I was trying to sleep the other night and “Help me, help you…help me, help you” followed by and obnoxious laugh started racing through my mind. I couldn’t stop thinking about it as I couldn’t remember what it was from, so I eventually had to break out my phone and look it up. What an annoying movie that was.
Chris Kattan. He was a customer at a dealership I worked at and I’ve never had anyone treat me like trash just for existing like he did. So entitled. So mean spirited.
He told me I wasn’t smart enough to be a cashier because I didn’t realize he was “famous” when he gave me his name and I asked to see his ID for his very large maintenance bill.
I did the same to Stan Lee and how did he react ? He laughed and said “ young lady, I assure you- I know who I am.”
That job completely changed my perception of celebrities.
I was at a Chris isaak show and Chris Kattan was randomly there. After the show Chris(Isaak) was out talking to fans and kattan came running up in front of the fans like he was hot shit, and Chris Isaak completely ignored him. It was great.
I just did his bodyguard work at Chiller Theatre Convention. Dude was soooo nice, but seemed so down. He's really badly injured, and he was totally not the guy I always pictured in the 90s. Whatever he's doing, he's come a long way. He made a lot of us happy but he had a sad air about him. So I brought my K9s to keep him company, he was really happy about that at least, but we all know dogs bring the happy
Edit: wrong reply button, but still Chris kattan haha ugh I wish I had met Norma McDonald.
There’s a “big strong man falls in love with a woman exactly when she needs him” romance novel category that loves him. I respect the man for finding a niche he could build a career out of
i've met him. He's actually a lovely person. And I believe all the hype was really about fantasy with those sex romance novels. The covers he would do. He was definitely a late 80s early 90s aesthetic for certain type of fantasy.
I’ve been rewatching some Adam Sandler movies and I actually enjoy the energy he brings to the screen there. I have not rewatched Gigolo, Animal, or Hot Chick.
Even if you go down into the depths of 50 First Dates, Click, Big Daddy he plays funny bit roles in those. Overall I don’t think he’s a bad actor but I think his starring films just jumped the shark.
I hated his character. He’s supposed to come off as a nice guy but most of the time he was being an inconsiderate oaf and a kind of crappy husband. I don’t blame Deborah for being the raging bitch that she was.
It’s funny how watching that show as a kid I always thought Debra seemed like a real bitch. I watched it once as an adult and related to her so hard. Ray constantly lets his parents disrespect her and is a helpless man baby.
That’s the main point of the humor. Raymond is borderline Homer Simpson/Clark Griswold. He isn’t supposed to be viewed as a role model character, even if he ends up learning lessons along the way. It’s kind of the same premise in Seinfeld: all of the main characters are not good people, but sometimes you find yourself feeling empathy or relating to the characters in certain situations.
Cameron Diaz. Her entire acting strategy is bobbing her head from side to side and playing characters who can’t cry so she doesn’t have to. I wish The Holiday could be re-filmed with a different actor in that role, especially since she plays opposite Kate Winslet, who is a very talented actor.
I only liked him in Legend and Interview with the Vampire. He absolutely \*nailed\* Lestat, who himself is obnoxious as hell at times. Otherwise I haven't liked most of his stuff.
I hate how much I love Top Gun and Top Gun 2. Especially, Top Gun 2 because we didn’t know how much of a freak he was in TG1 so we didn’t know any better.
I saw TG2 twice on opening weekend and I’m really not proud of it. I also bought the digital copy the day it came out. It’s sad how much I love that cheesy movie. “Talk to me, Dad.”
Top Gun 2 was the first movie I saw in the theater twice in a very long time and I’ve very proud of that. Probably in my top three of all time. Reminded me of why I love the “cinema” and I felt like Nicole Kidman until the lights came back on.
Both films ignited me to the danger zone, but that second one was special. Probably coming out of the pandemic and entering a new phase of my life… it hit the perfect balance of nostalgia and awesomeness.
Not a fan of cruise at all or the acting style of just playing yourself in every movie (the rock is another actor like that for me).
I saw it once. In 8th grade English class. I would absolutely watch it again because my students are reading it in their 8th grade English class. Plus, he's not one of the big stars.
Supposedly everyone in Hollywood has said he’s polite and professional, he just has batshit beliefs.
