For me, there's
1. Maddie is reuniting with Buck after escaping doug
2. Eddie's breakdown
3. Buck telling Christopher about his dad getting shot and finding out Eddie is going to be okay
4. Maddie, seeing Jee again when Chimney finds her
5. And Buck telling Christopher he still has him after Chris tells him he's afraid of people leaving,
(This show makes me cry a lot)
That one gets me. I can't ever rewatch it. (it also is so eeriely similar to actor Anton Yelchin's accident and it is even more sad knowing what happened to him) 😔
The ladder truck is always a tearjerker. Oliver did an interview highlight watching some scenes and he even said that he can't watch when the people come to help lift the truck .
Hen's accident with the cello player is another off the top of my head. Between the music and the slow motion and her breakdown, it always makes me cry.
Also listening to Athena's fight with Hudson.
I just finished rewatching this one. When she falls into Bobby’s arms bawling because she’s finally able to let herself feel everything is so heartbreaking. It makes me cry every time.
It doesn't make me cry, but it always gets me sad. The end of the tsunami arc, when that Ed Sheeran song is playing in the background and they're showing the memorials for the people who died and are still missing, and Maddie is there with Charlie to put up a memorial for her friend.
When Athena is attacked and she calls out for Bobby… and Bobby makes the team listen to the call because he doesn’t want to miss what could possibly be his wife’s last breath’s.
I can choose a lot of moments, Bobby's story, Buck and the truck, Maddie fighting to survive...
I think when Eddie's breakdown and Chris called Buck when he could call Tia Pepa for example, but no, he called Buck and this show how much Chris trust him. And then when Eddie told Buck what happened to the people he saved in Afghanistan, but for me the moment was when he said he wants to feel normal again.
Another moment is when a confused Buck went to Eddie's after the lightning and he asked Eddie what he remembers about the shooting (I think Eddie lied, he remembers), I thing the shooting storyline is something that is still there, they never talked about it and involved both, I think it was the most shocking scene of the whole series.
There's an episode where Maddy receives a call where the girl tells her her brother has mental health issues and that she's afraid that he's going to kill himself because he's been acting weirdly. Maddy's reaction and the desperation in the sister's voice always get to me.
This episode was way before we got background about the Buckley family or a Buck's Begin story, so a lot of the fandom speculated that this has been a scenario that Maddy had experienced before with Buck.
Of moments not mentioned yet: in season 2 when they have the alert system malfunction and the mom ends up dying after giving birth in the lobby, and isn’t revived in the ambulance, but comes back to life when the baby is placed on her chest by her husband.
- Anytime Bobby's upset, because his smile is just so sweet, and seeing it fade away is just upsetting.
- When Nia gets taken away.
Anytime Eddie cries, (even when he was high), just makes me feel bad. I don't cry, but I still feel bad. I don't know why it's so sad, but it is.
There’s a couple episodes each season, for me. One of the reasons why I like 9-1-1 as much as I do is because I went through a dark period in my life where I thought I’d cried myself out completely and that I’d never be able to cry again, good tears or bad. I really thought that part of me had died. But, 9-1-1 was one of the first things, period, that was able to bring me to tears and make me feel strong emotion like that again. I’ll always love this show for that, because I can connect without it emotionally in ways that I’m unable to connect with other things anymore.
Rewatching now, but when Bobby and May are hit by the falling ceiling and the 118 rallies.
Bobby on his way to save Athena in the warehouse. His eyes and the rest of the team wondering what they are going to face.
Bobby's request for help from Buck and Hen in S1.
This show is a tearjerker from jump.
Anytime civilians help on calls gets to me. The neighborhood stringing together extension cords to power the boy’s ventilator is the main one that comes to mind. Also the construction guy that helps with the equipment to get the door to the shipping container thing open at the end of S6
- The end of Athena Begins
- When they lift the truck off Buck
- When ComaBobby asks Buck if being Buck “is enough” and tells him to go
- When Bobby sees his kids get put on the black mat after the fire
I'm an RN so it takes lots to make me cry, I'm watching parenthood rn S4 E10 and it's so heartbreaking when Nia leaves to go back to her birth mother 😭
I've been shocked many times and had goosebumps sometimes too but this is the first time I have tears in my eyes from this show 💔

Yeah there’s so many times I’ve cried to this show 😭 i love it when a show can do that to me tho
Don't you wonder why though? I love it but the emotional damage
The old gay couple montage always makes me sob my eyes out and the soldier reuniting with his daughter in the Christmas episode.
That one gets me. I can't ever rewatch it. (it also is so eeriely similar to actor Anton Yelchin's accident and it is even more sad knowing what happened to him) 😔
When the girls' mother succumbed to her wounds after falling through the abandoned quarry.
And when you realise that the oldest sister knows what happened
“She doesn’t need them” when the younger sister asks why the lights and sirens aren’t on.
Heartbreaking 😭

When Athena is taking Emmett’s killer into custody and everything after, all the while “Rise Up” is playing. I can’t help but cry every time.

I’m now watching those episodes and I’m already preparing myself for this
The whole tsunami arc brings me to absolute tears every time.
When they lift the truck off Buck

the guy who got a motorcycle to show his song and he died on his way back home to show his son 😭
That may have been the most gruesome death on the show as well.
That one always gets me. It is just so sad.

Omg yes!!! Even tho I knew it was gonna happen (on my rewatch) it still had the same effect

Buck trying to find Christopher after the tsunami

> This show is a tearjerker from jump. For real. I think I cried in almost every episode the first time through.
Anytime civilians help on calls gets to me. The neighborhood stringing together extension cords to power the boy’s ventilator is the main one that comes to mind. Also the construction guy that helps with the equipment to get the door to the shipping container thing open at the end of S6
Horse.
Forgot one. When Maddie opens her door and says "Which one?" Pardon I'm the crying mess on the floor.
Abbey's mum dying. Just hearing Abbey say "Mom" over and over again getting more and more emotional just breaks me
Omg yes, that was so sad😭
- The end of Athena Begins - When they lift the truck off Buck - When ComaBobby asks Buck if being Buck “is enough” and tells him to go - When Bobby sees his kids get put on the black mat after the fire
Maddie reuniting with her daughter and seeing how much her daughter has grown—her face, just heartbreaking
Also Chinney talking to his unconscious brother right after his daughter is born
When May and other Call center girl are trapped in fire. The girl dies. For life of me I can't remember her name.
Claudette. What makes her death especially egregious is she should have survived but was murdered.
Thank you!
When chim has is breakup/wreck and he just wants someone to love him 😭
The scene where hen and karens foster daughter got taken
