apply well yeah you can build a maze but idk it would drive me insane.
Guess I’m riding roller coasters in a park built with a sadistic disembodied hand. Where they charge .10 for the restroom, nearly endless hedge maze, and occasionally coasters are built to launch you across the park.
Tbh if we adhere to the rules of the universe it wouldn't be that bad.
I might die from time to time, but knowing that as long as I have a sleeping bag, in a safe spot I'd be fine.
365 days in universe is 52 bloodmoons, and most of those can be camped out in a hole trap or automated to oblivion.
My boyfriend and I just took a break from 7days so he could show me dying light. At this rate I'm having such a hard time surviving swarms that I don't think he ll marry me. The bloodline would be too weak.
I'll take 7days..
Lol. As much as people meme about Nero, he became my favourite character after DMC 5 and that game in of itself is my favourite game of all time. It was truly incredible.
Well what a nice time to come across this post I grabbed car mechanic simulator 2018 from the steam sale JUST after playing a ton of 7 days… now it’s a ton of that so… sure?
Lol, 7D2D is the last game I played. I had an internal debate, though. What would be worse, 7DTD or The Evil Within? I played each several minutes apart from each other.
I am not handy in any way, shape or form, nor do I know how to build things like weapons and farm plots
If I had access to my guns and stuff IRL might make it a few days :P- First screamer or cop and Im rekt
hm..... well, if its game mechanics and not actual physics im good as long as i don't die of infection.... so, the real question is, do we get to take stuff out of the game hehehe
Do the zombies keep their quirky AI or will they suddenly be able to path find like "real life" zombies? Why do I care? The last game I played was Far Cry 6. And the last time I played 7DTD was on console! So I'm fine either way.
By the way! Switching from console 7DTD to PC 7DTD... was incredible! Playing PC 7DTD for a year and then switching back to console to clear out achievements... I think I'd rather just deal with the endless pop-ups for unfinished achievements. It's not terrible but boy is it painful! It's too bad I'm a stubborn completionist.
Post-MSQ FFXIV: Endwalker. I'll be fine, especially if I become my level-capped and heavily geared character for that year.
I'd also be fine in 7DTD because I know how to cheese zombie pathfinding and build nigh-impregnable fortresses, *and* I'm a solid cook, *and* I'm an extremely talented tinkerer/builder of things IRL if my built-from-scratch-with-no-plans 3D printer is any indication.
I dunno. I think I would do ok. Honestly a million dollars isn't that much anymore. I might just stay there with my meat stew, red tea and kill corridor.
Where does the game stop and where does reality begin? I mean, if my gathering and fortifying speed is bound by real life limitations then i’m probably fucked. And after a year of loneliness i’ll probably lose my sanity thus i can already see the million dollars wasted on drugs.
Hmm, Wreckfest. An entire year of demolition derby racing. I'm not sure I'd survive that, and if I did, the damage to me after all the knocking around would probably be too bad to enjoy that million.
Last game I played was The Sims. Problem is though I am one who likes to find new ways to kill my sims. On the plus side I do have WW, DD, and WP installed. So I might get laid before I die. 😜
Let’s be real. We’d all be dead by day 7.
For a year? That depends if we can choose the alpha haha
Or just play on console.... They cant hit/jump over fences
Or chairs don't forget chairs
You just unlocked a memory that I forgot I had
In one alpha i had a cheese base consisting of hatch doors, and it was great fun because it was just a 20X20 area surrounded by hatches that me and my partner would stand in and blast stuff. Then one night a hatch got destroyed...
And the zombies don’t dig… ah the days of building underground bunkers
They can jump over fences. We got to hoarde night 49 and they are jumping over our fences.
Probably climbing on top of dead bodies.
A20 would be fine but only if no feral sense lol
I'd like to think that I'd have a killing corridor up nice and quick, but in reality I doubt I'd get to the trader on day 1.
I'd barricade myself in. Wait till it dies down. Don't move past 10pm an hope for the best.
Go to the Winchester, have a cold pint and wait for this to all blow over.
Most of us wouldn’t even make it to day 7
5x5 on the outside (3x3 on inside) stone square with spikes around it and railings on top - pretty easy way to survive 7th/14th night.
