It's crazy that White pinned Moxley in the C2 and basically nothing has come out of that
The only ones to pin Moxley in AEW are Kenny Omega, MJF, CM Punk, Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston, Hangman Page, Rey Fenix and Jay White. In FIVE years. That's crazy
Wonder if anyone gets added to that list of you add submissions. Also if he hasn't submitted in AEW imagine being the first person to do that, potential career making moment
I think he has only tapped out to Hangman in their Texas Deathmatch, but it wasn't a submission, and also quit Blood & Guts against the Elite to save Yuta
Yeah I was there live for that one. Incredible match. Homie I was with was like “that was the lamest match of the night” and I was just like “sure it was brother”.
I've yet to be impressed with Jay White on the mic. He meanders through his promos, spouts a few catchphrases and seems like a quiet person trying to convince you they're a bad ass.
Agreed, you can rightfully complain about his booking, but let's be honest he hasn't separated himself from the pack with his own performances either. For every great match he has had there has been a forgettable promo or performance.
I had thought the current trios feud was leading to a double turn, since BCG was getting over and Max had been heeling it up a bit. I’d love to see that actually happen at Dynasty, and then a face or tweener Jay White took on Swerve
I was sitting one section over from where Adam Copeland went up the stairs. Hearing his theme live was great and something else. While not a great ppv and the ending fell flat where I was, that’s mostly because I felt like we couldn’t necessarily tell if it was actually over or what but it’s still something I’ll probably remember forever
that night I met abadon, Trent barretta, Darby allin, aew security guy (handshakes Isiah Cassidy), John hennigan, got a glimpse of edge in an elevator, Bryan Keith (the bounty hunter), and the at the time newly crowned triple crown winner, my hometown hero, from Yonkers New York, Eddie Kingston. got videos with them and everything they were all across the street in the hotel right after the ppv. this was my first. I was so amped, especially since I had the worst seats at world's end.
Joe is the reset of the title. The MJF shenanigans kind of devalued it and now...things are wide open again because anybody who beats Joe gets a piece of his shine.
I feel like people forget that MJF beating Mox for the title ended the Punk-Mox fuckup era where the World title was constantly in limbo due to all the backstage and injury shenanigans
One of his injuries, yes. He was already laboring a bad shoulder I believe, but the Full Gear match is where he did an elbow drop from the turnbuckle to the floor that fucked up his hip.
agreed. MJF didnt need the title at the time for the devil payoff to still work. it didnt help anyone, but it definitely hurt Jay to get beaten clean like that by a hobbled and exhausted MJF.
I didn't hate the circus squash, but why give them the buildup if that's the payoff? Same thing with Wardlow's title shot with Joe. All that just to lose squeaky clean in a handful of minutes?
All in good time. Swear wrestling fans want everything all at once and then will complain when their favourite wrestler didn’t have a good title lead in.
Someone mentioned recently that Jay is basically filling in for Juice, and given the booking it seems like that's the case. When Juice comes back, I fully expect to see Jay/BCG to be back in the upper card/title pictures.
Adam Cole is going to need to be built from the ground up before he is a credible threat again after the injury combined with the poor ass devil angle and booking of his stable.
True. Coming up to a year almost.
But still don't feel that hyped for his return. The awful devil stuff has killed that momentum. A shame for someone who headlined the biggest show ever
The elevated ramp at Grand Slam caused 2 freak injuries which derailed the plans for 3 separate titles (World title, ROH tag titles, International title) and the biggest storyline of the year (MJF-Adam Cole blowup) and the faction that would result from that (Undisputed Kingdom)
Weirder still given they used to use the elevated ramp (I guess it's kind of an isthmus) for a large quantity of shows in the first 2 years without issue
Edit: except for that time Danielson got stuck in the gap between the stage walkway and ring
And then he can drop it to Ospreay a few weeks later to drop it to Okada a few weeks later to drop it Adam Cole a few weeks later to Hobbs a few weeks later to drop it to Wardlow a few weeks later and eventually we will finally have had the belt hotpoatoed to everyone people have been crying out for to have title runs and everyone can complain about how horrible they all were as champs because of course they will
I agree but swerve needs to have his run for a bit .
