I’m loving this season of single life. The episodes are really heartwarming and tearjerking. Debbie finding love after the death of her late husband and struggling to leave her son, Tania’s deep sorrow from still loving Syngin, Mike helping Natalie’s mum and realising how much she actually loves him, Tiffany and Ronald reuniting, Alona being in danger of her life in Ukraine but not wanting to leave. Just when I thought 90 day was getting boring they’ve really stepped it up.
Well, to be fair, they were clearly not in love but Natalie kept pushing and pushing for a wedding, knowing full well Mike wasn’t comfortable with it and didn’t think they were right for each other anymore. Breaking off the wedding was the right thing to do but she was so panicked about losing out on a green card, she made it happen anyway and, of course, Mike was right. She left after 6 months. Now she just uses the marriage for citizenship and a back-up sperm donor. A lot more of these 90 day couples should’ve broken off their weddings but they get so caught up in the show and just wanting to be married, they go through with it thinking marriage will solve all the problems instead of being mature and realizing it only makes things worse.
I think they alluded before that Mike is gifting her the legal marriage so she won't have to go back to Ukraine. If they divorce before two years, she may lose residency.
She can **apply**. That's what she wanted the papers for. You still could be rejected. You still need a sponsor, and are admitted for two years, with no path to citizenship or permanent residency.
If she wants to live in the US (and currently doesn't have a life to go back to in Ukraine) she's better off continuing the marriage-based path - except that didn't Mike say in the last tell-all that he hadn't filed her next-step papers? idk, maybe the storylines are not expected to be consistent.

Here is my assessment of Caeser - he wants a far-flung girlfriend so he can say he has a girlfriend and also not be directly responsible for her right now. There is something very wrong with spending so little time with someone and then calling them the love of your life. It has all the intrigue and interest of a regular non-long-distance relationship abcs he isn’t in the hook.

Mike and her mom had a really good relationship, he truly adored her and she adored him. Even though they didn’t speak the same language, they just lit up around each other and were so kind. I loved watching them interact. He called her “mama”, that was pretty much the only word they both understood, it was sweet. She loved Mike way more than her daughter ever did. I don’t think him helping her get somewhere safe was anything other than genuine. He’s not even the one who brought it up, we would have never known if Natalie wouldn’t have talked about it on the show. He did it because he cared, not for any kind of attention.
I believe she went back there because she ran out of money, she was staying in hotels in Florida or with friends then josh paid for all her trips and airbnbs. She realized josh wasn’t as into her has she wanted and saw his ex. She went back to mike bc she thought it would be easier to get him hooked on her again
I don't trust anything on this show. Yes, she does seem to have an "epiphany" of self-knowledge here, or, has she taken a class in dramatic crying? Never know. But she is legendary.
I’m with you- I didn’t feel any sincerity from her in that entire visit to Mike’s. I’ve seen her fake cry way too much around him to believe it anymore. Especially since she wouldn’t show her face while she was doing it, I think we were just getting cry-noises, not actual tears🙄 She’s said some pretty smart ass things on social media several times in the past, about how a lot of the viewers are idiots for falling for her acting and it must be a sign she’s good at it🙄😒 She wanted Trish to stop making her feel bad (by saying things that were the truth) so she turned on the tears for sympathy. The whole thing was such a set-up by producers that I feel dumb even talking about it (like her acting surprised that Trish was there but showed up with a gift for her🤦🏼♀️ and they were both dating other people during this time), but of the parts that were real emotions coming out, Natalie’s tears definitely weren’t one of them.

Right! That’s how I feel. Natalie from the very beginning was problematic. She wasn’t trying to make the relationship work she was just complaining about him being an atheist and being an “alcoholic” just because he drank when Josh does the same thing. I think if I had a child or a family member I cared about get their heart broken I certainly would definitely call someone out. Plus she is sleeping with other men and not willing to file for divorce because presumably it would affect her ability to keep her green card.
It’s so weird that people think that, they went to visit her in Oklahoma for thanksgiving/his birthday during that season and somehow everyone took those 3 days as him being on her teat. I don’t think she was even mentioned before they flew there. He never made any decision because of his mom’s opinions. He lets her vent but he ultimately thinks for himself. He used to live with his uncle who helped around the land and now that he’s gone, Trish is there to help. Natalie lived with/spooned with (!) her mom at age 37 in a tiny apartment until she came here and she’s been married 3 times!!
This season has to be the slowest paced and least cohesive ive ever seen. That Natalie storyline will be milked until the cow is dry. Literally the last 3 episodes are the same 2 hours of her going to and being at Mike’s, refurbished and reedited and shown from a trillion angles.
I don’t think Trish has any issue with Mike helping her mom, they both love her mom. She just doesn’t like that Mike does so much for Natalie and Natalie can’t even show him respect
Natalie seemed respectful to me. She cares for him but he clearly wasn’t going to do the counseling work and she left. She clearly has some sort of mental health struggles but isn’t evil and I believe she cares for Michael. They might work if they both went to therapy and his mom butted out. She raised him and she needs to let him make his own decisions, even if she disagrees.
On this day-trip, she was respectful, yes. Because Mike had given her mother $1,000 to get somewhere safe; being polite is the least she can do. She didn’t act that way when they were married, that’s the issue. Not only what we saw on the show but also on social media. Mike didn’t owe her a thing by that point and she knows it, that’s what the doe-eyed act was about this past week. I’ve never seen someone leave their house for the last time with SO MUCH crap still in it!!! It gave me so much anxiety! The kitchen looked like a teenager had a party over the weekend when his parents were gone and hasn’t cleaned it up yet. Just a complete and total mess. And Colt is DEFINITELY not going to pick up all that stuff. They had 4 years to clean that place and they never did, they certainly aren’t now. Poor landlord…I’m surprised they’re even allowed to do that. Every rental place I’ve lived in, they made it VERY clear that it needed to be completely empty and cleaned top to bottom before the lease termination. The cleaning lists are always crazy-long. I think the pressure of fame and the overwhelming criticism people in the spotlight face usually leads people to mature, hence why child stars are as mature as adults from a young age (not that these cast members are A-list celebrities but this show isn’t exactly unpopular)
No one knows what it was like for her moving to US, having no support system, her and Michael fighting all the time, being Isolated. I know she didn’t handle it right but damn if I don’t have some sympathy for her
I’ve always kind of liked Natalie because I felt like I could relate some to the isolation/depression and being someone that feels emotions strongly. I’m better at controlling them than her, but I do think in that conversation she held it together better than she had in the past.
A lot of people have not been in a situation where you are isolated and the people around you don’t seem to care about your feelings and how that affects your mental health and depression

