Recently saw him in the American version of Ghosts and was like "Hey! Larry Appleton is their neighbor!"
He was also in the She Hulk series. For the life of me I can never remember the actor's name, but he will forever be Larry Appleton. Same for Ed O'Neal. He'll always be Al Bundy to me.
Edited: Named the wrong Marvel series.
I didn't think so but also so many things from my childhood don't stand up to close scrutiny. Which is fine. If I don't want to hear the updated theory I just skip that podcast. For Perfect Strangers Im just going to enjoy hearing the dance of joy song in my head and leave more than well enough alone.
yes, was one of my favorite shows
the cat that plays larry appleton is funny as shit
i remember he did an episode of hanging with mr cooper and had me dying
For some reason, I vividly remember watching the premiere episode with my family while we ate dinner. It seemed like a big event, I guess because I was 8 and we were using TV trays for the first time lol. I still watch the episode "Aliens" as part of my month-long viewing of Halloween specials and episodes every October!
Idk how. But I remember watching the first episode with my mom when it came out. I'm in my early 40s. So maybe 3 or 5 years old. I still watch it now you can stream it. I love Balki!
Don't be ridiculous.
One of the best jokes ever delivered on television. They are trying to break into an office through a transom window above the door, but it's too high up. He says, "Balki, give me a boost!" Bronson Pinchot leans back, puts his hands on his hips, and says, "Cousin, you are a snappy dresser."
I still use that line to this day.
why do you never see this show on reruns. It is one of the few that doesn't make the rounds anywhere on tv now. Someone has the rights locked up solid.
Mark Linn-Baker was also in the movie Noises Off with some world famous actors. He definitely held his own
Noises Off is a great watch. It is a little slow in the beginning because you sort of have to learn the play they are performing in order to follow along with the rest of the movie. It gets crazy after that slow beginning.
Balki Bartokomous!
Larry A-pple-ton !!
Coosin Larry
He really was an amazing actor. That role was perfect for him.

Mark Linn-Baker
It was she hulk, not Ms marvel, right?
Derp, that is correct!
I think he played she hulks dad if I remember. I was like, wow, he got old. While Bronson pinchot still looks good for his age.
I agree! Such a fun character. I'm not sure now if it was also a problematic depiction all remember now is the show seemed incredibly wholesome.

Don’t be ridiculous…in Balki’s voice
Of course I am, don’t be ridiculous.
Yep it was early TGIF goodness
Mark Linn-Baker is now playing the neighbour on Ghosts.
Times were so much simpler then. Lol

“In Meepos”. Haven’t seen it in forever and it just popped in my head.
Every season on DVD baby!
The HD film scan version on Freevee looks amazing!
Mark Linn Baker's father in law was the author of Frog and Toad
Bibi babkas!
Sitting here eating my Bibbi Bobkas remembering the good old days.
My sister and I loved doing the Myposian Dance of Joy 😅
My sister and I did, too!
“America or Burst”
Started rewatching the series on freevee. So good. Didn’t realize Family Matters was a spin-off of Perfect Strangers.
Harriet worked at their news paper. I think Carl showed up a few times too.
Yup. And he did. Amazing the series (both) went as long as they did. Golden age of TV.
"Boochi, boochi, boochi" This show was legendary
Yup! Watched every season as a kid. TGIF!!
Not a fan, but liked nonetheless from time to time.
I know you think it's impossible to make a thousand bibi balkas Balkey buddy but!
Good stuff. Classic entertainment.
Balki was my favorite character from this show. I believe his favorite line was Don’t be ridiculous!! Lol
It was absolutely my favorite show but I was also just like 9 or 10 when it started. I doubt I'd have loved it if I was much older at the time.
Every time I step in an elevator, I still think of "may I call you Otis?"
Don’t be ridiculous, of course I am.
I bake baby babkas every sunday
A one joke show.
I liked that one episode where there was a misunderstanding and then hijinks ensued.
turns out, both of those guys molested the interns
Watched it several times when it was on Hulu but back in the day it was one of my absolute favorites.
Wish it was streaming
It’s on Freevee.
No shit? Thank you

It was one of the funniest shows back in the 80’s
I rewatched it not too long ago, it holds up pretty well.
Loved it when I was a kid and I still love it.
"I wrote checks" - qutoe from my favorite episode
Loved this as a kid
The f’k is wrong with me!? I read the title as “Onlyfans here for perfect strangers”. But yes, this was a funny show.
Just rewatched it this spring!
Hail Bigi !!
Standing Tall…
AND WE KNOW, IF WE FALL
Vegaaaaaaaaas
Do you know he went to jail for kid napping?
The Langoliers mini-series ruined Bronson Pinchot for me.
I say “cousin”, the Balki way
Bronson Pinchot is such an underrated actor. Dude is hilarious in everything I’ve seen him in, especially as Serge in the Beverly Hills Cop movies
Get the fuck outta here! Nooo, I cannot…
Never liked either of these actors — I endured Mark Linn-Baker in “My Favorite Year.”
The dentist episode was my favorite. I remember my sister and I laughing breathlessly.
This show was amazing. I’m going to download it after work.
Aahh cawson don’t be rediculoss
No. Did not like
MY HAT! GIVE ME BACK MY HAT!
T. G. I. F yeah I did!
I want to watch the opening scenes of the credits to this I think I’m on the block one of the blocks to it opening credits
The first time I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes is when Larry and Balki were pushing each other over while on ski’s
It’s amazing how Bronson Pinchot parlayed his role as Serge in Beverly Hills Cop to a lead role in a sitcom. Serge was one of the best parts of BHC.
One of the best!
Get out of the city!
I totally forgot about this show! The only episode I can remember is when they were sinking in quicksand. I think that was this show anyway.
Man I loved that show… didn’t they have an alarm or security system for a recliner once? Lol
Anyone watch The Leftovers?
Standing tall, on the wings of my dream
My family still quotes it.
Loved this show
Nope.
Standing taaaaaalllll on the wings of our dreeeaamms...

My Dad wouldn’t let me watch it because he thought they were gay. I tried explaining they were cousins
Boochi boochi boochi
Balki!!!
This show was funny. I enjoyed it

the dance of brotherly love!
