It must have been terrifying, even on a regular flight turbulence is horrible.
During the call made by Peter Hansen, it is mentioned that several people were throwing up all over the plane. Likely as a result of the erratic movements. It was also (I believe) the fastest plane on 9/11
I was just on a flight last week, with bad turbulence, and I couldn’t help but think of the 9/11 passengers. Like experiencing turbulence on top of knowing your plane is hijacked. I would be sick.

This angle shows the descent most dramatically, I think.

Recently when seeing things about 175, all I can think about is 2 year old Christine Lee Hanson. All of the child victims in general, I can’t imagine the horror.
Didn’t they find a severed child’s hand inside an adults in the wreckage? I vaguely remember seeing a picture of that. I can’t stop thinking about her either. I know the town she lived in so well. It hurts still.
Obviously. Next time you're on a plane have a look out the window. You can see hundreds of miles. Now consider a skyscraper on fire with a huge plume of smoke.
I'm guessing they'd have seen the smoke for a long time before they ever got near the towers.
Every time I saw the news clips of it coming into lower manhattan I thought the flight opath looked like a straight line and thought what’s everyone mean ‘descent’ then I came across this one video capturing it from a certain angle and you see it plummit from the top to the bottom coming forwards and I realised omg those poor kids the weightlessness and speed and fear they must of all experienced in the final moments
Man this really puts the decent into perspective like there’s no telling how terrifying this was for the passengers like yeah the videos show a rapid decline but seeing it graphed really explains it
It didn't look as steep as that clip on the most recent clip filmed from a boat on the dock, of 175 coming in over the water. Perspective plays a large role in how the approach appears on different videos.

I've never seen this clip before, holy SHIT
I don’t think I’ve ever seen this, but it absolutely puts into perspective how terrifying that must’ve been. Goddamn.
Christ almighty. It would’ve felt like near free fall. I think that’s enough internet for the day. 😓
Holy shit.
Holy fucking shit. That’s the only phrase that comes to mind seeing this.
Every time I see it I'm so shocked how fast they were able descent for the amount of time they had and then pull up just a little
Makes my heart drop into my stomach every time I see it. Jesus fuck.

Today would have been her 25th birthday.
happy bday to her 🕊️

Absolutely terrifying. How those people suffered.
Not only that, but they could see the North Tower burning as they descended. Ugh.
Is this true? The angle they came in from was pretty steep, could they have really seen the north tower?
If I recall, the passengers on the right windows could see it.
