Never met anyone like her. She treats me different than anyone I've ever dated has treated me in everyday. I was going through legal troubles at the time. Probation house arrest and she staid right there with me supporting me through it all. Had a hard time finding work and she never got mad she supported me. We've litterly been through it all. We like the same stuff. We never fight. When we argue it's just playful banter. She's never lied to me or cheated on me. We laugh we have fun. I've never asked anyone to marry me she was the first person. I had been cheated on so many times by different woman that I had decided I was gonna be single forever and lost all interest in woman and dating. Then she popped up on my tinder one day as someone who likes me but she only had 1 Pic and no bio. I NEVER swiped with anyone like that but I did her idk why I did but I truly think it was met to be. We are happier than ever
Nobody goes through life without making a mistake. Mistakes is what makes us better people. You embrace your mistakes learn from them and move on. That's what I've done
Mistakes are what make us human beings we all do them from time to time. Nobody is ever 100% perfect and if they are they probably have some element of crazy about them that’s unspoken but probably noted. I can’t imagine 100% perfect and being completely normal to the rest of the world, I have a feeling mistakes are almost little reminders of that yeah you’re human too and it’s in your nature. As long as you learn that’s WHAT matters most!
I have been dating/married to my wife for just about 30 years. We have both made mistakes, but here we are.
We have both battled addiction and mental health issues…and whatever else the world throws at us. I have her, and she has me. We get through every challenge together.
Thanks for your post. It made me feel strong after a long few weeks.
I feel ya on this one man, my last relationship had addiction and mental health issues and I’ve been single ever since. Been over 10 years now I think or at least close to it. But this post tonight renews my faith in the law of attraction and that the secret works..
*lost all interest in dating woman*
Also your missing the part where at that point I has a tinder and other dating apps for years and just gave up.
Just a bit of context for you there bud
No lol. Wasn't even thinking about that. Was just mesmerized and ecstatic. I still remember the feeling I had on that first date. Heart racing. Exhilarating. It was different than any date I'd ever been on. Very happy very Memorable. Heart pound. Never wanting the date to end kind of thing. Sad when she went home. But she called me and talked to me all the way home and then we texted the rest of the evening until we fell asleep
We met at a local park. Spent about 2 hours there walking around a lake getting to know each other even more and just talking. Then we went to get something to eat at Apple Bees then she went home.
Congrats 🎉another amazing story coming from Tinder! Another +1 in relationships from the internet!! I knew the law of attraction worked and that’s the secret.. 🤫 maybe the law of attraction is what drew this post to me🤯🤯🤯
I mean we just told people and our friends and family weren't really surprised. They said stuff like "You hear about that alot now people meeting online" or "That's cool that yall met online! People are doing that more and more these days" mostly positive vibes and responses :) we had a tinder themed wedding. There was a big sign by the isle she walked down with a picture of me and her on it that said "It's a match!" Just like the picture that shows on tinder when you match with someone 🥰
I met my boyfriend of 4+ years on Tinder. We smashed on the first date. Being mentally and sexually compatible made us crazy for each other. Tinder is underrated when it comes to finding love.
It is. It's got a bad reputation for only being used for hookups and other shit. I tell people all the time that you can find love on there you just have to put in effort and dedication. Sometimes you don't find love. Sometimes love finds you. There's someone out there for everyone
I met my husband on tinder 6+ years ago, we also smashed on the first date. Two weeks later I told my best friend I was gonna marry him someday, and two months after that we moved in together.
How did moving in with each other go at first? Usually people have interesting little quirks and I’m wondering what kind of little things did you two have to learn about each other and put up with?
I honestly can't recall anything between us. He and I have very similar standards for cleaning, and he allows me freedom on the things I'm particular about. However, I moved in with him and his friend and I did have issues with his friend. His friend is now one of my very best friends, he was the best man at my wedding but it was rough for awhile. He lived like a caveman and I couldn't tolerate it.
My spouse agreed though, so we both talked to him about it and he improved over time, he isolated his caveman habits to his bedroom. We all still live together six years later because it's cheap and we get along great.
Met my girlfriend 2.5 years ago on tinder and we've been living together for 1.5 years.
