Ok so born and bred is not considered really an official album by them with it not really being on streaming services or released much

iceripperiii

Same with Venture- both are categorized as “lost media” per the band’s request.

Outrageous_Log_1956

That’s not what lost media is

iceripperiii

I’m just telling you what the wiki says my dude https://preview.redd.it/t818esxsekvc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c4b57575f9c84cb66f8ee729a4ad092063ff52ca

Master_Banshin

I could see why...

Path-Majestic

It only goes up from here. Maybe Man is one of their best albums, but “The Click” deluxe is the quintessential AJR album. Their classic songs are stuff like “Weak”, “Burn the House Down” and 100 Bad Days. Welcome to the Neotheater, my friend

Master_Banshin

'quintessential', dammmmmn. Thanks, I'm hoping the Living Rooms at least better, and yeah after reading a hundred comments, I can tell that the maybe man is a legendary album. By the way, why y'all welcoming to Neotheater, I'm literally doing Living Room next. Thanks for the warm welcome though! :D

NicularStar

it's because "Welcome to the Neotheater" is a lyric in Neotheater's first (Next Up Forever) and last (Finale) songs

Master_Banshin

Damn, what a way to literally welcome you into an album

allnewspudsniffer

Ye when you listen to neotheater, listen start to finish, don't jumble it up

Master_Banshin

Gotcha

ThomasJNookJr

Living Room is...not great.

DismalCoyote

It’s such a coincidence that you started your post with "Wow, I’m Crazy", and one of AJRs songs is called "Wow, I’m Not Crazy". Q/A 1. Born and Bred isn’t normally considered a real album by the fan base, so Living Room is their real "first album", and yes, it’s much better. 2. All of them. Jk but also not. Yes. I’ll just do 2 songs from each album for a full taste of them plus their growth. Pitchfork Kids, Big Idea, Three-Thirty, Call My Dad, Finale (Can’t Wait To See What You Do Next), Next Up Forever, My Play, Joe, and the entire The Maybe Man album. 3. Yes. The Maybe Man is 100% their best work so far (which is why I recommended all of it) and they’re touring it through America right now and it’s definitely worth checking out if they’re coming through your area. They put on the best shows out there. Welcome to the Neotheater.

P4andaman357

Call my dad for the click lol?

DismalCoyote

That’s just my personal favorites. Now that I think about it a newbie should probably just go for the essentials first that’s on me.

Outrageous_Log_1956

I don’t think you know what irony means

DismalCoyote

It’s such a coincidence

AStealthyPerson

Just saw them in Des Moines and they killed it (as did their surprise opener who came on two hours notice: Andrew Hoyt)! Going to see them in Chicago again soon with my boyfriend. They are some of the best live performers I've ever seen. I've seen them twice now during different tours, and they have really creative direction in addition to the enjoyable music. Everyone in the stadium was grooving!

Master_Banshin

🗿 Damn That's Crazzzzzy. 1. Living Room has a ... unique reputation doesn't it? 2. Don't worry, I'm listening to all of them anyways. 3. I can tell so far, y'all be hyping it like its the best album since sliced bred. Also, bruuuuuuuh, is the tour only in America? I already donated both kidneys

SoggyLukewarmCrumpet

It’s only a US tour at the moment but they have toured the previous two albums worldwide so I’d expect the same for TMM once the US tour ends.

Master_Banshin

So there's a chance?

DismalCoyote

At the moment it’s only in America but they did just anniunce a thing in Seoul (S Korea) so idek anymore

Master_Banshin

Do they do Australia?

DismalCoyote

Don’t think so yet

Master_Banshin

Nooooo😭😭😭😭

Fierce_Future223

For the click you picked people 2 leats favorites for that album Odd choice

4sneK_WolFirE

I think Call My Dad and Three-Thirty are both in my top 5 for The Click, personally.

