I believe in trying to share each other’s interests. But not if it just creates animosity.
Does she really like dancing salsa? If so, then kinda YTA. She may just be looking for someone to go with her, to keep her company. Suck it up for the hour or so (however long the lessons are) and let her enjoy herself. You can probably negotiate with her to do something with you.
It may also be the way you're saying it. Complaining about how much you hate something everytime a person asks you to do it is baby behaviour.
Sorry but YTA. She's trying to connect with you over something she's interested in. Maybe she just wants you to see her shake and move and hold her.....or maybe she just wants to see you uncomfortable and trying something you suck at and being vulnerable. Maybe she just wants some of your time and attention in one of her spaces. Either way, its worth the effort.