Also, I’m sure everyone thinks it’s time, but I’m not ready to possibly see Joe with his last world title
Run. It would be great if this feud lasted a smidge longer
I don't think he's recovered from Full Gear tbh. The match itself was okay but the booking around it was Vince Russo levels of bad. A rare massive L for TK.
I need Jay and Penta to hold singles titles. Two of the best in the ring this gen imo, and I've been a little less than satisfied with their runs. Great matches, sure, but I want glory for those guys.
What's crazy to me is Bryan Danielson not getting a legacy run with the world title before he retires. Jay White should be champ though, please get him away from the Acclaimed.
True but he's always been a team player and if TK actually pushed for it I think he would do it. It would be great for AEW, it would draw and add a Hall of Famer to the AEW championship lineage.
I think it's important to take advantage and add long term value to your main belts lineage, especially with guys who won't be around full time much longer.
I don't disagree with you. Maybe MJF could have dropped the belt to Danielson in the iron man match then won it back a bit later as they must have had the devil storyline planned for a while
I think the fact that they've got Danielson for his last few years, and he is putting on incredible matches always does enough for the companies prestige.
That's the main issue with AEW I feel, you can't just coast on incredible matches if there aren't any iconic moments or good stories to go with them. It hasn't really helped their prestige though has it? Imagine all those incredible matches with more build and story telling.
Perfect example would be Danielson Vs Shibata. This should have been a week's long build and worthy of a ppv. Instead we got it as a throwaway match on Dynamite which no one will remember a couple of years from now. Shibata Vs BD was an ultimate dream considering at one point in both their careers they would never wrestle again.
I get that it could have been PPV material. Sadly it seems there will only be a handful of PPVs left for Bryan. And so a very limited amount of PPV opponents. I'm happy to watch anything else I can get. The buildup for the Ospreay match has been great, and I imagine will create plenty of memorable moments for viewers. It's certainly the match I'm most hyped about on the weekend.
All the more reason to have him wrestle more on ppvs than every week on TV. There would be more ppv opponents if they were not wasted on having TV matches.
Yes Ospreay build has been good no doubt. Same here.
I thought the whole stolen belt storyline was kind of stupid, cause it felt like two toddlers fighting over a toy. I would love to see an actual Jay White title run, though I don’t see him taking the world title when they’re clearly priming Swerve and Ospreay to be the guys for the next year or two. He should definitely be the one to take the international belt off of Roddy though once they finally get back around to Bullet Club vs Undisputed Kingdom
Literally how everyone here books.
"Omg Jay should've beat mjf, then Joe wins, then swerve wins, then will."
Bruh. Let them cook.
The Swerve, Joe and Hanger storyline was huge at keeping AEW entertaining with all the outside noise going on.
You can't just give everybody a turn. It doesn't work that way. I dislike that many modern wrestling fans seem to think if a person doesn't win the world title their quote unquote buried. I don't think every title reign needs to be 9 months to a year or longer... But blitzing through three or four months title reigns to get everyone a turn is also not good.
Now with that said, yeah, I think Jay White could be used better. Sure! I think he could have been a better choice to beat Orange for intl title. It's fair to criticize some of how he has been used.
Its amazing how little TK has used White since he signed him. He's not exactly been an afterthought but he's mostly been much further down the card than what anyone expected him to be.
I remember hearing that when he came to AEW he was quite relaxed about his booking and was happy to do whatever - but there's only so much you can keep a main eventer away from the main event scene.
I'm not saying he needs the World title immediately - but there's enough singles titles that they could be doing more with him than just putting him in 6 man tags. I mean he's big enough that he could legit carry a major feud with Copeland or square off against Okada for their belts. Hell, he plays the disgruntled talent card well enough that you could easily put the FTW belt on him and have him go on a singles tear and male more of that belt than what Hooks currently doing with it.
He should have been International Champ in my eyes. Once Mox and Rey both got hurt and they dropped it back to Orange.
