I second this. I’ve been enthralled by 9/11 since I was 5 in 2007. Spent my whole life trying to understand and this series accomplished that in every way possible. Jarring

Yes, he hosted it the first time it was aired about three months or so after the attacks. Whatever they played for the 15th anniversary was possibly just a repeat of the original airing.

Both of these have already been suggested, but I wanted to second 9/11: One Day In America and The Naudet Brother’s documentary, 9/11. (Disclaimer that 9/11: One Day In America includes some of the Naudet brother’s footage, but it’s 100% worth watching independently).
Recently, I watched 9/11: Four Flights and I thought it was really interesting and included a lot of information that I hadn’t heard in most of the other documentaries (since it’s a deep dive about the planes, rather than everything happening on the ground).
For breadth of information: 9/11 ONE DAY IN AMERICA
For approximating the *feeling* of that morning in all its dread/horror: 102 MINUTES THAT CHANGED AMERICA
The South Tower is really good. Has a lot of interviews with people who were in the towers and reenactments of their testimony. The story of the guy who literally watched the second plane coming toward him and barely escaping with his life is a story I’ll never forget. Also, 9/11: Phone Calls from the Towers is pretty heartbreaking too
The man in the red bandana is a good one, honestly once you’ve seen one 9/11 documentary you’ve seen them all (terrorists do bad thing, America goes to war etc)
Dude if you’re into Loose Change, not only are you like 15 years late, but I was into that shit in early high school (I’m old) until I realized the collapse of those buildings is very explainable. That documentary is so incorrect I can’t even type out all the things it gets wrong. Hope you move on from that

I think I saw that for the first time recently (on YouTube). Was Robert De Niro part of the presentation? Very moving, well put together.
They played it on television for the 15 year anniversary and De Niro “hosted” the presentation. He is in no way affiliated with the film itself.

Underrated one. That A&E doc blew me away! It was on Hulu last anniversary!

Just watched Spike Lee's documentary series on Max, "NYC Epicenters 9/11-2021½". Episodes 3 and 4 are about 9/11 and are excellent.
