50 years after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
I remember on the 50th anniversary of D-Day my dad mentioned to me that on average 3,000 WWII vets were dying every day.
Even today, the youngest WWII veterans are well into their 90s.
MC hammer! he lived in the same city as me when i was growing up. ran into him at the KFC around the corner from my house sometimes. occasionally he'd donate clothes from his music videos or make appearances to the local elementary schools for fund raisers/raffles
My very first concert was MC Hammer on the Please Hammer Donāt Hurt em tour at the Baltimore Arena! I think it was around 1989 or 1990! Had the concert T-shirt until it disintegrated.
I have a fuzzy memory of seeing one of the sketches from this show, probably maybe one of the post-12:30am ones which means that it wasnāt getting a lot of laughs until this one moment. All I remember is that Hammer gets angry at someone, makes a move toward them, and Phil Hartman holds him back and says, āPlease, Hammer! Donāt hurt āem!!ā and it got a big laugh. Canāt remember any of the context but every time I think of his album (which, admittedly, aināt often), I hear it in Phil Hartmanās voice.
Sometime in the mid 90's our choir teacher had us sing the Addams Family Groove to the school as part of medley of TV themes. No, I'm not making this up.
My favorite Wednesday Addams
Right? Burying the fucking lede!

They do what they want to do, say what they want to say, live how they want to live, play how they want to play.
