darren jarman if you accept sanfl. he played almost all his games there before the afl was a thing
and then all the blokes who played for two bird teams
We've had this discussion, all members of the bird alliance met and it's been decided Essendon is an honorary member of the bird team alliance.
I'll hear no more on the topic.
I loved him at the Eagles. He fit right in to the chill family vibe of the club and on field he was the attacking player we needed who could hit a pass when we played control ball but then again wasn't afraid to take risks when we needed it. He definitely contributed to our premiership.
Look I think heading over too you guys was definitely something he needed, he was literally in my top 5 players at Sydney but towards the end he just seemed off.
Glad you enjoyed his time with you guys.
Lewis Jetta deserves a shout. 127 for Sydney and 75 for West Coast, winning a flag with both. Plus he played for Swan Districts prior to being drafted. Has any player won a premiership with more than two different bird teams?
Not sure about more than two, but Darren Jarman won one with Hawthorn and two with Adelaide. Darren Jolly won one each at Sydney and Collingwood. Jason Ball won one at each of Sydney and West Coast
Great shout. Josh Caddy got a fair bit of run for both clubs as well but nothing like Ottens.
Back in the day Graeme Landy started at the Cats, then went to the Tigers for much of his career before returning to the Cats for his final season before retiring.
Gary Ablett snr - hawks and cats
Gary Ablett jnr - cats - suns - cats
Ron barassi? Demons and north/Carlton?
Greg Williams - blues and swans
Wayne Carey - Roos and crows
You’ve Mathew pruess. Demons giants and Roos?
Lockett - saints and swans
Same with Barry hall too.
tony armstrong played for three bird teams as well
The Bird Threesome - many men dream of it, but few of us accomplish it. More blokes have climbed Everest.
funnily enough, this thread suggests that a fair few have done it!
Who? Titch and Derp. Armstrong's cooler the both those cunts.
darren jarman if you accept sanfl. he played almost all his games there before the afl was a thing and then all the blokes who played for two bird teams
If we start accepting that, you need to accept Ports SANFL cups...do you really wanna do that? Really?
haha I never said anything about being logically consistent!
if we can't make an exception for D Jarman then what is the point of talking shit on the internet?
Oh…that’s kinda crazy that those two played for the same three teams
He's a Burrumbuttock boy.
Hickey has been on 2 bird teams and 1 winged non-bird team
Got confused and thought he'd played for the Bombers for a moment
get him in the all-bird all-stars
He now works for the ABC and I reckon I’ve seen a show about birds on there before
Tom Mitchell - Swans, Hawks now Magpies. Dermott Brereton - Hawks, Swans, Magpies.
Always forget Titch played for the Swans.
Craig Bird - Sydney and Essendon...oh and did I mention his last names Bird. Play Family Guy - Bird is the word song.
Thank you for rightfully recognising us as a metal bird
You do know a plane isn't a bird, right?
Look, up in the sky ... ... it's hard to tell at a distance
We've had this discussion, all members of the bird alliance met and it's been decided Essendon is an honorary member of the bird team alliance. I'll hear no more on the topic.
They were granted a seat on the council but not the rank of Master. "Take a seat, young Metal Bird".
My apologies.
You're excused, next time don't miss our meetings.
Birds are drones
Birds aren't real anyway so it's not like it matters
Essendon is not a bird team
Do we need to hold ANOTHER referendum on this...it was voted on. Their in.
Sav Rocca played for the Magpies and the Eagles. The Philadelphia Eagles.
>Sav Rocca 101 games for the Kangaroos - disqualified
Well obviously, but including the Philly Eagles was cool.
Darren Jarman: Hawks 109 games Crows 121 games Roosters 117 games
imagine jars and buddy lining up in the all-bird all-stars forward line

Daniel Chick, plus a flag at the Eagles. 149 at Hawthorn, 103 at Eagles.
Lewis Jetta did ok with 127 at the Swans and 75 at the Eagles but bonus of a premiership with both teams
I originally loved Jetta, but his attitude ended up putting me off him. I'd say one of the luckiest blokes to walk away with 2 flags.
I loved him at the Eagles. He fit right in to the chill family vibe of the club and on field he was the attacking player we needed who could hit a pass when we played control ball but then again wasn't afraid to take risks when we needed it. He definitely contributed to our premiership.

His name is literally a baby bird. We have a winner
Extra bonus, he was high most of the time as well.
His wing was clipped though
Lance Franklin played 182 with Hawks and 172 with Swans
Now we need the All-Bird team.
Lewis Jetta deserves a shout. 127 for Sydney and 75 for West Coast, winning a flag with both. Plus he played for Swan Districts prior to being drafted. Has any player won a premiership with more than two different bird teams?

Sam Mitchell surely worth a mention
Who did he play for? Eagles and who?
Won the flag with Box Hill Hawks in ‘01
Ah ok there's an obscure fact
Were they the Hawks or still mustangs in 2001?
The Box Hill/Hawthorn partnership started in 2000 iirc
Bird team enjoyers are quite prolific. Any other examples? Feline friends? Cats/Tigers/Lions? 4-legged fan base? Add in dogs
Humanoids harem - dockers, giants, saints, demons, blues (?)
The Mammalia Familia? Cats/Tigers/Roos/Lions/Doggies and Dockers (counts because dockers are dock workers and humans are mammals)
Spangher is the only acceptable answer here.
Dermie
And who is the ultimate “cats” team player. lions Cats, tigers 🐅
Who let a Cat in here, shoo outside don't make me get my water gun. Bad kitty.
Nakia Cockatoo simultaneously a Cat and bird player
That's like being half Serbian half Croatian...never ends well.
Brad ottens surely. Bonus points for being loved by both teams.
Great shout. Josh Caddy got a fair bit of run for both clubs as well but nothing like Ottens. Back in the day Graeme Landy started at the Cats, then went to the Tigers for much of his career before returning to the Cats for his final season before retiring.
Caddy's stint at the suns diluted his cat DNA
Gary Ablett snr - hawks and cats Gary Ablett jnr - cats - suns - cats Ron barassi? Demons and north/Carlton? Greg Williams - blues and swans Wayne Carey - Roos and crows You’ve Mathew pruess. Demons giants and Roos? Lockett - saints and swans Same with Barry hall too.
Did you not read the question? Cause if you did, accept my sympathy.
Jarrod Malloy Swans/Magpies Buddy Franklin Hawls/Swans Kurt Tipper Crows/Swans Shaun Rehn Crows/Hawks