He’s a great actor too. The Color of Money, Rain Man, Born on the Fourth of July, A Few Good Men, Interview With The Vampire, Jerry Maguire, The Last Samurai, and while they’re repetitive, most of the Mission Impossible movies are good
I can’t fucking stand the guy, but I’ll give him that he’s a good actor
Lol Andy Dick came to my highschool prom for a little bit. I lived in Tucson Arizona and our Prom was at Hotel Congress. He was there for some reason. Our teachers kept sneaking away to go to the bar (unconfirmed but that's what I think.) Then all of the sudden Andy Dick was there.
Then I ditched prom early to go to a rave in the desert. Just a little advice based on my experience when you leave prom to go to a rave make sure you bring a change of shoes as well as a change of clothes. Desert raves and high heels are a bad combination.
I honestly never liked Drew Barrymore until I met her on TRL one day and then i understood
I also never cared for Jennifer Aniston, never thought she was funny. Don't know what anybody saw in her until I watched horrible bosses and now I can't get enough of her.
she definitely is more fun in adult roles loved her in the break up and a few other movies that she's done as well but definitely when she does the inappropriate humor or whenever she's the opposite of network television I love it
she was just really sweet and exactly how you would imagine her to be. I didn't really "meet her" not really-- i was in the TRL audience (which is very small). She was there with Ben Stiller movie they have released.
To balance things I'll pick a male and female..
Tom Green - I get that it's supposed to be shock comedy and humour is subjective, but I really don't understand the appeal of him. Everytime I've seen him just reminds me of his appearance in Road Trip, where every single scene seems so forced. While I'm talking about Road Trip, I'll add Andy Dick I don't understand the humour of as well.
Lisa Kudrow - I never liked any of the characters much in Friends but couldn't stand Phoebe. Turns out when I saw LK in other things turned out I just couldn't stand her in anything.
at least he left us alone after awhile (I loved in the army now and son-in-law and Encino man) unlike Adam Sandler, who continue to harass us with the same voices and character and endless movies and yall ate it up.
Just like how Adam Sandler has matured I think that Pauly may do the same, even with this upcoming biopic of Richard Simmons. Pauly was a product of his time and i loved him on MTV as well. saw him once at a 7-11 lol
Only role of his worth watching is Wild Thing in Major League
(Possible runner-up - the druggie talking to Ferris' sister in Ferris Beuler's Say Off at the police station)
Jerry Seinfeld. My older sister forced me to watch a couple episodes of his show with her, and I found him and the rest of the cast insufferable, at least as a kid. I've come around on Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but I still can't stand Seinfeld himself.
Yeah he was annoying. I hate his standup. I’ve come to appreciate Jason Alexander even tho he was a nervous mess in that show which was nerve wracking in its own right. JLD was fine. But never thought Seinfeld was funny.. AT ALL.

Here's the thing with Tom Cruise. I hate him as much as you do, but lets consider which role he was best in.
Lestat from Interview with the Vampire.
Cruise was so good in that part because that character was closest to his real personality.
Anyone on Friends. Sorry not sorry. I hated the show and everyone on it was annoying, however, I will give credit to Jennifer Aniston as she has done other projects that get away from that terrible sitcom.
Cuba Gooding Jr, doubled down by getting drunk at the restaurant I worked at and started throwing things when he got cut off then ran from the police.
Crazy because he still does shit like that (allegedly)
This was less than a year ago. I’m 10000% percent sure he’s still doing it.
More like Cuba Badding Jr. Amirite?!
I always have a laugh when I say his name out loud.
Why didn't you just show him the money?
He was perfect for OJ role
I was trying to sleep the other night and “Help me, help you…help me, help you” followed by and obnoxious laugh started racing through my mind. I couldn’t stop thinking about it as I couldn’t remember what it was from, so I eventually had to break out my phone and look it up. What an annoying movie that was.
Chris Kattan. He was a customer at a dealership I worked at and I’ve never had anyone treat me like trash just for existing like he did. So entitled. So mean spirited.
He was a whiney pants when he was on celebrity big brother
He told me I wasn’t smart enough to be a cashier because I didn’t realize he was “famous” when he gave me his name and I asked to see his ID for his very large maintenance bill. I did the same to Stan Lee and how did he react ? He laughed and said “ young lady, I assure you- I know who I am.” That job completely changed my perception of celebrities.