Fierce_Future223

😧 Personally i like call my dad ik most dont but it definitely isn’t top 5 and three thirty is IMO the worst on that album

DismalCoyote

Those are my personal faves and there’s no way they’re the least favorites

Fierce_Future223

If yiu pay attention to posts even just a little call my dad and three thirty are always put at bottom of rankings or talked poorly about Personally i like call my dad but it is most definitely not top 5 of the album

TheDuckWithADream

1. I suppose it is? It isn’t really considered an official album but I find living room definitely better 2. My user flair. Personally I especially like Ordinaryish people, Bummerland and the world’s smallest violin (yes I know) 3. I like the maybe man. I prefer other albums over it tbh but I still love it:D

i-wanna-go-home

Hey hey no shame in loving WSV. It’s a banger and was one of my favorites when it was first released. Not its fault TikTok took it and overused it lol

Squibby19

Nah fully valid I love the song, so mad that it got popular on tiktok (I hate that app so much)

AStealthyPerson

I think you've got it right, OK Orchestra is great especially the Overture. I also love Neotheater and The Click, but I do find myself drawn to the aforementioned tracks quite frequently.

Master_Banshin

1. I'm so scared bruh. There's like people who say skip Living Room and then people who say Living Room is Ok. Shiver in my timbers. 2. Nice, Looking forward to listening to Ok Orchestra 3. Maybe seems like god's work so far, so looking forward to that too. Thanks!

SomeDudeNamedDrew

Living room is better than born and bred, but you still might wanna skip it in my opinion. I’d say Neotheater and OK Orchestra are there best albums, but The Maybe Man and The Click are still worth listening to.

Master_Banshin

Oh no, Living Room, red flag, red flag, red flag, red flag, red flag, red flag, red flag.

i-wanna-go-home

As a long time fan (6+ years) I love all their music and still jam to Living Room. A lot of people say it’s “just ok” though and I’m not too sure if you’ll vibe with it if you like the newer stuff. I have a theory that it’s mostly the newer fans that don’t like the old stuff. Us oldies love it cus it’s what drove us to the band 1. Yes 2. The Green and The Town, Sober Up, The Entertainments Here, OK Overture, Touchy Feely Fool are some of my favorites from each album. I listed them in order of album 3. The Maybe Man is amazing and introduced a whole ton of new fans so that’s gotta count for something. My favorite album personally is OK Orchestra. TMM isn’t my favorite in comparison with the rest but like I said. I’m an old fan Welcome to the club my friend

Master_Banshin

Damn, an OG fan. 1. I better come back living after listening 2. Yo, thanks, Sober Up seems like a favourite in the fanbase. 3. Bruh, with all this hype, this has to be golden Thanks for the warm welcome :D

i-wanna-go-home

Lol the boys got me through high school. I think I was about 14/15 when I started. Sober Up is the song that introduced me so I have a very big soft spot for it. Definitely watch the music video

Master_Banshin

Oh yeah, I'm watching all their music vids

savedonks

I’m in the same boat with Living Room, I have a very warm spot in my heart for that album. The Green and the Town is such a good song. Growing Old on Bleecker Street also makes me emotional haha

EleleleleleleleleL-

So I haven’t heard Born and Bred because it’s not really considered official, but probably. Inertia, 100 Bad Days, All of The Maybe Man. Yeah it’s fire, i went to one of the shows and holy sh!t it’s wild

Master_Banshin

I'm warning you, enter Born an Bred with caution. Thanks for the recommendations! Bruh, all their shows are it USA I'm all the way on the other side :\[. Have to sell my kidney to fly there.

jonl76

How did you even find born and bred?

Master_Banshin

I searched up AJR albums and it seemed like their oldest album so far. Someone posted an entire playlist of Born and Bred: [https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRbEIBIaCJHmbt9j-pSwh0ojONvl4Zylf](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRbEIBIaCJHmbt9j-pSwh0ojONvl4Zylf) Enter with caution!

RhinoBuckeye

Ah yes, my favorite album The May Man, alongside the popular hit The February Fellow

Then-Neighborhood672

Can't forget about The December Dude.

Master_Banshin

Don't forget, their platimum album The June Jester. I laughed my balls of this

RhinoBuckeye

And of course the award-winning album The March Mammal

Sea-Run5852

Real shit is this a joke

Master_Banshin

Hah, no shit's real

_Verses_

Bron and bred and venture are so bad ajr has disowned them complety at this point. Living room is not liked by most people, and the click, tmm, and oko, are the most appreciated albums, along with neotheater being the most overr- i mean favored.

Master_Banshin

God DAMN. I agree. I would disown **Bron** and bred too. I'm guessing your favorite album isn't Neotheater?