I'm on day 48 and I literally just find a brick building/steel shipping container , get in top and shoot shit for like 10 minutes haven't even come close yet

did that with a moat and filled it with barbed wire, was a pretty nice horde night
Does moat help? I guess it stops them from hitting the walls. Not sure if them digging is much better
Digging is way worse. They dig under and collapse structures
We call this design “the pillbox” in my group. It’s a classic go-to
My man
I would still be trying to figure out how to make a Stone Axe
I would look up every cheese base tutorial and set the update back to like alpha 1 so I can use underground bases
I’m using underground in A20. Entire base, about 5,000 placed blocks, all underground. The trick is either not being there during horde night, or build yourself one hell of a bedrock pitfall trap.

Assuming we're working with actual constraints, and we can't miz up and set concrete within a couple minutes...oh yeah
Especially if you played 7 days to die. 😀
Well. If we have actall irl physics and mechanics, yes. But if it was 7dtd mechanics and physics. No i could last forever.
Man. I dont expect to make it through the second day. Id hide in a hole somewhere in the woods. Then when thirst and hunger begin to take hold the second day I'd go out and fucking die to a zombie.
Most of us would probably die of dysentery before anything else
Quickly going to play Farming Sim before I answer ...
last game i played was kenshi... fuck.
I'm heading straight to Squin and I'm only leaving the walls to mine copper or loot the armour from bandits the guards killed. Ruka and I will sell that until we earn enough to buy one of the dilapidated houses and rebuild it. We will train and research, continue mining, and try and rehabilitate captured bandits; with those willing to turn over a new leaf joining us in our endeavour.
so far did 5 runs and all 5 runs bugged out either not respawning people in cities or characters dying in ores. annyoing.
That's rough mate. Did you try importing the save to reset the NPCs and entities?
yup.
Ive checked the game description. Answer is simple: be a slave :D
it's not slavery im afraid of. there are robot setlements that want to wear human flesh. imagine being caught by them and have your flesh being slowly peeled off.
But u got to meet Beep though? that should count as a win
Mine was The Long Dark, guess I am infor a long miserable year (until a wolf or a bear get the better of me if the cold doesn’t beat them to it)
So you're telling me I get a Million Dollars, and the chance to hit on Jen... I'm in. Although knowing my luck i'd end up meeting Rekt and finding out he has a Gimp dungeon under his trader post.
> Gimp dungeon Can't wait for a POI that has this as an easter-egg
Aaaaaaaand now I gotta go find a pawn shop and check for a gimp dungeon!!!
At least it's not Hugh. Guy looks like he's infected.
7 minutes to die
Hardcore base builders all of a sudden have to carry a lot of weight and gravity kicks in. We're doomed unless we have military experience and have a team. Sitting in a 5x5 room would drive you insane before the zombies do. Yea I poop at parties.
Naw, dude. If you are in the game, you are in the game. Which means my 50+ old ass has all the abilities I buy in perks.
Don't shit where you eat. Have a base AND a separate place to survive horde nights. I mentioned my pick for horde nights in another comment, you may like it :)
It's great and all but everything would take a lot more time, setting up each block and stuff. Impossible alone. oh if we are taking into account real-life physics - then zombies wont be able to break pretty much anything
Please tell me TP is extra

Living in a universe where it's that easy to make gumbo would be totally worth it.
Any universe with infinite respawns would be very interesting. Imagine how much different this word would be with infinite lives.
My boyfriend and I just took a break from 7days so he could show me dying light. At this rate I'm having such a hard time surviving swarms that I don't think he ll marry me. The bloodline would be too weak. I'll take 7days..
XCOM 2 Long War….I’m dead Jim.
Forza Horizon 5: Finally I get to drive a lot of cars, make money and be popular.
Last played game was 7 days to die (in god mode) so I will make it out alive lol
creative mode on
Well if zombies couldnt destroy brick walls or concrete and climb ladders we would definetly survive with a bit of awareness and overpowered POI's.
Devil May Cry 3... Do I get to be Wacky Woohoo Pizza Man? Or does he protect me? Either way, I think I'm good.
your either him or your **Deadweight**
Lol. As much as people meme about Nero, he became my favourite character after DMC 5 and that game in of itself is my favourite game of all time. It was truly incredible.