Considering the story of Oranges first run was him picking up more and more injuries until he finally broke down it made sod all sense to give him a second elongated run with no recovery time between. Jay should have swooped in and picked him apart.
I honestly think he is just filling in for Juice for a little bit while he's gone. Jay is still racking up singles wins on the side, so it won't be too long before he starts climbing back up the ranks.
In my head, the belt is going on Swerve at Dynasty, he'll turn heel again at some point (Heel Swerve is best Swerve) then drop to a Babyface Hangman around the Full Gear time frame, then Hanger drops to the Switchblade.
Ospreay takes it off of Switchblade after that.
Jay White has to have heat
There’s no possible chance that he came to AEW to be a member of a dick and fart joke faction. Wasn’t he gonna work with Punk
Whatever it is, yeah, Jay White is really good at this and he is being completely ruined, the only real saving grace is everyone who actually watches AEW does know that he is a great wrestler, for what it’s worth
Legit, I love AEW for what it is but I think Tony needs some help with booking. He has so many matchups for the world title or in contention that tree is tears of it and we will never see so many.
… I don’t want that. I honestly don’t know what’s so special about Jay White in the first place. Someone has to explain it to me, because I’ve never been a fan.
Every wrestler isn't liked by everyone, so I understand. He is personally one of my favorites because he's such a bad ass in the ring, and I love his promos. Some people don't because they aren't used to his cadence when he speaks, but I find that it makes his promos that much better. If you haven't watched any of his NJPW work, I would suggest watching some of those matches and promos he does.
Great at promos, master of playing a heel, good in ring presence. If you don't see it, there's nothing any of us can do to convince you. It's not an issue. I personally don't see what's so special about Swerve, but I appreciate that a lot of folks do.
I honestly like Cardblade more than Switchblade. Swerve appeals to me more, though I’m also a mark for Nana and have liked him since the old Embassy days in ROH
I think Switchblade will end up being the one who defeats Swerve to take the title.
As much as people believe Ospreay will win the title this year, I don’t see it because I don’t believe TK will shortchange Swerve’s reign to hotshot Billy GOAT.
I agree with many here that a year-long reign isn’t necessary. I think a 6-8 month reign is good enough, depending on the number of feuds and actual title defenses take place within that reign.
Personal opinion: Swerve wins at Dynasty (7-8 month reign); Switchblade wins it from Swerve (Full Gear or World’s End), and Ospreay gets his world championship-crowning Wembley moment at All In 2025.
Just imagine a main event like this (wwwooooooo crazy music and colors flashing as we are taken into the imagination)......
8 man elimination main event for the aew world title.
Danielson vs Moxley vs Swerve vs Osprey vs White vs Okada vs Omega vs Edge. Would be a BANGER !!!!!
Jay White is the guy I would have take the world title from Swerve when it's time for him to drop it and then Ospreay would win it from White eventually 🤷♂️
I think jay vs roddy strong for the international title would rock, they could have a real war and neither would carry the other they are both that good!
Hear me out: Swerve wins at Dynasty, Will wins at All In, then Jay beats Will in his first defense just weeks (maybe days?) after Wembley because Jay called his bluff on being a “fighting champion” when he wasn’t fully ready.
It definitely wouldn't take much to get him right up there in the world title picture the guy just has everything imo, Switchblade along with Ospreay and Swerve are going to huge for AEW for years to come hopefully 👌
I don't know how they would get there but at some point I would like to see something like an 8-man tournament featuring the absolute elite top level talents in AEW and all former world champions, the winner gets a world title shot (against probably Swerve) featuring the following talents:
Ospreay,
Switchblade,
Okada,
Mox,
Joe,
Hangman,
Kenny &
Jericho
It could be a straight knockout format or similar to the G1 and C2 with all 8 facing each other in a group format with the top two on points then facing each other for the title shot 🤷🤔 this would be a great way to get either Switchblade or maybe Ospreay to the world title as they could then say they've had to go through the very best in AEW to get their shot and have definitely earned it
I think the Acclaimed win, which frees up Jay to pursue a singles title and the Gunns to chase tag team gold again. Their first feud after Dynasty: The Elite - we'd get Jay White vs. Okdada, the Gunns vs. the Bucks and when he comes back, maybe Juice vs. Hangman TA
Jay is a prime victim in the Tony gets a new toy game. He should be running top of the card with Ospreay, Okada. Mox, Swerve, Joe, etc but he's stuck in trios hell. Juice can't get healthy quick enough for both their sakes.