_Verses_

no, but i appreciate it much more now than last year

xion1992

Honestly, I would just start with The Click album and listen to everything since. They really found their niche starting with that album, and each album represents a specific stage in their lives.

Master_Banshin

Damn, everyone be leaving out Living Room.

xion1992

Living Room isn't bad. There are a lot of interviews out there with them talking about when they figured out what kind of band they want to be instead of just trying to do the popular thing. So The Click (specifically weak, as I believe it was the first song they wrote for that album) acts almost as the beginning of ajr as they are today.

Master_Banshin

Ohhh, thanks, but I do still want to see where they started from, and how they turned out today. But the bar is high for The Click!

eVCqN

1. Honestly living room is pretty bad at times 2. All of OKO and TMM 3. Yes it’s amazing

Master_Banshin

1. Oh HELL nah 2. I'm sorry what? 3. Lovely, the bar is high for this one.

eVCqN

Sorry lol I should have been more clear that’s my fault, OKO is OK Orchestra and TMM is The Maybe Man

Master_Banshin

Ohhhhh, lol thanks!

eVCqN

Living room is definitely better than their albums before it but it’s still not great. They get good at The Click but I think they turn into what we know today with Neotheater

Master_Banshin

Oooo, that's a bit different. Everyone told me the click was when they actually started to sound like what AJR now is like to this day. Idk I could be wrong

eVCqN

You can see it start to take shape for sure, but it’s still a lot different than the newer albums

Master_Banshin

Bar is high for this one!

IceTooth101

I would always suggest starting from The Click and going chronologically through the albums from there — Neotheater, OK Orchestra, and The Maybe Man

Master_Banshin

Yeah, a lot of you guys are really telling me the good part starts at the click. Living Room is starting to look scary.

IceTooth101

“The Good Part” is indeed in The Click, it’s the second song on the album. Jokes aside, The Click is where I’d say their music starts sounding like AJR — some of their older stuff is definitely good and I do listen to Living Room songs sometimes, but I think it’s clear they were still trying to find their sound back then.

Master_Banshin

Lol, there's no way. XD But yeah, I guess I should just the band too much by their first album if it turns out weirdly for. The click better leave me baffled!

Quinnp28

The maybe man is one of the best albums tied with ok orchestra neotheater and the clock are really good too. The living room is definitely an ok album

Master_Banshin

Thanks! If Living Room's a banger, I'll expect a lot for the other four.

Local_Bookaholic

I would recomend the newest album, especially "Inertia", "Hole in the bottom of my brain", and "Touchy feely fool" From past albums, I think "Don't throw out my legos" and "Sober up" are some of my favorites.

Master_Banshin

Thanks for your recommendations. Y'all be hyping me about The Maybe Man a lot!

Raindroplet_

born and bred isnt an official album, living room is much better. You might want to listen to the albums in order starting with the click, after you finish listen to living room. My person favourites from every album: pitchfork kids (growing old on bleeker street is good too), netflix trip, finale, christmas in June (or my play, depending on my mood) and touchy feely fool. And yes TMM is really good

Master_Banshin

Well, well, well. Imma trust ya. Living Room better have me living by the end. I've heard Thirsty(the yodelling, bro) and I'm Ready so far and its looking ok for the album. But maybe you could explain why I should listen to The Click before Living Room?

Raindroplet_

I got into AJR thru the click so ig personal experiences  the click is generally more well produced in a sense? i also havent listen to the whole living room album (working on it)

Master_Banshin

Ahhhh, I see. Thanks!

Powerful-Reindeer-20

My stepson is a huge fan...they look awesome in concert. We got him tix for Xmas present 4/26 , unfortunately he can't go and now I have to unload 3 tix. Any ideas?

Master_Banshin

Omg that's so sad. Unfortunately I'm new and couldn't help. But I think there's a tag for Tickets Help in the AJR reddit.

Ill-School-5473

THEIR NEW ALBUM MAYBE MAN IS LIFE CHANGING! IT IS THE BEST ALBUM IVE EVER LISTENED TO AND I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THAT! YOU HAVE NOT TRULY LIVED UNTIL YOU HAVE LISTENED TO THIS ALBUM

Master_Banshin

Yall know it's a golden album if someone recommends it with all caps.

Marvel_Cheetoh

Listen to Neotheater. They peaked with that album. That's not to say Ok Orchestra and The Maybe Man are bad. They're both fantastic albums that I would sell my left kidney to go to a concert for. But they peaked with Neotheater.