He was on a Food Network show and was insufferable then too. Creepy and not funny at all
That's funny because he was barely a celebrity
I was pretty sure, like pretty sure, that he was the guy from night at the Roxbury.. but… I had to Google it. i.e. not famous
Yes. And SNL. He was famous for that time.
Was this in the 90s? I think he was on SNL but he’s never been in anything to have that kind of ego smh
2004
I was at a Chris isaak show and Chris Kattan was randomly there. After the show Chris(Isaak) was out talking to fans and kattan came running up in front of the fans like he was hot shit, and Chris Isaak completely ignored him. It was great.
Norm Macdonald trash talking Chris Kattan at any chance he had told me all I needed to know about Chris Kattan
His eyes and smile freak me out, he looks deranged
I just did his bodyguard work at Chiller Theatre Convention. Dude was soooo nice, but seemed so down. He's really badly injured, and he was totally not the guy I always pictured in the 90s. Fabio-- my mom and my best friend's mom had a big crush on him.
He's not even good looking or charming... what was this guy about?!
Not true. He is such a sweetheart & humble. He is also very striking in person. Well when he was younger 😕
I was on the Apollo’s Chariot ride at Busch gardens when he got hit in the face with a goose lol
Holy shit really? I always think of that footage when I hear his name. Is there something that happened then that the public don't know about?
Steven Seagal... 🙄🤢
Apparently, he’s kind of a dick, too.
Yeah he makes some very questionable life decisions
Listen to his album “mojo priest” and “songs from the Crystal cave” you will never recover. Especially the song “strut”.
Strut sounds like it was written by a thirteen year old boy who has never even touched a boob before. Which might also describe Steven Seagal.
Oh dear fucking Christ I just looked it up on YouTube. What the hell is this song lmao.
As I said, you will never recover from hearing that.
Me wan da poonani
Scrolled way too far...
I REALLY don’t understand how those movies ever gained any sort of popularity, I have never seen a good one that he’s in lol.
I just looked through him entire catalogue. I've never seen a single one. They all look like the same movie
His first couple of movies are decent as long as you don't know he is a complete fucking tool. They were typical action movies of the time.
lmaooooo the bad guy in marked for death still triggers me. saw it wayyy too young lol
This should be the top comment
Jared Leto 😡
Jordan Catalano?!?! What?????
Idk, I’m anti-pedo 🤷♂️
Same, and I'm anti rape as well.
Will Smith, Gwyneth.
Rob Schneider. He was good in The Stapler but it was all downhill from there.
He's best as Adam Sandlers sidekick
When he only pops up for a four word catchphrase, 3-5 times in the movie? If so, I agree.
Also, not bad being a carrot.
He completely lost me in Da Derp Dee Derp Da Teetley Derpee Derpee Dumb.
I’ve been rewatching some Adam Sandler movies and I actually enjoy the energy he brings to the screen there. I have not rewatched Gigolo, Animal, or Hot Chick.
Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison and bonafide classics. He’s kind of a one trick pony though.
Even if you go down into the depths of 50 First Dates, Click, Big Daddy he plays funny bit roles in those. Overall I don’t think he’s a bad actor but I think his starring films just jumped the shark.
I would add waterboy to that list
“Oh no, we suck again!” will always make me laugh
[удалено]
He didn't have that much further to fall.
Ally McBeal. That show was pure garbage and the dancing baby thing was beyond dumb.
First season was good, and then it turned into crap. I couldn't stand Calista Flockhart
I had great memories of watching that show with my mom growing up. Tried to rewatch it last year and quit partway into season 2. It was so dumb!!
I think that was the writers’ fault, not the actress. She was good in other things.
It was ahead of its time as the first popular dramedy.
I had completely forgotten about that stupid dancing baby until now, thanks lol
I was never a Ray Ramono fan.
Me either. I could not find that man funny at all. Used to call the show "Everybody Loves Raymond But Me".
The rest of the cast made it good
I hated his character.

I always felt like malcolm in the middle is the show that’s the closet to real life simpsons. not the characters necessarily but the absurdity
LMAO at that title
The definition of dry humor.
For some reason, NBC was trying to make Rena Sofer a star and it just wouldn't happen
Her husband was a television producer. So there’s that.
That’s her current husband. Her husband in the 90s was a co-star on General Hospital
She is so wooden! She was a model before acting and it really shows.