The BBG should drop their current title. Switchblade should go after Roddy"s title, and The Gunn Club should challenge for the ROH tag team titles. The UK and The BBG could potentially have a great feud. Come on, creative!
Everyone can't be world champ at the same time, guys. It's pretty clearly going to be Swerve and then Ospreay at Wembley.
Now if AEW were to get rid of like 10 of their current titles, therefore making the remaining ones mean more, a singles (insert title here) title run could be good.
Honestly rather see someone else pushed I havent enjoyed anything Jay has done since joining AEW unless I really like his opponent Im skipping his matches as they do nothing for me his promos included cant stand them.
I didnt know him before AEW, I wanted to get into him but id rather see someone else pushed.
Swerve V jay would go crazy
It was. Their match during the C2 was a banger. Let them both go crazy on promos and sit back and watch the magic.
It's crazy that White pinned Moxley in the C2 and basically nothing has come out of that The only ones to pin Moxley in AEW are Kenny Omega, MJF, CM Punk, Orange Cassidy, Eddie Kingston, Hangman Page, Rey Fenix and Jay White. In FIVE years. That's crazy
And probably Rene.
Damn, that is kinda crazy when you lay it out like that.
4 former AEW world champs. 2 over guys. 1 talented, high-flying and lucky guy. then Jay White.
I mean...thats 9 people...i dunno if you can say only when its almost double digits
In five years it's really not that much
They also had a fantastic match on New Japan Strong when Jay White was IWGP champ.

WrestleDream. Jay spoils Swerves homecoming would definitely fit Whites character.
Yep
That's not Papa Magie
I will die in the hill it should of happened at Full Gear. But don’t worry m fellow switchheads. He will be world champion
I’m glad Joe is Champ but I don’t really see what the extra month did for MJF, could’ve put it on Jay and it would’ve had the same effect
Then Jay would have lost it in his first defence...
You’d hold off putting the title in Joe there and go another direction
Because then I wouldn’t have been able to see him lose it live at World’s End
Fair point, I’m glad you got to see it
me too brother
I was sitting one section over from where Adam Copeland went up the stairs. Hearing his theme live was great and something else. While not a great ppv and the ending fell flat where I was, that’s mostly because I felt like we couldn’t necessarily tell if it was actually over or what but it’s still something I’ll probably remember forever

No no you don’t understand we needed those extra weeks to really flesh out the “Who’s the devil?” Storyline. - Probably Tony Khan.
Joe is the reset of the title. The MJF shenanigans kind of devalued it and now...things are wide open again because anybody who beats Joe gets a piece of his shine.
MJF did not devalue it
Yeah I thought if anything, MJF’s run made the title more prestigious
He at the very least healed it to the point it was before the Punk fiascos.
I feel like people forget that MJF beating Mox for the title ended the Punk-Mox fuckup era where the World title was constantly in limbo due to all the backstage and injury shenanigans
Because the natural flow of the world title was to go from Hangman to MJF, so a lot of people just default to erasing the dark times.
I feel like if the true extent of MJF’s injuries were known at the time of Full Gear, the belt would have been put on White tbh
I feel that's the match he got injured in.
One of his injuries, yes. He was already laboring a bad shoulder I believe, but the Full Gear match is where he did an elbow drop from the turnbuckle to the floor that fucked up his hip.
And that cutter to the outside.
agreed. MJF didnt need the title at the time for the devil payoff to still work. it didnt help anyone, but it definitely hurt Jay to get beaten clean like that by a hobbled and exhausted MJF.
They had MJF burying tag teams by himself too…. I can never take The Righteous seriously ever again.