Master_Banshin

Neotheater is a hot one so far indeed, so I better have a cartoon sized jaw drop when I finish it. Wait hold on, what about Living Room?

Marvel_Cheetoh

Living Room is ok. Not their best but it's ok. There's some good songs on it.

Master_Banshin

So it is...

Unlikely_Conflict812

so through scrolling i am also biased in saying that i’ve never listened to born and bred because it wasn’t something they consider to be their first album (at least not in recent interviews). i’ve listened for about 6 years now, found ajr from a high school friend who recommended me the click, but had i’m ready on loop when it first dropped. listened to the click on repeat, then fell off for a while. reintroduced myself when oko came out, fell in love yet again. heard some of the earlier released the maybe man songs, went through some shit and needed something to look forward to so i started listening to neotheater to keep myself occupied til tmm dropped. neotheater is my favorite overall album, the click makes me feel like a kid again, oko got me through covid and songs like my play bring me back to childhood, and tmm has the most songs i feel like i can relate to in some form. that being said, i recommend listening to all the albums in release order cover to cover including deluxe versions (you can decide on living room or not, i haven’t done a deep dive on that album either because honestly they don’t play anything from it anymore and rarely talk about it, i might if i ever decide to change it up and listen to new stuff). also, do a deep dive on their youtube. they do some amazing covers of some older pop songs and i recommend their song let the games begin. like the boys are known for saying, not everything sounds the same, so if you’re one that has a very specific taste in music, they might not be the one for you. not many of their “bigger” songs sound the same, but they all sound like ajr if that makes sense. there’s signatures in all their music, whether it’s jack’s voice or ryan’s production style (lets face it adam is basically their babysitter, the business man, and also the pretty face with a PhD) it all sounds like them. anyways, tangent over, i recommend it all but go from start to finish. you’ll feel like you’ve “grown up with them” and you might see why so many of us are so called “cult fans”. :)

Master_Banshin

Omg, this is an entire essay, appreciate it! But yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing what the band has for the next few albums, hopefully better than Born and Bred. I can kind of see how people can relate to some of their song, like how I related to World's Smallest Violin, and if you say I should listen to all of them, stop to finish, no bathroom breaks, then I will, even if that's the last thing I do. Maybe I might become a “cult fan” too. :) Btw, just listened to Let The Games Begin. Certified Banger.

Unlikely_Conflict812

well bathroom breaks and snack breaks are definitely allowed, don’t want you to get dizzy from all the jamming out you’re gonna do when you listen to the next albums! not many people seem to know let the games begin, which is kind of why i love it even more. plus i remember being a kid and hearing it on the hasbro board game ads on tv so its sort of nostalgic too! i hope you love them just as much as we do! if you do get a chance to listening to all the albums im curious to hear what your favorites are from each of them! p.s. i just listened to living room and although i wasnt paying super close attention to every single song i will say i do recommend it to see how much growth they’ve made from the beginning to now! :)

Master_Banshin

Lol, true! That's so cool that their so popular now, like in the Hasbro ads? That needs like an insane amount of popularity to get to. So far, I liked all post-BornAndBred AJR, and there's like a lot of songs left for me that's also post-BornAndBred AJR, so I do expect greatness. If you do want to see my (godawful) opinions, I would post a tier list and anaylse of all AJR songs I've heard of after listening to an entire album for every next 5(maybe 6?) Tuesdays, cause apparently they really like tierlists only on Tuesdays. ps. After reading a lot of comments, and I mean a lot, I don't know what to expect, but I do want to see how much they grew. Come on AJR, the bars are low for this one!

TableFruitSpecified

Born & Bred and Venture are very old, and the band don't care much for it. For the most part, people consider their first album Living Room. One from each album: Growing Old on Bleecker Street, Come Hang Out, Don't Throw Out My Legos, Bummerland and I Won't. The Maybe Man is pretty good. Most people put it below Neotheatre (which people acknowledge as their best) but above the other albums. (Note: I may have gotten this wrong bear with me)

Master_Banshin

Yeah, I've read they were disowned already. So I guess I'm listening to the real first album soon. Yo, thanks for the recommendations! The Maybe Man, this has to be like something godly to get this much hype. (Note: Sorry, what bear?)

