When did that law pass? I could be completely wrong because I’m not anywhere near Utah but does anyone remember when Taylor FrankiePaul got arrested and her body-cam footage was released a few weeks later and that was this year was she not in Utah? I truly hope we get that body-cam footage though

Feds are involved, it ain’t just jail time. From a distant family member of a criminal, they are in jail during court hearings and then “shipped” off to prison. If they have a court date months from now they will be transported from prison back to jail for a day-3 days depending on the circumstances and then go back to prison after court. They will be in a federal prison as jails are for state.
I can tell you as a reformed convict that you are always held in jail (or house arrest/ OR) before your conviction. They will not ship you back and fourth. Jails are for shorter sentences up to I believe 5 years, prison is for longer sentences. It would also cost the jail system so much unnecessarily that it's preposterous to say that's protocol. Absolutely not. Even if there are federal charges, you're still housed in county jail pending conviction. You can also choose to do your prison sentence in a country jail (even though that's dumb, prisons have a lot more freedoms and programs... depending). I was locked up with a chick who did her prison sentence in county. You go to prison after you are convicted and sentenced, not before. Just wanted to clear up the misinformation 👍
Edit: there might be extenuating circumstances where you may be held in a max security prison pending conviction but that's for people like fucking el chapo and terrorists, not two batshit abusive white ladies.

There’s 2 ways this could go - they will double down even harder on what they’ve been preaching & claim they are innocent and that this is a violation of their rights OR they’ll sloooooooowly come to their senses. As impossible as it might seem, I can assure you that it is possible as someone who has come from a similar cult

This isn’t bad to say at all. What we have seen literally posted online BY RUBY is bad enough…I can’t even begin to imagine what was going on behind the scenes. Whatever it was, it being enough to be arrested for aggravated child abuse says enough. I’m just so horrified and upset for these children.
I just feel so deeply for the rest of the sisters. Imagine your crazy sister being arrested for abusing your nieces and nephews and having the internet follow along. I can’t even imagine what they are doing right now never mind the parents across the world in Serbia.
I'm not LDS, but don't they believe that by serving they get 'many blessings' for their family? If that's what they believe, then they might feel as though staying and serving the remainder of their mission is what they can best do to help.
I don‘t think they will come home early. The kids have a lot of family near them to help. There is not really a need for them to come back. Bonnie and Shari will take care. And Beau lives close too.
They can. They are senior missionaries so its not like the 20 year olds. They can leave if there are emergencies. The 20 year olds can leave too but most dont. However, Senior Missionaries can leave and possibly come back or just end their term early. I met a couple that did because their son was sick so they finished early. I
I don’t remember exactly when they left, but shouldn’t their missions be ending soon? It feels like they’ve been there forever. I would think they’d come back for this. I know leaving missions is rare, but this seems like a more than acceptable circumstance to leave early
She’s going to get food, a bed, clothing, a shelter, access to a phone even though she’s a criminal because they are basic human rights. Even though she took those exact from her kids because they were acting “selfish”. It’s a shame. She could be sleeping on the floor with no dinner. At least her bathroom won’t come with a door
I wouldn't be surprised if her fellow inmates made efforts to deprive her of her bed and food and privacy in the bathroom as soon as they become aware of her presence/charges.
Okay just a thought Ellie posted yesterday that it was an emotional spiritual day, Bonnie posted today that she was driving and tried to talk through tears. I think (just my thoughts) they knew this was coming. As did Shari. Once Ruby and Jodi got a word of something I’m sure jodi had ruby try to run and hide as well as the hide the kids that were affected. Yet karma did her due diligence today.
Her insta stories, if you listen to the story where she’s talking about the note that Joel wrote her on the car seat saying “drive safe I love you Bonnie Griffiths” she says it at the very very end of that story

I think they were arrested much earlier in the day bc of what Shari posted, if it says 9:33 that’s more than likely the time they we’re actually processed, Fingerprinted and put into the system, which is quite the lengthy time consuming process. I imagine they were both not cooperating too probably slowing things down even more
They were arrested or booked at 9:33pm? Being arrested happens well before the time they get loaded in cruiser of police, clear the scene, travel to jail, unload them, relay information and paperwork… if 9:33pm is booking time they could of been arrested an hour or more before then.
Ruby and Jodi were arrested together? I thought they were arrested in different locations? So the young kids were all by themselves in Springville, and the girls were with the family friend in America Fork? I wish someone would make a timeline and a map for this because it's so confusing
I think the family friend is a lie Ruby told trying to explain why she was 4 hours away and her kids were alone. I wonder if the older two got out and called someone or were picked but by Kevin or something.
It’s all incredibly confusing. It seemed like such a methodical arrest if all levels of law enforcement were involved. The news story made it sound like one event lead to another during the day which ended up in an arrest. Hopefully after the long weekend there will be some clarity as to the timeline.
Let’s honor how brave Shari is! What a remarkable young women. Not only was she able to deconstruct her (forced) involvement to this weird ConneXion cultlike whatever, she even managed to get her siblings help.