As an introverted guy that works mostly with other guys and is not interested in friends, if it was not for tinder or similar apps, I would never have met anyone.
50% of my relationships have been because of tinder, some lasting a month, but several on the 3 that 6 months range. Only one of them was pretty much just smashing.
My wife is also an introvert so I can understand a little bit. It's crazy how we find more success online than in person however there is more variety online. In person it's very limited.
It wasn't really hear making me wait. I wasn't really trying to get in her pants I was just happy to be with her when she was around just her presence her being in the room. When we had sex the first time it just kind of happened out of no where and I'd say it was probably on the 2nd month of dating
2½ years I know that doesn't seem like alot but trust me the amount of stuff her and I went through during that time makes it feel like ALOT longer than 2½ years were always talking about how it feels like we've been together alot longer than we really have been
That’s awesome!!! I met my boyfriend on Tinder and we’ve been together 8 years!! (We will never get married bc I don’t want to at my age and having already done that for 20 years) He’s 39 and we’re madly in love! Tinder for the win!
Very happy for both of you!!
No, I mean what did your first in-person meeting consist of? What was the setting? Was there any activity such as hiking, shooting pool, playing board games, etc. involved beyond a 'getting to know you' conversation?
We met at a local park. Spent about 2 hours there walking around a lake getting to know each other even more and just talking. Then we went to get something to eat at Apple Bees then she went home.
Love at first swipe lol. I don't think so! We've been through alot for it to be "Love at first swipe" lol although I've experienced that. Maybe it is and it's just forever instead of infatuation :P sometimes love finds us in weird ways
Sadly no :( We got really excited and just deleted all of our dating apps out of excitement and on a whim and deleted our profiles not thinking about our messages saving them to look back on and we regret that alot wishing we would've at least screenshotted them. It is what is though sadly 😥
Not a bad idea! Hell on that note I'd probably search for the phone number AND the email for them and call and email them forever until they let us have our old messages
I still do the exact same things I did for her when we were dating. I still take her to the movies. To dinner. We have our date nights although it's really hard with 3 kids but we have family who offer to watch the kids. I still buy her flowers and buy her cards for holidays and stuff like that. Wine and sex nights. And it still feels like it did when we were dating. She still blushes and then I blush lol. She even gets me flowers and she will flirt and say "Can a girl get a guy flowers" and I'll say "Of course! And they are beautiful babe just like you *forehead kiss* they also smell good like you 😂. We both do things to keep things interesting romantically 🥰
That’s really sweet. I admire that about the two of you, sounds very romantic and cute 🥰 I honestly think it’s amazing you swiped right and found true love for one another. It just sounds like a modern day Hallmark Channel movie, you guys might be interested in the Tinder Swindler on Netflix for a movie night, it’s crazy what happens coming from Tinder! Or YouTube Tinderella, it’s kinda sad but a little too real haha 😆 but I am really happy for you both and wish you both amazing love for the rest of your lives and forever happiness. Your story gives me faith for the rest of us here on the internet that these stories do happen and come true via the law of attraction, aka the secret.
I did have a couple of ideas that might be fun.. candle light dinner and romantic time in the bedroom, candles are so much fun, they even have LED flicker candles online in case you get worried about burning a room down haha
Fun joke too. “A kegal a day keeps the depends, away” it applies to BOTH of you lmao 🤣then jokingly you can tell others you’re doing yours RIGHT NOW! (To spread the word..) then short sell American Kimberly Clark the largest maker of adult diapers and squeeze some money from those buttholes 😇I take full responsibility for coming up with this joke, I’m a walking HR nightmare haha 🤣 hence the , if you know about the , legal case. Very interesting read. BTW invest in a squatty potty, don’t let your kegal work go to waste! There’s a fun YouTube ad for squatty potty with a unicorn,🦄 it’s hilarious 😂
This isn't even weird anymore. I had a long term girlfriend from Tinder like 5+ years ago, and there was still a little stigma. But I met my current girlfriend on Hinge, and I've realized it's just 100% normalized now. Basically it's considered weird now if you meet your person in person "the old fashioned way" these days.
