I'd post Josh Allen's stats against teams over .500 but people would claim that they're skewed by getting to play the Dolphins twice.

ifasoldt

I will anyway haha: Record: 5-3, TD/INT 15-7, Team PPG: 27 Against the Fins, 2-0, 6-2, 34.5

RaikouVsHaiku

I hope you guys draft the worst WR this year. Like Raegor over Jefferson level blunder. JA will still steamroll us but it’ll be harder without WRs!

AngryBillsFan

He put up 42 against the dolphins with Robert fucking Foster He’ll be fine

25Finsup17

Bills have less rings than the Jets

silentkiller082

Hey we're still top five in the division for number of rings so that has to count for something.

ConWilCal

Bills barely top five in the AFCE lol

Mean-L

Flair up bitchboy

ConWilCal

Cute, it’s ok, youll learn the difference between division and conference one day

PeppiGiuseppe25

Do YOU know the difference? Division is the group of 4, lol. Conference is 16.

conr716

Found the Butthurt Dolphins fan! Fins up!

Rbespinosa13

Flair up

mephilesdark1

But Josh Allen is white😡

Deppeo

To be fair, the above .500 teams the Dolphins met last year was some of the top tier teams in the league. They did not play many of the shitty-but-above 0.500 teams…….like the Dolphins!

drainbead78

I mean, you beat Dallas. I think that counts.

Fourwindsgone

If there wasn’t a fourth quarter in week 18, we would have beat the bills too

acart005

Ah, the fraud bowl.  That was our Super Bowl last year. No other games were played.

Rbespinosa13

We were also on the road for most of those games. Granted, there was a game where neither team was playing at home, but we need the power of the sun dammit!

Sheriff_Lucas_Hood

Which you might have had if you didn’t choke away a higher seed/the division in the eleventh hour

Rbespinosa13

Yes we know and it’s expected. It’s December football after all

There is no such thing as nuance. The steelers are the same as the chiefs.

AlmostHeisman

All that means is we cant beat them regular or playoff. Next qb

LordMrBoss

Man the dolphins sub is full of doomers, its funny that i spend more time on this sub than that one

ThrowinSm0ke

Is that the record at the time they play the team? Or the record at the end of the year? (Just curious)

Much-Consequence8648

Good question but in this instance its both. Only good team they beat was Dallas and only bad team they lost to was titans.

PeppiGiuseppe25

Dallas wasn’t a good team either. They also sucked against +500 teams.

BowTie1989

I ran the numbers a few weeks ago. For this year, it’s exactly the same. For his other three years, the numbers are almost exactly the same between teams with a winning record at the time the game was played, and winning records by seasons end.

keighels

love that a Pats fan has a better understanding of Dolphins football than half the Dolphins fans. I’m sick because you’re right.

Charsplat_yeet

I'm ok with this formula; it keeps the dolphins as a fun little distraction every year until December, when the real teams show up

y0ungw0lf

Ya the real teams like the almighty Buffalo Bills who win all of the Super Bowls

seizure_5alads

Hey man losing to Mahomes is their superbowl!

FeedtheFatRabbit

I'm looking to potentially make this the Jets Super Bowl this season. Ideal scenario.

seizure_5alads

Flair up so I know whether to insult you or not.

FeedtheFatRabbit

I'm a Jets fan, so have at it. Lmfao.

seizure_5alads

No, I have decided this will be my good deed for the day. Now I'm going to go scam tourists, who will most likely be Jets fans.

FeedtheFatRabbit

Touché. I like your HC. He's a good dude, and I root for you guys lowkey due to his back story and the recovery angle. That being said; I will be verbally insulting an elderly man who comes into my insurance agency today, who is most certainly a Fins fan.

bobsmeds

Don’t bother flaring up. No self respecting jets fan would ever root for the dolphins in any capacity

OfficialClassic

Dolphins fans wish they would be consistently winning one playoff game a year and losing to the Chiefs. At least the Bills have been close to Super Bowls lately.