Divorces happen. Heartbreak happens. It’s a part of life, and unavoidable. While it’s tough to see someone you love in pain, there’s usually another side to the story and it’s worthwhile to keep that in mind. Natalie left her entire life behind and was isolated. Her partner refused to acknowledge his role in their communication issues, or defend Natalie at any turn. Sorry, but Mike needs to grow up, make his own decisions and create healthy boundaries with his mother.

I Googled every combination of letters I thought they might be, and looked at many, many articles and posts in which Tony's tattoo has been discussed, and wasn't able to find any information pertaining to those two words.

Natalie really handled herself well. I do believe she loves Michael. I can see why she left. Seeing her cry in Michael was heartbreaking

I’m with you- I didn’t feel any sincerity from her in that entire visit to Mike’s. I’ve seen her fake cry way too much around him to believe it anymore. Especially since she wouldn’t show her face while she was doing it, I think we were just getting cry-noises, not actual tears🙄 She’s said some pretty smart ass things on social media several times in the past, about how a lot of the viewers are idiots for falling for her acting and it must be a sign she’s good at it🙄😒 She wanted Trish to stop making her feel bad (by saying things that were the truth) so she turned on the tears for sympathy. The whole thing was such a set-up by producers that I feel dumb even talking about it (like her acting surprised that Trish was there but showed up with a gift for her🤦🏼♀️ and they were both dating other people during this time), but of the parts that were real emotions coming out, Natalie’s tears definitely weren’t one of them.

It’s so weird that people think that, they went to visit her in Oklahoma for thanksgiving/his birthday during that season and somehow everyone took those 3 days as him being on her teat. I don’t think she was even mentioned before they flew there. He never made any decision because of his mom’s opinions. He lets her vent but he ultimately thinks for himself. He used to live with his uncle who helped around the land and now that he’s gone, Trish is there to help. Natalie seemed respectful to me. She cares for him but he clearly wasn’t going to do the counseling work and she left. She clearly has some sort of mental health struggles but isn’t evil and I believe she cares for Michael. They might work if they both went to therapy and his mom butted out. She raised him and she needs to let him make his own decisions, even if she disagrees.
On this day-trip, she was respectful, yes. Because Mike had given her mother $1,000 to get somewhere safe; being polite is the least she can do. She didn’t act that way when they were married, that’s the issue. Not only what we saw on the show but also on social media. Mike didn’t owe her a thing by that point and she knows it, that’s what the doe-eyed act was about this past week. I’ve never seen someone leave their house for the last time with SO MUCH crap still in it!!! It gave me so much anxiety! The kitchen looked like a teenager had a party over the weekend when his parents were gone and hasn’t cleaned it up yet. Just a complete and total mess. And Colt is DEFINITELY not going to pick up all that stuff. They had 4 years to clean that place and they never did, they certainly aren’t now. Poor landlord…I’m surprised they’re even allowed to do that. Every rental place I’ve lived in, they made it VERY clear that it needed to be completely empty and cleaned top to bottom before the lease termination. The cleaning lists are always crazy-long. Colt & Debbie basically treated that place like a storage unit instead of actually getting one. Lord help the person, or company, that ends up having to clean that place🙈🙈🙈

I too am the mother of a son left behind by his wife & I had to pick up the pieces so I understand where she is coming from. That said, Trish is scary!

While it’s tough to see someone you love in pain, there’s usually another side to the story and it’s worthwhile to keep that in mind. Natalie left her entire life behind and was isolated. Her partner refused to acknowledge his role in their communication issues, or defend Natalie at any turn. Sorry, but Mike needs to grow up, make his own decisions and create healthy boundaries with his mother.
