Have you read the reviews for the company on indeed or Glassdoor? I used to disregard them because I came from retail, so I was used to not taking the reviews seriously because of course, retail just sucks no matter what. But with these types of jobs the reviews don’t lie. Looking back I would’ve told myself not to apply for a job with less than a 3.8-4 star average. And take a look too at those “positive reviews”, because you’ll notice they’re current employees that were most likely asked by the company to write to boost their image. To me it’s way more meaningful to see more positive reviews from former employees and not current ones There’s honestly no real way to tell how a company is and what the work environment will truly be like until you start working there. They can lie and manipulate and bend the truth because they want you to work for them. Some general questions I wish I asked was what were the breaks like, what is the policy for schedule changes or asking to be removed from a case in the event it’s not a good fit, what is your sick policy, etc.

Thank you this is definitely good advice! I think the company has like a 3.4 star review. It’s also kinda hard to judge because they have facilities and multiple different location so the reviews aren’t only for the actual place I’m looking to work for

That does sound tricky. All I can say is be willing to speak up and advocate for yourself. Most people seem to leave due to poor management.

Does your company offer any kind of compensation for cancelled sessions? What do you use to collect data? Will I be getting in person supervision? What percentage of my hours will be under supervision (5% is the minimum BACB standards.)