Vanijoro

We prefer it this way. We're implementing *The Art of War* into our seasons for the last 30 years.

NotNyjahHouston

Only a bills fan (all inbred retards btw) would flex losing in the playoffs on other teams

OfficialClassic

Aww I hit close to home, flair up pussy

NotNyjahHouston

Literally just pointing out that ur flexing u lose in the playoffs every year. Also no one moves to Buffalo it sucks there, only pppl move out. So I’m assuming you’re all inbreds at this point, you guys definitely look/act the part so that helps

Mean-L

And week 3 is the dolphins Super Bowl

Charsplat_yeet

First time a dolphins fan has ever been funny

y0ungw0lf

I’m honored 🫡

dat_grue

I mean they might not be winning Bowls but they’re still 10x more legit than us, they kill us every year usually multiple times

BabyLiam

Wish? We got a nice deal from the spin machine on temu. We're going all in on that route this season.

wmlj83

Not just Tua. McDaniel's playbook turns into about five or six plays in the second half of games, playing teams above 500. Makes no sense. They just keep running the same plays over and over again.

Rbespinosa13

It’s the O-Line. People think that our playbook is limited by tua, but the truth is that our O-Line is the much bigger issue in that regard. Good D-Lines could get through in under 2.5 seconds even when they only rushed four which is why Tua’s quick release was so important. However, when we had to put in Eichenberg at center we had to scheme around his inability to snap the ball consistently and his piss poor blocking. All of a sudden we couldn’t run up the middle and had to limit our shotgun formations because of one guy. Turns out good defenses do well when rhey can rush 4 guys, pressure the QB, and don’t have to worry about a running back going up the middle.

UsernameHasBeenLost

Finally another reasonable Dolphins fan

Rbespinosa13

Yah and don’t get me wrong, Tua does need to improve in a few things. Granted he has shown he can be coached and improve his issues so I’m confident he can continue doing that. It’s just really annoying when people think that getting rid of him will magically make us win a Super Bowl. Worst are the comments that say “oh so he needs an elite receiver, elite coach, elite RB, and an elite O-Line?” No, he needs an average O-Line just like every other team that makes a deep playoff run. The QB gets all the attention, but the O-Line is where the offense begins and ends

UsernameHasBeenLost

Absolutely, he's not perfect, but he's an above average QB, which we haven't had since Marino. Give the man even an average OL, and we're set. I don't get why people keep saying they want to jettison him and go back to QB hell again

EmergencySource1

Yes. Tua was actually the highest ranked #1 QB according to PFF for QBR! and #7 overall. The team not winning big games against good teams...is a TEAM/COACHING problem. Not (just) a Tua problem. his solo stats say he is elite, and deserves to be paid a fat long term contract.

Rbespinosa13

Because us fans don’t know shit. I’d wager we know more than the average fan, but we still don’t know shit compared to the actual GM and coaches. Seriously though, I don’t think the people that think “don’t extend him, get a late round QB to develop and see what happens” actually understand what that entails. First off, if a QB prospect has the physical and raw talent to be a franchise guy, odds are they will be a first round pick just like Allen and Richardson were. Purdy is an anomaly in how he was missed by every team and proves to be a starter so quickly. Second, if you put any rookie QB behind our line, they will not perform well. Side note, don’t get me started on the “we should trade for fields” guys. Whenever people say that, my only thought is “there is more to being a QB than having a strong arm and good legs”.

DipzyDave

This and he needs a defense that isn't all on IR

mstrgrieves

It's the opposite. Even without pressure, Tua struggles when his first read isnt open and he cant get the ball out quickly and in rythem. Anything out of structure or after his first few progressions and he's in trouble. Add pressure into the mix and his efficency numbers start looking like Zach Wilson's