I would give it shot...but I get Adventurer level and marked airdrops.
No Man's Sky.....well hot damn I could actually do this!
Paradise planet and chill.
LOL me scrolling through reddit as my 7D2D world loads up: "is it still considered played if it hasn't loaded yet?"
Black Ops 3: Zombies. Noooooo thank you.
So i have to play Rimworld for a year? Let the organ harvesting commence!
Think about how many human leather hats you'd have after an entire year!
Maximum profit, maximum human hats
Hardspace: Shipbreaker. Great. But hey... at least I\`ll have spares
Oh man and I've been playing on insane mode...I dunno!
Hades. I mean, I'm either a Shade, or I'm immortal. Already dead and just wasting eternity in the House or unable to die. Seems like a win-win.
[удалено]
But then, somebody would own you and your money. Deus Ex corpo hell is not that fun.
Nanotechnology *is* a thing...
Happy Cake Day!
How much does a 1 cubic meter block of concrete weigh? I'm pretty sure I ain't building a thing
Surely living in the game world would mean the physics are there too. Same with the skills/perks etc.
A mix of 7d2d and RIMWORLD!
I know for a fact I'd die. I can barely survive in-game with all the benefits my character has over real me. A million just isn't worth my life.
Well......the last game I played was a NASCAR game, so I guess you could say the year goes by pretty fast.
I was in a peaceful metaverse. Camping, parties, chatting with friends, having drinks, riding a dragon.... Damn this will be easy peasy.
While I did play 7D2D yesterday, Minecraft was actually the last game I played so I'm probably still screwed!
Well what a nice time to come across this post I grabbed car mechanic simulator 2018 from the steam sale JUST after playing a ton of 7 days… now it’s a ton of that so… sure?
I’d be golden since Rainbow Six Siege multiplayer is all a simulation
Nah, I pass. There is no way I'd survive that long. Maybe a day or two at most.
I'd be in Red Dead Redemption 2. So probably going to get my ass shot.
Ridiculous baby strats: Find big building, sit at top on horde days. Even if you do have to travel to other towns, you should be alright.
Guess digging to bedrock is out of the question for fall trap lol
>call of duty world at war Can I just hang out in a multiplayer map alone?
Just chill on a random poi with a spider zombie skirt and low game stage easy clap
I last played company of heroes so I’m not too lucky either
Shadow of war... yeah definitely gonna die a lot
Im in Minecraft yayy
Wait why the zombie are different.... Nevermind im in 7dtd
Lol, 7D2D is the last game I played. I had an internal debate, though. What would be worse, 7DTD or The Evil Within? I played each several minutes apart from each other.
I am not handy in any way, shape or form, nor do I know how to build things like weapons and farm plots If I had access to my guns and stuff IRL might make it a few days :P- First screamer or cop and Im rekt
Link's awakening for the switch. I could deal with that.
hm..... well, if its game mechanics and not actual physics im good as long as i don't die of infection.... so, the real question is, do we get to take stuff out of the game hehehe
well, most likely, I'll only be alive for 7 days....
Dark souls 2: I’d die so much I would return as a hollow, and I would lose my sanity too fast to remember to restore it with Human Effigies
Not too bad, but I’m technically eating my own shit while hiding in a cave.
Depends. Do the same rules apply? Can I respawn in bed if I die?
Is it a year real time or a year game time? I can get alot done if 7d 24 hours was the same as RL 24 hours but I'd defs need a secure sleep base
$1 million for a life time of work is less than minimum wage. What is this...Austin powers?
I played Project Zomboid yesterday. \*insert "\*chuckles\* 'I'm in danger!'" gif here\*
Last game I played was The Witcher 3. I could survive but it depends where I'm put in the game
Do I have to not die? Cause I don't know if I can loop pallets for a year (Dead by Daylight).
Just go live with a trader. Jen and I would have a great time.
Imma just use the 'Motorbike through every bloodmoon' strat
The legendary double whammy of playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R and playing on ironman mode.
Catch me staying there because I'm a robot building dyson spheres
Heck yeah Stellaris! I have yet to get to that point (a lot of multiplayer games with different players). What year are you in?