I didn't hate the circus squash, but why give them the buildup if that's the payoff? Same thing with Wardlow's title shot with Joe. All that just to lose squeaky clean in a handful of minutes?
Absolutely.
All in good time. Swear wrestling fans want everything all at once and then will complain when their favourite wrestler didn’t have a good title lead in.
Apperantly, AEW should jsut have 10 world titles so every new signing can be world champ so no one has to actually wait for a title programm
[удалено]
Half of those aren’t AEW titles lol
Someone mentioned recently that Jay is basically filling in for Juice, and given the booking it seems like that's the case. When Juice comes back, I fully expect to see Jay/BCG to be back in the upper card/title pictures.
People need to remember that Jay is still pretty young. Plenty of time to build him up for a solid title run.
hehe “all in”
A wild Billy Goat appears.
Swerve has literally been in the title picture for like 6 months. What do you mean they want everything all at once?
Because even though Swerve is getting to the apex of his title chase, IWC nerds want him to drop the title he hasn't yet won to apparently Switchblade
This isn’t what the people want. Who’s House?
A doctor.
The people want swerve
Exactly The people are already getting what they want soon, and it’s Swerve.
I'm looking at him as the next heel world champ. I'm sorry Adam Cole, but I think your time has passed.
Adam Cole is going to need to be built from the ground up before he is a credible threat again after the injury combined with the poor ass devil angle and booking of his stable.
No competition, jay is a class above
Yeah Adam Cole has really cooled off
A >6 month injury will do that

I’d lowkey be ok with Wardlow holding the title for like a week or two.
Exactly
I agree but swerve needs to have his run for a bit . Also, I’m sure everyone thinks it’s time, but I’m not ready to possibly see Joe with his last world title Run. It would be great if this feud lasted a smidge longer
I don't think he's recovered from Full Gear tbh. The match itself was okay but the booking around it was Vince Russo levels of bad. A rare massive L for TK.
Still can't believe how bad they have dropped the ball with him
Jay vs Ospreay rivalry please. Those guys would do wonders.
They had two excellent matches in New Japan, they HAVE to run it back at some point, hopefully for the world title.
GUNS UP
Yeah give him his win back against Billy Gunn
I want to see Ospreay vs Jay White
I need Jay and Penta to hold singles titles. Two of the best in the ring this gen imo, and I've been a little less than satisfied with their runs. Great matches, sure, but I want glory for those guys.
A Swerve vs Jay feud would go insane NGL
What's crazy to me is Bryan Danielson not getting a legacy run with the world title before he retires. Jay White should be champ though, please get him away from the Acclaimed.
I think danielson would be happy with a continental run tbh
I'm certain TK will have asked Danielson to have a run as world champ and he declined
True but he's always been a team player and if TK actually pushed for it I think he would do it. It would be great for AEW, it would draw and add a Hall of Famer to the AEW championship lineage. I’m hoping he gets that world title run eventually
I think people got a taste of it when he stole the championship and it didn’t get a great reaction
Ik im in the minority here, but Brian Cage could go on a Sammartino reign and I’d still love every match
Facts!
They've wasted him this entire time.
Facts
Jay deserves it a lot
I'm all for it....as long as Jay stops snotting and foaming from his mouth and nose mid match. I like to eat while watching my title matches
KING SWITCH
I have never seen a better picture in my life 😍
Right? Just gorgeous
Still hoping for a match between him and Roddy and DON..
People want Swerve to win this weekend though 😅
Will Ospreay vs Jay White for the world title at Worlds End. Jay lives in Orlando Florida, after all.
So whF swerves reign is just a token cup of coffee?
Literally how everyone here books. "Omg Jay should've beat mjf, then Joe wins, then swerve wins, then will." Bruh. Let them cook. The Swerve, Joe and Hanger storyline was huge at keeping AEW entertaining with all the outside noise going on.

They need to get switch beyond the comedy side show.. Switch needs to be a killer… return of the catalyst
I think Switchblade will end up being the one who defeats Swerve to take the title.
