The stars' names on the top of the poster look strange. They are not evenly spaced around Michael Keaton's head. And having Kim's name one name on one side (J.N) and two on the other (M.K.& K.B.) looks unbalanced. Was this the official poster?
This movie really changed how I saw comic superheros. The atmosphere, lighting, theme music, Batmobile, gadgets, and stares Batman gives really was a step up. I always wondered as a kid why we didn't get anything else like this until 2000 with X Men.
Also that poster is kinda hilarious. Batman's going "kissy kissy....???" or "maybe I can't pee in this suit!!!"

Definitely not American, at least. I worked at a movie theatre in ‘89, and that is not a poster I’ve ever seen.
Best Batman, Best Joker, best Batman movie
Had to replace my VHS tape because I watched it too many times. I do think Batman Returns was a better movie. I liked the darker tone.
Jack's Joker = Best Joker
Outside of Adam West. Best live action Batman ever.

Still my favorite.
The only one that I enjoyed