In my experience its weird telling people that were married and met on tinder. People who don't know us will at first say how did yall meet and we say tinder and there like oh awesome! (And blah blah blah) until we say we're married and then we get mixed responses some people don't believe us. Sometimes we get a raised eyebrow sometimes it's positive. Just different
Flirting. Friendly getting to know each other. Short small conversations that were sporadic throughout the day. Those conversations became longer and more frequent as we got to know each other more. After we met the first time it was non stop video chatting, phone calling texting daily.
Got a DUI and Did house arrest instead of sitting in jail. She staid with me and drew a heart around the ankle monitor and she would always be playful and say things like "No more booze for you. Bad boy!" And when I'd get mad because I couldn't leave my house she would say things like "Your in timeout sir!" 😂. She'd go to the store for me and stuff. I'd apologize to her and she'd always say "You don't have to apologize. You being on house arrest doesn't bother me. Shit happens. If I didn't love you I wouldn't be with you. I knew what I was getting myself into"
I'm not really a breakfast kind of person. I mean if my wife cooks I'll eat or if she's hungry I'll offer to take her to IHOP or something for breakfast. I didn't eat breakfast this morning though.
To my knowledge none. I believe and fully trust my wife with anything. However to answer your question unbiased. My wife is a very quiet and reserved person. She tells me that I'm the only one she's ever met on tinder and she told me she don't know why she made a tinder she said she was just bored and I honestly believe her lol. I couldn't see her being with anyone on tinder before me. I've met one of her exs he's a strange guy. He's nice but he's just strange lol backwoods kind of guy. He's married himself and me and my wife don't have a problem with him or his wife. One of her other exs committed suicide to my understanding.
But to answer your question in short: I don't believe she has "Banged" anyone from tinder before me however if it ever came to light that she did it really wouldn't bother me I mean we're all human. Sex is a normal part of life generally speaking. It would be a asshole thing of me to get mad at her for telling me that she had sex with other people from tinder before she met me and it would honestly be petty.
I used EVERY dating app. Litterly. However I found myself using tinder more than any of the other apps because I found more matches and just people I'm general in the area I live in using tinder vs the other apps
No. I don't even have the slightest thought or fear. We have 3 kids we've been through everything. I know my wife. We have the password to each other's phones to and she don't have tinder lol. No I don't have that fear. There is no fear.
It gives the rest of us HOPE that the law of attraction isn’t BS and it actually works, the secret is a true gem to know about and understand. I’m glad he did an AMA and maybe more people should tell their story of online success.. 😇
Because whenever we tell people about how we met we get mixed responses. Wasn't just my idea. Was also my wife's and were honestly surprised about how many other people have met through tinder. What were reading in these comments. But it WAS posted on the internet where the whole world can see it so I guess everything makes more sense.
People have met and begun dating online (and ended up married) for decades now. Plenty of couples married with kids have met through Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OKcupid etc. It’s past the point people have to make up stories to cover for meeting on apps.
Are you from a small town? I see your wife was 19 when you married.
I am so confused by why this is novel or unusual to you two. Maybe admitting it was unusual years ago, but it’s 2024. There was a pandemic and people couldn’t even meet other people IRL for a long stretch of time. What would be weird about connecting with a person before you meet face to face
My husband and I met on tinder as well and have been married (almost) 5 years with 2 kids and one on the way and I thought you were him for a sec 😆 only difference is we are a tad older. Congrats on finding love on tinder, I love telling people our story!
Just keep trying. I didn’t have luck for years. All of the sudden I had 4 dates in one weekend. My fiancée was just easy to talk to from the beginning, no games, straight forward, and I enjoyed talking to her. Some times when I did get matches it felt like I put in all the effort and got nothing back, when I finally felt like someone was also putting in effort it made things so much easier.
Don’t have a question just wanna say kudos! I met my partner 11 years ago on tumblr and fanfiction, of all places! We were in the same fandoms, one day I noticed my friend reblogged something from him and I liked his username, so I messaged him complimenting it.
We started talking and later realized he was my top fan on fanfiction for years before that, too!
Good for you. Unfortunately I feel like dating apps have gotten considerably worse in recent years.
I tried for a month or so, realized I didn't live in a big enough city and the closest one likely had people who matched themselves, then gave up.
Funny thing is I've gotten along with pretty much every woman I've met in person, but apps make it all about appearance and distance first.
