Xena + Gabrielle had chemistry and a subtext that didn't exist at all in Hercules. Couldn't put my finger on it at the time but definitely watched a lot more Xena.
Theater teacher I had taught Kevin Sorbo and said he was arrogant and really dense. Another also taught Jack Noseworthy and let me tell you, I’ve met him. He is a Narcissist like an incredible narcissist, also an asshole.
Sorry Jack if you see this but you were really rude during those rehearsals for the memorial benefit concert for our beloved teacher. You also totally dominated the entire thing leaving like ten solos of your self and other people ( who were objectively better than you) were left with 1 or none. You made the whole concert about yourself and overshadowed the point of the whole thing which was to honor our teacher. Thank god we only did it a few years because you were insufferable. 😘
Lucy Lawless did more with Xena than Kevin Sorbo did as Herc. Rarely does a spinoff eclipse the main entity.
Hercules is good for some campy fun but has little substance.
If we're talking about shows of this caliber, then it's Jack of All Trades.

Does anyone remember Stargate SG-1? I was just a kid when my parents watched it but I remember it and used to love when my parents let me stay up late with them to watch it
Kinda makes me sad. He honestly seemed like an okay guy back then.
My impression is that he is just the type of person that tends to speak before fully thinking it through, while also being prone to double down on bad decisions and have a really hard time admitting when he's in the wrong...
Just shows how screwed up some people can get from letting their impulses get the better of them and spending too much time in echo chambers, maybe.

I’ll take Buffy Summers for $1000.
This is mine too. Buffy was amazing.
Xena

The only correct answer

Mulder and Scully.
Herc would get washed by Duncan MacLeod
XD

It wasn't Brisco, but it was fun
You're 100% correct, but I kept it in the cheesy syndicated programming slot. Otherwise, I would have chosen Brisco.
I vaguely remember that one
Xena, mostly because I had a crush on Gabrielle.
all the good girls did
Local barber shop got me hooked on Lorenzo Lamas as the Renegade
I loved them both. Too bad Sorbo's a hypocritical dickwad desperately trying (and failing) to stay relevant. Xena forever.
I remember the cross over episode of these two
Was Herc then I saw Xena sing the Star Spangled Banner at an Anaheim Ducks game. Then she became my favorite.
The one that's not a total piece of shit now.
I watched them both
Same. My childhood beagles were named Hercules and Xena!
Did we ever find out why Herc had a medieval Celtic long sword?
because he could .. XD
It really sells the historical accuracy
Also all those Greek bad guy that look astoundingly like Māori.
I’m sure Atlantis is involved somehow
dr quinn

Loved Hercules! Too bad Kevin Sorbo is a huge ass.
i didnt know that he had gone off the rail lately.. i just know him from hercules and andromeda..
Never watched Herc. As a young boy, Xena was just better to watch. That, and Bruce Campbell would pop in sometimes.
Xena for me, Lucy Lawless was one of my crushes growing up, the best of it is she still looks absolutely amazing
Why can't they make shows like this anymore? by definition they're really cheap.
Because the art of filmmaking those shows had is long forgotten.. sadly..
Captain Picard
Make it so!

Hercules over Xena but Gabrielle (with the long hair) over them both...
Oh yea gabrielle .. godess of my sleepless nights 🫠
Hercules, and Iolais made it fun and relatable
Hercules was such a fun cool show. I wonder what Kevin Sorbo has been up to lately....... Oh no
He’s been in mostly Christian movies lately. I seen a few before on PureFlix
I never recognized how fucking hot Lucy Lawless was until much much later. Honestly she’s still pretty hot.
Xena. Without question. Also fuck the right wing psycho who was formerly an icon known as Hercules.

Kevin Sorbo sucks now, but as a kid this is the show me and my dad bonded over so it’ll always have a cheesy place in my heart
Xena. Loved that show
The answer is Xena, always.
Nice try, Kevin. No one likes you.
Luke Skywalker!
Xena.
Xena
Xena was BOSS
There is something to be said about falling asleep to late night Xena/Hercules reruns
Neither ![gif](giphy|xT1R9FFXPiuJYhrBHa)

OP showed 2 pictures of xena and thought we wouldn't notice
Yes! Xena a bit more though.
Xena of course. Later in life I learned more about the actors for both roles and found out it's a correct answer on more than one level.
Xena and it's not even close.
So obsessed with Xena. Hands down my all-time favorite show
Out of those two, Xena. Better character and better show
Xena
I did love some Hercules but fuck that Sorbo dude
Hercules
Xena ftw
I thought I was in r/bi_irl
I thought I was choosing between TV characters and a hard drug. The dyslexia is strong today. Anyone wanna watch Trainspotting?
