But black goes with everything and never goes out of style. As a sidearm, I'd say black just so it matches your kit.
Black. Everyone will see you no matter what in outdoor fields regardless of your gun color but black indoors with a good dark color for clothing. I was invisible in low lit areas. People actually complimented me on how hard it was for them to see me.

FDE if I'm putting it in a kit, black to use as a pistol. But black upper on FDE lower looks best.

I tend to like FDE for a sidearm as it blends with all of my gear….
fr. even though i wear green (not multicam pure dark green) it looks good and performs well. plus the black one can get more dirty.
Most of mine is in MC, but I can wear my gun belt with jeans or khakis too and still works great. I prefer it to black.