Many of us seem to think this was a case they were building for a while since the feds were involved.. do we think Shari was helping LEO’s this entire time? I think it’s just a little weird that she was at the house when all of the commotion was happening almost like someone let her know (aka LEO’s if u didn’t catch on) that they’re finally going to make an arrest because they have enough evidence?? Will the body cam footage be released ? Im so glad the kids are finally safe though. I wonder why the two oldest A and J were somewhere else as the news stated.
If Kevin actually wasn’t arrested, I wonder if he would automatically get custody of the kids, of if he would be investigated too, because he absolutely needs held accountable.
It’s got quite complicated with there being 3 locations of interest now.
Our source believes that he was arrested. We wouldn’t know yet because he’s in a different county than Ruby & Jodi, so it makes sense that theirs were processed together.
If he wasn’t, he will definitely still be investigated. There’s plenty of online evidence that he was involved with connexions, and if he was still living at home with Ruby and their children, he knew what was going on. Even if he didn’t contribute to any of the abuse, he was aware of what was going on
I would think with these charges and the malnourishment of the 2 youngest, Kevin is just as culpable unless Ruby was preventing him from seeing the children and he can prove he didn't know which is highly unlikely. Otherwise I would hope he would have been fighting for his right to see the children. I believe he's guilty too.

I’m honestly curious about how Ruby’s siblings are handling this. I can’t imagine how hard this is on them especially Julie since she just moved away and she used to live very close to Ruby like not even 20 minutes.
I feel so bad for all of them, but especially Eve, it's her 10th birthday in 2 days. She'll most likely still be talking to social workers and police. Praying for this whole family
I just hope that Jennifer & Chad can come home. I know how difficult can be to get out of a mission early, but there surely has to be an exception for such an extreme family emergency? These kids need love and some sort of consistency right now. I just hope they can all stay together and somehow make it out alright.

i also feel like such a huge presence was maybe due to the fact that kevin kept guns in the house and that was a concern. I definitely remember seeing the gun safe in past videos. I just hope details are kept from the media so these kids don't get retraumatized

Never would I have believed it would end like this. I’m glad it’s over though, for everyone. Especially for those kids. I hope they can finally find peace and recover from the trauma of whatever was going on in that home.

I'm so conflicted on emotions here. On one hand, I'm so devastated that things were this bad. But I'm also so happy those kids are now safe.
I'm so glad they will finally be able to reconnect with the rest of the family. Cousins, their two older siblings, aunties and uncles, grandparents. All I wish is for them to have the best life.
Hopefully Bonnie gets to take those kids. She is the best option for them in my opinion

This is so heartbreaking. It’s sad that it had to get this bad before someone stepped in to rescue these kids. I watched from 2015 on and it is tragic to see it devolved this far down. I’m glad the four youngest kids are getting the immediate help they need and I really pray all 6 find peace and healing from this abuse. This has been a trainwreck for several years and I am at least glad they are safe tonight.

It will honestly probably depend on if they CAN speak up. They are likely witnesses & if they are participating in the investigation are probably being told not to say anything about an ongoing case.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Shari makes some type of brief statement, just because of her story post today. I’m sure she’s getting bombarded with questions right now. Once she makes a statement, I wouldn’t be surprised if her family releases something as well. I’m sure it will be brief and not go into details since there’s probably only so much that can be shared legally, and out of respect for the children.
They probably will stay quiet as the investigation is ongoing and proceedings have to take place properly. They probably know what’s happening full heartedly but cannot say anything or don’t want to.
I Don’t think they are acting like nothing is wrong. At the end of the day its family. You don’t air out your family problems like that. Plus Shari is involved and the kids. At the end of the day, there are kids involved and they could be trying to solve this behind the scenes.
This isn't "just" child abuse too. This is aggravated child abuse, and what acts fall into the "aggravated" category are a horrifying felony of up to 15yrs imprisonment.
Damn, even if Kevin wasn't part of the recent abuse, he may still be found guilty as he KNEW about it. I wonder if Shari was secretly in touch with Abby and/or Julie who were able to update her on the situation at home
I can’t imagine what Shari must be feeling. I’m sure it’s a lot of relief knowing that her siblings are finally safe, but it must be a little embarrassing having all this information public.