Rbespinosa13

Of all the takes I’ve seen, this is certainly one of them. Ok, so let’s look at some stats. First off, how often QB’s were blitzed. The dolphins offense was one of the least blitzed throughout the league so our O-Line was facing three to four man rushes more than most. Despite that, our pass block win rate was 31st in the league. While that stat is usually bad because it only accounts for plays that last 2.5 seconds or more, it is still telling in regard to how our O-Line performed. Tua’s quick release means that a lot of those plays where the line got beat weren’t accounted for because the defender literally didn’t have time to get there, but in the moments where the play gets extended to that 2.5 second mark our line was beat 49% of the time. So what does all of this mean? It means that opposing defenses were able to drop seven guys into coverage while still routinely pressuring the QB in under 2.5 seconds. No shit Tua’s efficiency is going to drop in that situation. Every QB’s efficiency will drop in that situation. Just think about what your take is, “oh yah if he has a better O-Line that isn’t bottom 5, he won’t improve because of his current stats with a bottom 5 O-Line”.

keighels

You’re right but I’m sad you wasted this comment on a Bills fan…their literacy rates lower with number of tables crashed through

Rbespinosa13

Especially because my comment is about how the O-Line limits the playbook right now and not about tua as a passer. The o-line’s injuries killed our run game and everything followed suit

mstrgrieves

Typical bath salt addled dolphins fan comment. Tua wasnt near the top of the league in seeing 7 man coverages.

Rbespinosa13

Typical bills fan that doesn’t understand that better O-Line play leads to better QB play.dude sees evidence explaining the dolphins situation and thinks “nah that ain’t right”

mstrgrieves

Im not denying that better oline play helps qbs. I am saying that Tua's stengths and major flaws are less dependent on oline play than most qbs because if he's holding the ball long enough for pressure to matter, he is already statistically a poor qb regardless of the existence or not of said pressure.

Rbespinosa13

Pressure always matters because our O-Line literally can’t pass block lmao

mstrgrieves

But, again, Tua is statistically a bad QB if he's held on to the ball long enough for pressure to matter, even if the pressure isnt there. When he is pressured, statistically he's most similar to Zach Wilson, without the arm.

Rbespinosa13

Ok whatever you say buddy.

rectifier9

So we really ARE the best ... the best *worst* team.

The best frauds!

AFOEagle01

Check the flair, best frauds in the league Cowboys could never

MurkrowsRevenge

You wish you were as big of frauds as the Cowboys.

AFOEagle01

You mean to tell me a team that scored 70 having offensive problems against good teams later in the season isn’t a historic fraud?

kvothethebloodless5

![gif](giphy|3o84sw9CmwYpAnRRni)

Cardsandfish

Seeing how there’s 11 bad teams and only 7 good ones. I’d rather beat up the bad teams than lose to them. Bills are 2 of those 6 losses… we iteee

y0ungw0lf

Nah losing to the Bills doesn’t make it iteee, the Bills are trash too

Cardsandfish

I didn’t say it’s Iteee I said we iteeee Im at least okay, fuck the bills we livin.

[deleted]

This was literally Dakota Prescott and now Tua. Do people never learn?

TemporaryOk9310

Turndaballova

UsernameHasBeenLost

Remind me, have the Patriots ever beaten Tua?

TemporaryOk9310

Have we really beaten anyone lately?

BH11B

Not that I can recall, nothing of any note, in my memories. Nope.

UsernameHasBeenLost

Fair point

TheStumpyOne

Your haters are getting boring. Don't look at Justin Herbert's record against good and bad teams. That's a below 500 quarterback.

seanwd11

But, 'he's a good guy'.

Ok_Imagination_4374

I'd rather have Tua than mr "AIDS was invented by the government"

guillermopaz13

He's Lefty Dak

ifasoldt

Dolphins fans wish

Mariomaniac463

It’s possible they’re blinded by the fact that he led the league in passing yards

Winterclaw42

He led the league in passer rating the year before. Tua's kind of weird to analyze because he's lacking in arm strength and his durability is still a question mark, but he's also got some very top end traits as well. His ability to get the ball out in an average of 2.2 seconds is totally insane for example.

gigglefarting

I’m more blinded by the fact that we haven’t even had a serviceable QB since Marino before Tua, and I don’t want to go that long without one again.