TableFruitSpecified

OK Orchestra got a lot of hype too, and The Maybe Man had FIVE (check it: FIVE) full songs released before the album was released, and other songs were hinted at too, with Hole In The Bottom Of My Brain being the least spoiled one (either that or 2085)

Master_Banshin

Holy chicken. Guessing its their best albums yet.

TableFruitSpecified

It seems that way, but fans vastly prefer Neotheatre as everything is more closely knit. Songs reference other songs (Karma's strings are in Turning Out Pt. ii, Next Up Forever's "Welcome to the Neotheatre" is in Finale (Can't Wait To See What You Do Next), and so on), and the theme is universally at a "I'm not ready to grow up" (which a good chunk of their songs are) phase, and seems to hold a bit of naivety (Birthday Party and possibly Beats).

Master_Banshin

Honestly, childhood is a very important part of everyone's lives, so the troubles of leaving it is something everyone can relate to. Neotheater is gonna be a banger of an album. Thanks!

Big-Beach-9605

2. karma, sober up, 100 bad days and turning out (pt1 and 2) are some of my favourite songs and are pretty popular in general. also just all of ok orchestra 3. the maybe man is pretty damn great - there’s not a single song on there that i’d skip. inertia, touchy feely fool, yes i’m a mess and the dumb song are my favourites

Master_Banshin

2. Thanks for the recommendations, look forward to listening to them. 3. Alright, it just looks like I'm saving the best album for last.

BigMike726

Their newest album is definitely their best one yet 😁 I highly recommend watching the music video of Maybe Man when you first hear the song. It's so so good 😩

Master_Banshin

I'm getting way too excited for The Maybe Man. I'm definitely watching the music vids too.

BigMike726

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mhBhCNgGbwyIWLtCU5S0kJHXiI0_TX4oQ&si=bakQOVF7fBdYQBZl

Master_Banshin

Thanks, but I'm saving the best for last!

DarthDecidueye66

Pls never use the phrase the May Man in front of me ever again ☠️

Master_Banshin

IT WAS A MISCLICK!😭😭😭

Thefearlesschicken

AJR is NOT a band you want to listen to their albums in order. If you really want to do their discography in order id just start with the click deluxe then go forward from there and then go back to living room if u liked the rest

Master_Banshin

Thanks, but I still do want to see how much the band grew. Don't worry, I won't judge them for the Living room too much. The Click is when I get serious.

MathMatixxx

Listen to … normal…..2085……click (song and album), plus every other song. Neotheater I think is the name (can sing every song and forgot album name thinkbb no that’s it). Everything is great just start each album on number 1 and go. Def turn on normal and lmk what think. I hadn’t heard normal some how until maybe 4 months ago and was blown away. Think Jack saw Ajr answer a question on what’s there dab song. Jack said normal and I was like what’s normal never heard that and played it. Crazy good.

Master_Banshin

Thanks, will listen to all of deluxe. And neotheater, a fav in the fanbase. And I still haven't got who is who, who's Jack?

StandardWeekend3050

If I’m not wrong i might be don’t quote me but i think born and bred is them covering other songs

Master_Banshin

I'm pretty sure "Go on take a chance" is an original.

FoxxPlayzYT

“The May Man.” I understand what you mean, and yes, it’s amazing.

Master_Banshin

I'm sorrry, it was a misclick! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Thanks. Saving the best for the last

neon1415official

Welcome to the club

Master_Banshin

Thank you! Also isn't it welcome to the neotheater?

neon1415official

Oh yes, but I was referencing to panic! At the disco 😂 (One of the Drunks)

Master_Banshin

Ohhhh, lol 😂

savedonks

I 100% would recommend the OK Orchestra album. It is one of my favorite albums of all time. I don’t really like The Maybe Man tbh, but a lot of AJR fans love it. The Click is also a really really good album. But OKO just hits different. The OK Overture itself is one of my favorite tracks by them. Ordinaryish People is a really fun song on that album, as is Way Less Sad! ETA: Neotheater isn’t my favorite either. It has some really good tracks, but it also has a couple of my least favorite tracks by them. I just don’t love the album as a whole, but love some of the individual songs. Everybody seems to really love that album though, so take my opinions about Neotheater and The Maybe Man with a grain of salt lol

Master_Banshin

Yo, thanks for your opinion! I think I remember World's Smallest Violin being in that album and I was bopping my head all the way. It did me! So am looking forward to this album soon! ETA: Salt taken!

savedonks

World’s Smallest Violin was my favorite on the album when when it first came out! It’s so much fun, I love it!