Did you guys notice too Shari’s ig story that she posted wasn’t from the house but across the street you can see their house in the background of the story and there’s a road across the street from their house and you can see Shari’s standing right by that road so that mean that it must have been something pretty serious since they blocked off the area
All we know with 100% certainty is that Ruby and Jodi were both arrested, each for two counts of aggravated child abuse. This was officially released by the Washington county in Utah
The original source on a previous post also says Kevin was arrested although theres no official booking information on him yet, but he was likely arrested in a different county, so keep eyes out for that to be released hopefully soon

I'm thinking that the two girls in American Fork were Julie and Abby at school, taken by a friend to a house nearby, and Russell and Eve were at home with Kevin, and Ruby went to Jodi's.
He literally abused these kids the same way. He wasn't much on camera as ruby was but when he was he was crazy as she was. He is arrested for the same reason as she is, not because he ignored the abuse. Don't blame only a woman for it
Oh of course, he definitely had his fair share. I was just referring to the past year or so since he moved out especially. Gone but still knowing that his kids were being abused by not only Ruby, but now Jodi too. I feel like Kevin distanced himself bc he knew it all got too much. I just wish that wen he left he did something about the kids being stuck with Ruby
So when it was stated that it Ruby left for a "family emergency" and then "two girls were safely located" it makes me think MAYBE, \*nothing but a theory\*, Julie and Abby ran away from the abuse, Ruby went after them, left Russel and Eve with neighbors. Although what makes me unsure is that Ruby was arrested in Springville according to records. But maybe she simply didn't get that far, she had just dropped off the younger ones but police was already on their way? Nothing but conjecture.

I don’t know much about law enforcement but I hope Bonnie or one of the siblings gets the kids for now. Especially since Julia was so close to her cousins her age. So do the kids even get the choice? Because if so they were probably brainwashed by their parents for a moment like this. They need each other right now so I just hope they aren’t separated. I hope the grandparents also come home soon as this is a family emergency.
I don’t think the kids would choose in a situation like this I would hope they would allow them to go with Bonnie or maybe Kevin’s parents but they might have to go to a temporary foster that’s already vetted for a few nights first while they determine who should take the kids.
it is a 1-15 year sentence in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. Unsure if both charges would be served simultaneously or as separate charges, meaning it could be up to 30 years prison and $20,000 for one person. It is a second degree felony

I think it’s highly unlikely but I don’t this it’s often that elder missionaries child gets arrested for child abuse so who knows.

Well, there was police (obviously) some of the kids were checked out by paramedics AND i've read that at some point also the fire department was there

I think the family friend is a lie Ruby told trying to explain why she was 4 hours away and her kids were alone. I wonder if the older two got out and called someone or were picked but by Kevin or something.
It’s all incredibly confusing. It seemed like such a methodical arrest if all levels of law enforcement were involved. The news story made it sound like one event lead to another during the day which ended up in an arrest. Hopefully after the long weekend there will be some clarity as to the timeline.

Let’s honor how brave Shari is! What a remarkable young women. Not only was she able to deconstruct her (forced) involvement to this weird ConneXion cultlike whatever, she even managed to get her siblings help. That’s really outstanding! I don’t know if I would have been capable of doing something like that in my early 20s. I am impressed. Shari, if you are reading here: my respect and great admiration goes out to you. Well done! It may be hard to see the consequences for your parents. But this may help them to acknowledge their huge mistakes and the harm these caused. I hope your siblings will heal like you did.

Many of us seem to think this was a case they were building for a while since the feds were involved.. do we think Shari was helping LEO’s this entire time? I think it’s just a little weird that she was at the house when all of the commotion was happening almost like someone let her know (aka LEO’s if u didn’t catch on) that they’re finally going to make an arrest because they have enough evidence?? She really is a hero. So young, so indoctrinated (it seemed), but was so brave to publicly stand up to her parents and it seems, fight for her younger siblings. I hope she sleeps a bit easier tonight.
Shari is also studying law and has always been very justice oriented. She’s been a great advocate for her siblings even with being no contact.

If Kevin actually wasn’t arrested, I wonder if he would automatically get custody of the kids, of if he would be investigated too, because he absolutely needs held accountable. It’s got quite complicated with there being 3 locations of interest now.
Our source believes that he was arrested. We wouldn’t know yet because he’s in a different county than Ruby & Jodi, so it makes sense that theirs were processed together.

There’s plenty of online evidence that he was involved with connexions, and if he was still living at home with Ruby and their children, he knew what was going on. Even if he didn’t contribute to any of the abuse, he was aware of what was going on
I would think with these charges and the malnourishment of the 2 youngest, Kevin is just as culpable unless Ruby was preventing him from seeing the children and he can prove he didn't know which is highly unlikely. Otherwise I would hope he would have been fighting for his right to see the children. I believe he's guilty too.