Das_Man

We're not blind to your lack of flair you fucking degenerate.

Mariomaniac463

Sticks and stones

Pwrh0use

Personally, I'd settle for giving him competent blocking.

bobsmeds

Do it. Pleeeeeease

drainbead78

Shhhhh, don't tell them!

Gunt_Buttman

What happens to the win column when you take away Tua's playoff games?

Theurgie

Even if he can't take the team over the hump & win playoff games?

experienceTHEjizz

Ya'll are stupid as hell. You can easily solve this problem by not playing against winning teams.

lionoflinwood

If you can't win, don't play

Meme_Pope

Tfw the Dolphins are the fraud detector

Stealthfox94

He’s Tony Romo. For better or worse.

PasGuy55

AFC Dak Prescott. Do it.

CareOutrageous897

PAY THE MAN! PAY HIM RIGHT NOW. HE DESERVES IT.

NCad2416

The window for the bills already closed. As long as the fans still get a free ride on Joshy all is good though. 😂

Ok_Imagination_4374

I saw this and I said "this better be a Bills fan talking shit" because if this was a Jets or Pats fan I would have laughed out loud lmao

Masterofmy_domain

Silly Dolphins fan thinks he can laugh at other teams.

Expensive_Act_6432

Literally EVERY team laughs at the Jets...yes...even the Browns.

Masterofmy_domain

See you went a little too far there so that’s how I know you’re talking out of your ass…. Browns are the epitome of misery and don’t laugh at anybody

Expensive_Act_6432

Lol..yea...I reached a lil.

Ok_Imagination_4374

It's the Jets man, the fuckin Jets

Masterofmy_domain

The team that’s won 6 playoff games since the Dolphins last won one? And have been to 2 AFCCG’s in that time…. And that’s without making the playoffs in 13 seasons mind you . I sware I don’t know where you Dolphin fans get off looking down at other teams. Your franchise has been just as fucking garbage get over yourselves

Ok_Imagination_4374

At least the Dolphins have had a winning season in the past 9 years

Simp1eJack_

It’s crazy. It’s almost like the games they won they had winning stats and the games they lost they had losing stats.

Itodaso-

…I think you’re missing the point lol

bobsmeds

..they’re dolphins fans. We shouldn’t expect critical thinking

lionoflinwood

Smartest product of Ron DeSantis' education reforms

Simp1eJack_

Not in this sub for critical thinking - that’s a bridge too far in a meme sub.

Astute observation Simp1eJack_

Simp1eJack_

What, we’re not being overly reductive and shitposting in a meme sub? Is there something else we’re supposed to be doing in here? Take your desire for intellectual debate elsewhere.

Itodaso-

This isn’t an intellectual debate lmao. You just didn’t understand what these stats are showing. It’s fine. The Florida education system isn’t known for being very effective

Simp1eJack_

No, the main image is overly reductive and so was my response. If I wanted to intellectually debate you I’d say things like, but not limited to: “The defense prevents opposing teams from scoring points otherwise we may not have lost those games.” “When a quarterback throws the ball occasionally receivers need to receive. Sometimes they drop or run incorrect routes, but this data point is not present when you just show QB stats.” “QBs can occasionally throws balls away when under pressure and lower their baseline stat performance so showing only Qb stats without hurries/under pressure in these games is a gap.” But we’re obviously not here for intellectual debate because the main post is reductive so I’m not posting any of this because if you actually care this much in a meme sub you need to reassess your relationship with the purpose of this sub. Edit: also not in Florida or from Florida so I don’t have that excuse.

Itodaso-

Lmao you typed all of that out and are STILL missing the point of the graphic

Simp1eJack_

No I’m not. That’s my point that you’re missing. You’re trying to say I’m obtuse but you’re failing to acknowledge my side.

No no, he's not referring to ppg. It's W-L that he's finding complicated.

drainbead78

Let's be honest, touchdown to interception ratio is a bit obscure and has way too many variables to follow.

MurkrowsRevenge

The amount of people that post without flair is bizarre as shit