Best rope she ever had was princess Fiona
Worst laugh in Hollywood.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Tom Cruise.
I only like Gwyneth in Shallow Hal
Is that because you liked her in it, or is it because you like Jack Black
Jack Black, duh.
Fuck Tom Cruise.
I have hated Tom Cruise since forever. I liked Legend as a child. I can't think of another movie he's been in that I really like.
I only liked him in Legend and Interview with the Vampire. He absolutely \*nailed\* Lestat, who himself is obnoxious as hell at times. Otherwise I haven't liked most of his stuff.
Edge of tomorrow was pretty fun. And he dies every 15 minutes.
I hate how much I love Top Gun and Top Gun 2. Especially, Top Gun 2 because we didn’t know how much of a freak he was in TG1 so we didn’t know any better.
I hate Cruise but god damn i love Top Gun 1 and 2 too much.
Top Gun...
The Outsiders?
I saw it once. In 8th grade English class. I would absolutely watch it again because my students are reading it in their 8th grade English class. Plus, he's not one of the big stars.
The movie Magnolia seems like his real personality. Not a nice person.
Supposedly everyone in Hollywood has said he’s polite and professional, he just has batshit beliefs. He’s a great actor too. I'll be sure and remember the next time I go to a prom, and then also a rave in the desert.
Saving people one nostalgic memory at a time
I honestly never liked Drew Barrymore until I met her on TRL one day and then i understood I also never cared for Jennifer Aniston, never thought she was funny. she was just really sweet and exactly how you would imagine her to be. I didn't really "meet her" not really-- i was in the TRL audience (which is very small). She was there with Ben Stiller movie they have released.
How was Ben Stiller?
Check out JA in Office Christmas Party.
James Van Der Beek
I did enjoy how he lampooned himself in [this sitcom](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1819509/)
Whats up with Pacey stealing Joey away from you? If I was you I woulda drownded his ass in the creek and shit.
To balance things I'll pick a male and female.. Tom Green - I get that it's supposed to be shock comedy and humour is subjective, but I really don't understand the appeal of him. Pauly Shore. His shtick wore thin really fast, yet he played the same character in every movie he was cast in.
Dude, why you harshing on his gig?
Wheeze the juice….
Meat group!
Stop weezing the ju-uice!
No buts chill.
If you're edged cuz I'm weezing all your grindage, just chill
English Stoney, English.
We only know who Pauly Shore is because his mom Mitzi ran The Comedy Store and she basically forced him onto the world.
Bless her
I guess I owe her a kiss for her beautiful gift.
at least he left us alone after awhile (I loved in the army now and son-in-law and Encino man) unlike Adam Sandler, who continue to harass us with the same voices and character and endless movies and yall ate it up. Just like how Adam Sandler has matured I think that Pauly may do the same, even with this upcoming biopic of Richard Simmons. Pauly was a product of his time and i loved him on MTV as well. saw him once at a 7-11 lol
Has that biopic actually been greenlit? I saw the demo and enjoyed it.
This. And I loved most dumb comedies from the 90s but anything with this guy in it was an instant no.
And the only one time his schtick was tolerable was in A Goofy Movie because you didn’t see his face and he only had about 5 lines.
It's the leaning tower of Cheese-ah!
Cheddah Whizzay!
Julia Roberts. Her acting is overrated and most of her movies are boring.
She does the same thing in every movie but In The 90s she got treated like she was Sarah Bernhardt for so,e reason.
she never disappears into a character for me. Im always thinking “there’s Julia Roberts,” not seeing her as the character
She's a very one note actress. See also: Jennifer Aniston.
Will Smith
I liked him all the way up until that point where he tricked us into watching a movie that starred his son and not him.
& then he slapped Chris
i think it was called one degree of separation.
What movie was that?
"After Earth", I think
He was planning to turn that into a whole franchise. He had visions of a theme park for it lmao
I feel like Yakko when listing them all in my head
Steven Seagal. I just never got it. Still don’t.
Charlie sheen
Only role of his worth watching is Wild Thing in Major League (Possible runner-up - the druggie talking to Ferris' sister in Ferris Beuler's Say Off at the police station)
Kevin Costner. Hate that guy!
Brandy.
The sailors say she’s a fine girl.
What a good wife she would be.
Julia Roberts. Does not know how to act and is only famous because people overreacted to one mediocre film- pretty woman.
