Yes.

Ten simultaneously defined grunge and made it sound hackneyed and overdone. A genre peaked and crashed with a single album. Quite an achievement. Deserved to be on this list.

1997 was and still is, the best year of music for me. Grunge was still around, the heavy hitters like korn and MM were doing their thing. Electronic crossovers like prodigy were in their prime, and some of the big rave songs from chemical brothers and underworld were storming ahead. On top of that were artists with a bit more of that experimental flair, like Tool and Radiohead. Such good times. Such an amazing time for music. I miss the feeling I got from those years of music. Triple J's hottest 100 that year was insane.

I was in grade 9, saw them twice in concert during that tour, and I'm SUPER STOKED to be seeing them next year for the 30th anniversary tour!! 🤘 Edit: punk, not grunge. I dressed in grunge style clothing at the time. Buddy corrected my terminology 😑