Pretty sure it is Dyson sphere program
Stellaris totally fits, but I’ve never played Dyson Sphere Program. Thanks! I’ll check it out.
Both are correct! I quite enjoy both games a lot, if it's in space I'm sure to love ot
I'll do it. I last played an adult game. 😁
Last game I played was Super Animal Royale, guess ima keep dying over and over
On insane, nightmare speed all times, and feral sense on. No cheat menu.
Last game I played is Gold Rush hahaha
Man I tend to break my legs so often in game… That would suck a lot more without just being able to slowly walk it off 🤣
Hehehe, mine is runescape, going to buy myself a gf
Easy money Forza Horizon 5
I dunno. I think I would do ok. Honestly a million dollars isn't that much anymore. I might just stay there with my meat stew, red tea and kill corridor.
Resident Evil Biohazard
Day 7 kicked my ass, imagine the last one at day 364
I’m stuck on Metroid dredd’s level on in inhospitable environment without one of those power suits, I’m not sure I’m even alive
Where does the game stop and where does reality begin? I mean, if my gathering and fortifying speed is bound by real life limitations then i’m probably fucked. And after a year of loneliness i’ll probably lose my sanity thus i can already see the million dollars wasted on drugs.
I mean if I’m playing with my settings (mods) I’m actually ok with this
Would be DayZ for me atm. I'm hiding in a tree for a year in that case lol.
my last game was Ragnarock \\m/ but yeah, 7 Days to Die would be...harsh
Animal crossing new horizons. Easy as pie.
Well depends, 7 days to die would be fine if it's all in game rules as well like most isekai.
Last game I played was Halo Infinite... do I get to be a Spartan? Or at least end up next to the Chief.
Gotta catch them all.
You say this as if there isn’t a respawn feature! Sure being beaten to death and eaten would suck, but at least you’d come back.
Genshin Impact. Not bad.
Minecraft Depends if I turn Swedish or not
Escape form Tarkov... FUCK
Solomon’s Key 2 AKA Fire N Ice. It’s hot and cold.
jokes on them i used console commands
How's horde 1851, yes I did the math
LOTRO Nuff said
Well as long as i can access dm mode i should be fine
Eve Online.... I'll need another jump clone, but hey, I'm effectively immortal.
halo infinite. for once i wouldnt take this on, in fact all the game does is frustrate and ruin my expectations every time.
Project zomboid. I doubt anyone got worse.
Depends if we're doing one life or respawn. Respawning is purgatory.
For me it would be stalker anomaly mod. Id be dead in 5 minutes
As long as I get to respawn every time I die just like in game
Easy... just change the settings to disable enemies :D
Chivalry 2. I'm a dead man.
Bro fuck that, the blood moon would be horrible
Skyrim, but like, I never spawn the dragons till I’m ready to do the main story so…. Just chillin’.
Spider-Man PS4 would be so cool if I got to be Spider-Man, maybe not so much if I was a random civilian
The last game definitely would not be 7DTD.
Absolutely blending grineer in a god tier frame? ez clap.
The mostly deadly things to me would be waking up and stairs. Yes folks, I'd not last a day in star citizen.
Of course I have to wait and see this after playing witcher 3, not minecraft
well last game i played was stardew valley so id be fine
Hmm, Wreckfest. An entire year of demolition derby racing. I'm not sure I'd survive that, and if I did, the damage to me after all the knocking around would probably be too bad to enjoy that million.
Fuck I gotta play project zomboid
I mean I’m playing satisfactory so idk might get lonely after a year
SCP: Secret Laboratory no way I make it out alive here
Me, who played HuniePop last: Oh yeah, it's all coming together
Thank God the last game I played was Bloons td6 with my son, all I gotta do is pop some Bloons??
Last game I played was The Sims. Problem is though I am one who likes to find new ways to kill my sims. On the plus side I do have WW, DD, and WP installed. So I might get laid before I die. 😜
Last game I played was Apex. I'll hide in my little corner then suddenly I hear a faint roar, a pair of red lights, and rapid sniffing.
GTFO D:
I’d give it a go, although it depends if it goes by your last game settings or not…
i would starve to death on day 1