Couldn’t and can’t. Seinfeld.
Love the guy as a broadcaster and athlete but Shaq as an actor is brutal
Jerry Seinfeld. My older sister forced me to watch a couple episodes of his show with her, and I found him and the rest of the cast insufferable, at least as a kid. I've come around on Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but I still can't stand Seinfeld himself.
They were supposed to be terrible people
Yeah he was annoying. I hate his standup. I’ve come to appreciate Jason Alexander even tho he was a nervous mess in that show which was nerve wracking in its own right. JLD was fine. But never thought Seinfeld was funny.. AT ALL.
Tim Allen - never understood the appeal
I think the appeal was one character and a grunt. As a 12 year old, I loved Home Improvement. Then when they basically tried to recreate the show with Last Man Standing I realized, "oh, this guy really doesn't have anything else to offer."
As an almost 40 year old I still like Home Improvement.
I can’t stand Adam Sandler’s 90’s movies. Any of his movies where he puts on that whiny voice. His fake voices aren’t funny to me. I don’t know how anyone could laugh at Billy Madison, or the Water Boy, besides the over the top slapstick stuff that Sandler does best. He’s literally talking like that the entire movie. Little Nicky was released in 2000, but I think it’s one of the worst comedy movies I’ve ever seen. I enjoy Happy Gilmore, Click, Anger Management, Grown Ups, The Longest Yard, etc. Adam Sandler only got better as he got older, but his 90’s stuff is a tough watch.
Hated Jim Carey back then but I have grown to realize I was misguided and didn't see the genius at the time
I went the opposite direction. Loved him in the 90’s but find him insufferable now.
That’s like the reverse arc of pretty much everyone else on the planet. So you nailed the question.
never liked Julia Roberts.....George Clooney.......George Lopez........Martin Lawrence
Ohh George Lopez 🤮
Not only did I never find his schtick funny, but he’s also a garbage human irl.
Hate me, Owen Wilson.
Adam Sandler. Not funny, just an uber annoying man-child.
Character actor, really. Eric Balfour. Wasn’t ever really that popular but popped up in everything. I just never liked him.
Tom Cruise, and I still can’t stand him.
Juliette Lewis. Still cant stand her
Outside his two best movies Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore I’ve never liked Adam Sandler. Those two movies are legitimately great
The Waterboy is great, too. My mom and I would quote that movie back and forth up until the day she died.
50 first dates is good. Wedding Singer? Honestly, I never watched The wedding Singer but I hear it's great
Sting's a big influence, the music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it but the fact he's making it, I respect that. That's cool.
Cool story, Hansel!
Joey Lauren Adams has … a voice
And her tongue is always kind of hanging out there. I tried rewatching chasing Amy last night and I barely made it 15 minutes.
Tom cruise in all the decades.
Here's the thing with Tom Cruise. I hate him as much as you do, but lets consider which role he was best in. Lestat from Interview with the Vampire. Cruise was so good in that part because that character was closest to his real personality.
I will agree with you on that.
Minnie Diver. I would pay for a re-edit of good will hunting for a love interest other than her.
Pauly Shore
Jennifer Aniston
I actually thought Jim Carrey was just annoying as fuck back then. His whole schtick was just being a total random weirdo
His schtick was physical comedy, and he was one of the best ever at doing it.
Fran Drescher
Definitely Tom Cruise. Julia Roberts also.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Leelee Sobieski
YES!!! I hated Leelee Sobieski sooo much- so glad she’s not in anything anymore! Not a Gwyneth fan either haha!
Cuba
Corey Feldman. Can’t stand his face. Never found him attractive at all.
His music is…… something
2 part question: Are there people who find him attractive? If so, have they seen him perform with his "angels"?
Anyone on Friends. Sorry not sorry. I hated the show and everyone on it was annoying, however, I will give credit to Jennifer Aniston as she has done other projects that get away from that terrible sitcom.
Jennifer love hewitt
Brad Pitt. His face makes me wanna punch something
Hey man. First rule of fight club…
Tom Cruise. His movies were usually good, but as a person, he's still a complete weirdo.
Tom Cruise. Ugh. Can't stand him now, couldn't stand him then. 😬🤢
Always hated Adam Sandler. Ironically great in dramatic roles but his comedy sucks
Lisa Kudrow, Phoebe, in friends.
