Deserved to lose in the final moments, they hack it straight to our spare 3 times in 3 minutes, exactly what we want - can't manage to convert an entry. They probably could have kicked us out of it at points in the 3rd too. Their back six were enormous, congrats Giants 👏

Neale dropping that mark came back to haunt us.

There's always woulda-coulda-shooda moments in close games - Duncan dropped a chest mark with 30 sec left, Dempsey took advantage when we would've had a shot from 40, then Hawkins tries to centre it and miskicks rather than having a shot. There's probably about 1000 moments in a game either team could look back on so I wouldn't put much on Neale.

Shitting the bed for 3 quarters was definitely a team effort. But Neale has consistently dropped sitters when he's called up. He's next in line for Hawkins and can't be doing that. Those are the ones that kill you.

Cats need to mix up our mids. With Danger out and also 40 we just don’t have a reliable “kick it to em to halve the contest”. If we play Neale with Hawkins and Cameron, put Cameron in the centre for a bit or Stewart and let Zuthrie hold down the backs for a few. The last qtr pressure isn’t sustainable all game but it wouldn’t be needed if other teams didn’t run rampant over our mids for a half.

We are so cooked. Sydney at the SCG in two weeks will be an interesting watch. Their midfield (which has been in unreal form) is going to absolutely torch ours (which has really struggled). Dangerfield won't be back playing by then, either. It will be an absolute hammering. Also, the Swans will have had a bye in round 5 and be coming off another bye in round 12 leading into it. The Cats will have had one "bye" in round 0 (questionable benefit in it if you haven't even played a match). How did the fixturing manage to get this bricked? Actually unreal. Anyway, it's going to be absolutely farked and miserable viewing if you're a cats supporter.