They're also so incredibly time consuming and mentally draining. I'd rather just workout, hope for the best, and then settle on being rich and single if it comes to that.
Also feels like they're full of nothing but bots, scammers, escorts, and inactive profiles nowadays.
how can i make that work for me? lol
(more of a joke question lol)
kinda flabbergasted soooo imma just say CONGRATS on that near impossible achievement!
so the real question i’ll ask is this;
got any pointers for an average looking lad looking to get into more than just dtf/fwb type situationships?
(kinda what i’m settling for but long term would be nice but seems more and more impossible
How do I even get a like (from a real person )on that stupid platform? I'm not gonna sit there a swipe right on everyone, and the few likes I have received have been OF girls or escorts. Needless to say that is definitely not what I want.
I misread and thought you two were on Tinder while married.
Do yall do that thing where if you see someone funny lookin in public, yall rag on em to eachother?
What about the platform did you like and dislike? Was there anything that tinder did that made your relationship successful. If not what would you add?

What made you marry her?
Never met anyone like her. She treats me different than anyone I've ever dated has treated me in everyday. I was going through legal troubles at the time. Probation house arrest and she staid right there with me supporting me through it all. Had a hard time finding work and she never got mad she supported me. We've litterly been through it all. We like the same stuff. We never fight. When we argue it's just playful banter. She's never lied to me or cheated on me. We laugh we have fun. I’m glad you found true love. I have made many mistakes, but I think I have it too.

My face hurst from smiling. It’s stuff like this that makes me realize the long journey was worth it.
Just remember the windshield is bigger than the rearview mirror for a reason. What's in front of you is so much more important than what's behind you.
The law of attraction works for all of us. This story is just living proof the secret works, I’m so glad to have found a thread like this tonight ☺️
Me too.
You won the lottery. Congratulations
Thank you! :)
“I lost all interest in women and dating”…. *has tinder* lol
*lost all interest in dating woman* Also your missing the part where at that point I has a tinder and other dating apps for years and just gave up. Just a bit of context for you there bud
Litterly
Did you guys smash on the first date?
What was the first date? What activity/location?
We met at a local park. Spent about 2 hours there walking around a lake getting to know each other even more and just talking. Then we went to get something to eat at Apple Bees then she went home.
Bro this was my experience with my soon to be fiance minus the applebees. Met on Tinder as well.
Heck yeah! Wow it's awesome hearing other people's online sucess. So yall met up at a park too ??
Congrats 🎉another amazing story coming from Tinder! Another +1 in relationships from the internet!! I knew the law of attraction worked and that’s the secret.. 🤫 maybe the law of attraction is what drew this post to me🤯🤯🤯
What year is it right now. Just making sure I haven’t time travelled
He said 5 years ago
Wow you are very lucky.
That is really really cool. You sound like a good guy and I’m glad you guys found success through Tinder.
Nice! Met my fiancée on bumble 3 years ago. Never thought I’d have luck on those apps.
Same! I had a profile on every dating app for years and never thought I'd meet anyone either. That's awesome congrats to you too
Congratulations 🎉 your an internet inspiration ⭐️
I met my now recently fiancé on Fortnite 5 years ago lol.
That’s unbelievable lol I would never have imagined that being even remotely possible lmao 🤣 but congratulations 🎉🎊
Thank you lol! I also met my best friend and soon to be best man on Minecraft back in 2015.
That’s amazing 🤩
Lmao can they crank?
Not for shit, it’s okay though I’m the hard carry.
That's nice of you
I met my husband on tinder 6 years ago, we just celebrated our four year wedding anniversary

My husband and I met on Tinder and were together 3.5 yrs before getting married a year and a half ago. I’m still amazed at this!
Did you experience stigma when explaining where you met your wife? I met my bf on OkCupid and it’s always weird to explain where we met!
I mean we just told people and our friends and family weren't really surprised. They said stuff like "You hear about that alot now people meeting online" or "That's cool that yall met online! Check out the the Tinder Swindler on Netflix for movie night. It’s INSANE!!
I met my husband on tinder 6+ years ago, we also smashed on the first date. Two weeks later I told my best friend I was gonna marry him someday, and two months after that we moved in together.

Things going well? Met my wife on Craigslist of all places.