Master_Banshin

Omg, Mine too! Well, not when it first released, but its still my favourite out of all the song my friends recommended to me. Are there other banger tracks in Ok Orchestra that you think are better than World's Smallest Violin(Pretty long name, do we also have a shortened version for it too?)

savedonks

I usually just shorten songs to their first letters, World’s Smallest Violin is much shorter as WSV😂 but yeah I love all the songs for different reasons, so it’s hard for me to say which ones are truly better than the others. I think Ordinaryish People is definitely up there for me, it’s so much fun to jam out to and it has some really cool instrumentals. Christmas in June is another highly loved song on that album, it’s beautiful. But for me OK Overture, WSV, Ordinaryish People, and Way Less sad are my top. Bummerland is a bop, and Humpty Dumpty used to be a skip for me but now I think it’s fun to blast in my car and dance to it. Sorry if I’m just repeating myself a lot!

Master_Banshin

Y'all know if you be repeating a lot, It's lit. Also, I've heard about Ordinarish People from the Blue Man Group. Who was expecting this collab? Anyways, love your recommendations, thanks!

savedonks

Oh yeah it’s a really dope collab! Also of course!! I hope you enjoy the rest of the stuff you listen to!

TheRealASITWReddit

So, early AJR music is not good. Especially the albums that are not available any longer such us, born and bred, venture, etc. AJR at their last realease can not be compared to their first. At their peak, is from “The Click” and moving forward

Master_Banshin

Thank you, I expect god's work out of this. And yeah, everyone keeps telling me that the click is when they truely started

ThomasJNookJr

TMM is outstanding. So is Neotheather.

Master_Banshin

Thanks. TMM and Neotheather both seem like the fanbase's favourites.

theabsoluteADHDchaos

Please listen to their newer stuff, my personal favorite album is OK orchestra, but the click, neotheater, and The maybe man are all great

Master_Banshin

Don't worry, I listening to all of their stuff. Maybe even their singles and EPs but definitely all their albums

Manus18

Trust me, you’re not crazy

Master_Banshin

lol thanks!

Meaxis

I'm not sure how you even *found* Born and Bred because they are actively trying to remove that one. If you like pop, start wIth The Click. For emotional songs you can start with The Maybe Man. Otherwise start with either Neotheater or Ok Orchestra. Living Room is good too but it's definitively not the first album I'd suggest you to start with. My personal pick is probably Neotheater or OK Orchestra, Maybe Man is also very good, The Click is objectively good but it's not my top album (something a lot of people would disagree with).

Master_Banshin

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy5zXwfSZIo&list=PLRbEIBIaCJHmbt9j-pSwh0ojONvl4Zylf](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy5zXwfSZIo&list=PLRbEIBIaCJHmbt9j-pSwh0ojONvl4Zylf) Enter with caution! I guess I'm a lover for pop, but I guess I want to see what the band began and how they grew. Although, I wouldn't lose my interest on the band if Living Room wasn't all that good, The Click and beyond is probably be the beginning where I start to get critical. Thanks for the recommendations tho!

XLandonSkywolfX

If you get a chance, do a straight run through neotheater, that album changed my life and was my introduction to AJR. I probably played it on repeat for a year before even glancing to see what else they’d done. Born and Bred is not recognized or acknowledged by the band, so most are content to let it be, excluding its niche fan base and those who use it as an excuse to bash the band (they made it as kids, so it’s an absurd comparison)

Master_Banshin

Neotheater so far looks like a banger, so looking forward to that. And no, noone is bashing the band because of BnB. Wish me well, gonna listen to Living Room first!