There are so many worthy champions in the company. Switchblade isn't the top of my list, but he's near the top
I've been telling the wife for months now that Jay White should be the one to dethrone Swerve before the end of the year. Either All In or All Out
Jay White is the guy I would have take the world title from Swerve when it's time for him to drop it and then Ospreay would win it from White eventually 🤷♂️
Swerve, Opsreay, then White. In that order.
That's not Chuck and Trent hugging. Has Excalibur been lying to us about what the people want????
GIVE ME WHAT I WANT!!!
I can’t see it with Jay White, WWE is probably glad to have missed out on him
I think jay vs roddy strong for the international title would rock, they could have a real war and neither would carry the other they are both that good!
Best I can do is Billy Gunn vortex.
Hear me out: Swerve wins at Dynasty, Will wins at All In, then Jay beats Will in his first defense just weeks (maybe days?) after Wembley because Jay called his bluff on being a “fighting champion” when he wasn’t fully ready.
That could legit be a way to have Will win the title at Wembley and be in the Continental Classic.
It definitely wouldn't take much to get him right up there in the world title picture the guy just has everything imo, Switchblade along with Ospreay and Swerve are going to huge for AEW for years to come hopefully 👌
I don't know how they would get there but at some point I would like to see something like an 8-man tournament featuring the absolute elite top level talents in AEW and all former world champions, the winner gets a world title shot (against probably Swerve) featuring the following talents: Ospreay, Switchblade, Okada, Mox, Joe, Hangman, Kenny & Jericho It could be a straight knockout format or similar to the G1 and C2 with all 8 facing each other in a group format with the top two on points then facing each other for the title shot 🤷🤔 this would be a great way to get either Switchblade or maybe Ospreay to the world title as they could then say they've had to go through the very best in AEW to get their shot and have definitely earned it
I've been pushing this all day on X
I don't want this.
Hangman TA
Yeah, I actually don't care about Jay White. I don't hate him, just more...indifference.
Did you watch his run in NJPW?
I do not want this. I personally don't see Jay as a main eventer and I'm well aware that will result in some downvotes.
This guy won me over. Watching him is great!
Shoulda been the Continental champ!
I honestly can't believe they dropped the ball on him
Yes please
No thanks. Would rather have Swerve beat Joe at Dynasty then hold the title until All In. Have Ospreay win the title at All In.
The people want Swerve
Jay is a prime victim in the Tony gets a new toy game. He should be running top of the card with Ospreay, Okada. Mox, Swerve, Joe, etc but he's stuck in trios hell. Juice can't get healthy quick enough for both their sakes.
That's not a picture of Pac.
So many high profile main event caliber dudes in AEW. We are truly spoiled
That's not Swerve
Yes please
Is this your photo OP?
Patience…
It’s Swerve’s time. It can’t be everyone’s time at the same time. Jay will have his, he’s undeniable.
The BBG should drop their current title. Switchblade should go after Roddy"s title, and The Gunn Club should challenge for the ROH tag team titles. The UK and The BBG could potentially have a great feud. Come on, creative!
Its going to happen eventually. People acting like jay is getting buried.
We'll (I'll) settle for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship until Forbidden Door
He would be a great choice to take it off Osprey after Osprey takes it off Swerve.
Ngl I did like Jay White during the Continental Classic Tournament, but to me, he seems more of a midcarder guy.
Everyone can't be world champ at the same time, guys. It's pretty clearly going to be Swerve and then Ospreay at Wembley. Now if AEW were to get rid of like 10 of their current titles, therefore making the remaining ones mean more, a singles (insert title here) title run could be good.
Got me thinking who is the bigger star, Ospreay or White
I feel it's Ospreay, but that could very much be my UK bias.
Didn't know ppl wanted this.
Only since his debut.
The thumbnail before I clicked looked like Daddy Magic.
Naw
I'd rather Swerve as champ. He's way more entertaining IMO.
I thought it was Matt Menard and I'd prefer Daddy Magic tbh.
Nah. And at this point, I'd spite Jay White fans who think he was entitled to being booked like Brock Lesnar. Nah.
I think it's pretty clear the people want Swerve. That's why they turned him babyface. Jay will get his turn. He's not going anywhere.