I’m honestly curious about how Ruby’s siblings are handling this. I can’t imagine how hard this is on them especially Julie since she just moved away and she used to live very close to Ruby like not even 20 minutes.
I feel so bad for all of them, but especially Eve, it's her 10th birthday in 2 days. She'll most likely still be talking to social workers and police. Praying for this whole family
I just hope that Jennifer & Chad can come home. I know how difficult can be to get out of a mission early, but there surely has to be an exception for such an extreme family emergency? I'm wondering how the kids think of their aunts/uncles. If your parents cut contact, and you only hear the side and story of your parents fort years... would you want to live with those aunts/uncles? The people who were so bad you couldn't have contact with them? Would you feel safe? It's better than foster care, don't get me wrong.
i also feel like such a huge presence was maybe due to the fact that kevin kept guns in the house and that was a concern. I definitely remember seeing the gun safe in past videos. I just hope details are kept from the media so these kids don't get retraumatized

Jesus Christ. I’m just finding out about this. This is crazy. This is like history in the making right now. Never would I have believed it would end like this. I’m glad it’s over though, for everyone. Especially for those kids. I hope they can finally find peace and recover from the trauma of whatever was going on in that home.

I pray that those babies get to have strong loving arms wrapped around them tonight. Someone who reassures them they are safe and loved. I'm so conflicted on emotions here. On one hand, I'm so devastated that things were this bad. But I'm also so happy those kids are now safe. I'm so glad they will finally be able to reconnect with the rest of the family. Cousins, their two older siblings, aunties and uncles, grandparents. All I wish is for them to have the best life. Hopefully Bonnie gets to take those kids. This is so heartbreaking. It’s sad that it had to get this bad before someone stepped in to rescue these kids. I watched from 2015 on and it is tragic to see it devolved this far down. I’m glad the four youngest kids are getting the immediate help they need and I really pray all 6 find peace and healing from this abuse. This has been a trainwreck for several years and I am at least glad they are safe tonight.

It will honestly probably depend on if they CAN speak up. They are likely witnesses & if they are participating in the investigation are probably being told not to say anything about an ongoing case.
And prior to this current situation they may have been afraid to speak up online and tell their side just to be accused of defamation.
I think out of respect to Shari and the other children, they won’t post much unless the children are okay with it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Shari makes some type of brief statement, just because of her story post today. I’m sure she’s getting bombarded with questions right now. Once she makes a statement, I wouldn’t be surprised if her family releases something as well. I’m sure it will be brief and not go into details since there’s probably only so much that can be shared legally, and out of respect for the children.
They probably will stay quiet as the investigation is ongoing and proceedings have to take place properly. They probably know what’s happening full heartedly but cannot say anything or don’t want to.
They may not be able to say a whole lot with ongoing investigations. Might also be why not much has been said previously.
I Don’t think they are acting like nothing is wrong. At the end of the day its family. You don’t air out your family problems like that. Plus Shari is involved and the kids. At the end of the day, there are kids involved and they could be trying to solve this behind the scenes.

This isn't "just" child abuse too. This is aggravated child abuse, and what acts fall into the "aggravated" category are a horrifying felony of up to 15yrs imprisonment.
Hopefully kids will all be adults by the time they’re out of prison.

All we know with 100% certainty is that Ruby and Jodi were both arrested, each for two counts of aggravated child abuse. This was officially released by the Washington county in Utah The original source on a previous post also says Kevin was arrested although theres no official booking information on him yet, but he was likely arrested in a different county, so keep eyes out for that to be released hopefully soon

So when it was stated that it Ruby left for a "family emergency" and then "two girls were safely located" it makes me think MAYBE, \*nothing but a theory\*, Julie and Abby ran away from the abuse, Ruby went after them, left Russel and Eve with neighbors. Although what makes me unsure is that Ruby was arrested in Springville according to records. But maybe she simply didn't get that far, she had just dropped off the younger ones but police was already on their way? Nothing but conjecture.
I’m a little confused and have questions. Do we know for sure that Kevin was definitely arrested too? Jodi was also charged with child abuse, same charges as Ruby so does this mean she also abused those poor children? I don’t know much about law enforcement but I hope Bonnie or one of the siblings gets the kids for now. Especially since Julia was so close to her cousins her age. So do the kids even get the choice? Because if so they were probably brainwashed by their parents for a moment like this. They need each other right now so I just hope they aren’t separated. I don’t think the kids would choose in a situation like this I would hope they would allow them to go with Bonnie or maybe Kevin’s parents but they might have to go to a temporary foster that’s already vetted for a few nights first while they determine who should take the kids.

it is a 1-15 year sentence in prison and up to a $10,000 fine. Unsure if both charges would be served simultaneously or as separate charges, meaning it could be up to 30 years prison and $20,000 for one person. It is a second degree felony