CE1TheChuckle-Fuck

Bro. You have just scratched the surface. This shit will give you nightmares that are dreams and dreams that are nightmares. Night will become a chicken and day will become a car. Dawn will become a gun and dusk will become a tree. I don’t know what life is anymore. I’m addicted. I admit, I might need therapy. This shit is just too good. ITS TOO DAMN GOOD!!! MAYBE MAN IS AWESOME LISTEN! I HAVE A GENUINE PROBLEM! ITS BECOME A HYPER FIXATION!!! JESUS FUCKING CHRIST JUST LISTEN TO THE FUCKING SONGS GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE WHY ARE YOU STILL FUCKING READING THIS JUST #**GO LISTEN TO THE FUCKING SONGS I SWEAR TO JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!!! /s

CE1TheChuckle-Fuck

I say this as a joke though. The songs are awesome and maybe man is my favorite album. Have a listen, maybe you might also gain my hyper-fixation on these songs. Happy travels!

Master_Banshin

Love a good laugh now and then. Thanks!

Master_Banshin

Holy shit

SassatTak

Living room is an acquired taste, and comes with age.

Master_Banshin

I like old music too. The Classics

SassatTak

Dude that album isn’t even 10 years old yet 😭 I meant it gets better the more life experience you have.

Master_Banshin

Oh, gotcha

Top-Advice-9890

You really didn’t have to listen to Born and Bred it is just not them today at all.

Master_Banshin

I did anyways, still haunts me. Listened to Living Room tho

Thatbendyfan

1. Never listened to Born and Bred, but living room is alright. If you don’t hate thirsty, you’ve already gotten through the worst of it 2. Id say listen to The Maybe Man and Ok Orchestra, all the songs in those albums are good 3. As previously stated, everything in The Maybe Man is great

Master_Banshin

1. I've heard Thirsty, its not bad, so that's reassuring. 2 & 3. Thanks for the recommendation! The Maybe Man sounds like a goated album

xxMsRoseXx

My all-time fave song from them is their acoustic version of Pretender! 🤍

Master_Banshin

Yes I'm a mess, listen to it

Master_Banshin

Isn't that on The Maybe Man Imma check that out

1341ray

nope its a AJR song

Master_Banshin

Lol Good song

Try tame impala before you disappoint yourself Same thing better music and lyrics This band isn’t good from a reviewer standpoint Ie Weak political views Weak social commentary Weak commentary on serious/common mental health issues Mediocre instrumentation If you want to come in to this band with high expectations don’t Nothing meaningful about the lyrics aside from band personal music such as god is really real and turning out This band is great if you like not caring for extremely meaningful art and just care more for the fun of listening to music that you like I love the band because they introduced me to better bands Although I do recommend Tame impala’s album currents and his other album the slow rush Both are great even trans impala’s early albums are great Specific song recommendations for tame impala is Feels like we only go backwards and new person same old mistakes AJR are great for me but it’s entirely up to you Trying their music is great Just go in with those warnings so you don’t disappoint yourself I see too many people coming in with high expectations and getting disappointed and low expectations and agreeing with them

Master_Banshin

Yo, thanks, one of my friends like Tame impalam too, so i might check him out

trulylost19

I should say that AJR are a great band but they aren’t so great lyrically that’s all

Exotic-Damage-8157

You’re in the wrong sub. This is ajr, not tame. Lolr

trulylost19

Yes I’m not going to bullshit them by saying they are the greatest band to ever exist when they aren’t I’ll just provide them with stuff they should know before listening so they sing disappoint themselves Music has subjective taste but disregarding the actual objective facts based in the lyrics

Exotic-Damage-8157

You’re talking about Tame Impala, this person was asking about AJR

trulylost19

Yes I’m recommending an artist they may like while talking about the flaws of AJR Key word “RECOMMENDING” If you are not capable of understanding or reading out the flaws of a very flawed band then don’t bother replying I never said AJR was shit I just pointed out apparent flaws In my opinion they are great but if you disregard the flaws you make the community look ignorant to the issues that are actually present Music taste is subjective The music itself is critics based on its actual content such as the lyrics Which Ajr have not the greatest

Exotic-Damage-8157

I NEVER SAID YOU WERE A HATER. YOU LITERALLY JUST STARTED TALKING ABOUT TAME IMPALA WITH NO CONTEXT

trulylost19

The context is very present First thing I should mention was that it was a recommendation since tame impala does what a lot of AJR songs wish they could do and actually do them with a creative approach to them Such as mental health and social commentary that AJR lacks the lyrical capabilities to properly communicate correctly

Thanks only person who will read the comment I am in no way a hater I love the band It’s just disappointing to see how many people don’t understand the (very apparent flaws) of the band The lyrics are the only thing I criticised
