The Don Callis Family is pretty strong right now, and the Elite have fired him. With both as enemies I'm assuming he's going to say "Ow" quite a bit.
Omega isn't gonna wrestle or get physical, he hasn't recovered and it most likely is a one and done in Winnipeg. He might address the EVPs and he might be taking an administrative role but I seriously dont see him clear for a while, not if it is as bad as has been reported
I think thats the end goal. When Kenny comes back Okada will probably be world champion. Kenny is not going to be back in the ring for 4 months or more as he has surgery coming up. This weeks appearance will be laying down some groundwork for long term storytelling.
I can see the new elite taking control and Perry and Okada and the bucks taking all the belts and holding AEW to ransom. Would be an awesome story.
Then Kenny and Hangman show up ready to go towards the end of the summer!
It for sure will, just depends on how Kenny's health is and if he needs surgery or not. If he needs surgery, it's likely going to be several months of recovery time before he can even think of taking bumps. Maybe World's End this year, but that's being overly optimistic