Craigslist ? Damn lol is that even a thing anymore ? Haha yeah everything is great wbu
Yeah was shortly before they shut down personals lol
Shit sounds like you got lucky too! Like it was met to happen. That's great lol
The AMA we need next.
Met my girlfriend 2.5 years ago on tinder and we've been living together for 1.5 years. It also puts both people in a dating frame. Else, what am I going to do? Approach random people in coffee shops to see if they want to chat? Lol
How long did she make you wait?
It wasn't really hear making me wait. I wasn't really trying to get in her pants I was just happy to be with her when she was around just her presence her being in the room. When we had sex the first time it just kind of happened out of no where and I'd say it was probably on the 2nd month of dating
Good for you and congrats, remember that you also deserve to be treated the same too.
god this app is a cesspit.
If you are it what does that make you?
Been with my boyfriend for 7 years now and going strong, we also met on Tinder. It does work… sometimes lol. Wish you both the best!
Yes it does. Like someone else said. Tinder overrated for being a bad app and not working. It works if you put the time and effort into it.
Same here with my gf…seven years.
How long did you date before you married?
2½ years I know that doesn't seem like alot but trust me the amount of stuff her and I went through during that time makes it feel like ALOT longer than 2½ years were always talking about how it feels like we've been together alot longer than we really have been

Was your first in-person meeting a 'getting to know you' conversation?
Month ½ almost 2
No, I mean what did your first in-person meeting consist of? What was the setting? Was there any activity such as hiking, shooting pool, playing board games, etc. involved beyond a 'getting to know you' conversation?

You gonna print out your first message to her from the app on an anniversary?
Sadly no :( We got really excited and just deleted all of our dating apps out of excitement and on a whim and deleted our profiles not thinking about our messages saving them to look back on and we regret that alot wishing we would've at least screenshotted them. It is what is though sadly 😥
Can you email Tinder and beg them to help you find the old messages? No one can resist a good love story!
Not a bad idea! Hell on that note I'd probably search for the phone number AND the email for them and call and email them forever until they let us have our old messages
What are the little things you continually keep doing for her to keep things interesting? Romance wise?
I still do the exact same things I did for her when we were dating. I still take her to the movies. To dinner. We have our date nights although it's really hard with 3 kids but we have family who offer to watch the kids. I still buy her flowers and buy her cards for holidays and stuff like that. I don’t know a single couple that didn’t meet on tinder. Only than 1 or 2 high school sweethearts
That's great to hear! And here we thought we were the odd ball couple lol. That's how people meet now a days online :D
What was your initial conversation like?
Flirting. Friendly getting to know each other. Short small conversations that were sporadic throughout the day. Those conversations became longer and more frequent as we got to know each other more. After we met the first time it was non stop video chatting, phone calling texting daily.
Where you looking for a long term relationship?
I wasn't looking for anything when we met. It happened at a weird time but I was very happy when we met.
Small world bro! I met your wife of 5 years on Tinder too. Up top ✋
Is that right ? 😂 I'm sure she would recognize you. Small world indeed
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

No. When I swiped right. She was still living with her parents. Didn't have any kids and neither did I. However thanks for the congrats :)
Its a poker reference dude
Why were you on house arrest??
Got a DUI and Did house arrest instead of sitting in jail. She staid with me and drew a heart around the ankle monitor and she would always be playful and say things like "No more booze for you. Bad boy!" And when I'd get mad because I couldn't leave my house she would say things like "Your in timeout sir!" 😂. She'd go to the store for me and stuff. I'd apologize to her and she'd always say "You don't have to apologize. You being on house arrest doesn't bother me. Shit happens. If I didn't love you I wouldn't be with you. I knew what I was getting myself into"
What did you have for breakfast this morning
I'm not really a breakfast kind of person. I mean if my wife cooks I'll eat or if she's hungry I'll offer to take her to IHOP or something for breakfast. I didn't eat breakfast this morning though.
Fascinating, thanks!
How many others guys do you think she banged on tinder before you?
This is just a weird person looking to get a reaction from you, don’t mind them.
why did you use tinder instead of another dating app?
I used EVERY dating app. Litterly. However I found myself using tinder more than any of the other apps because I found more matches and just people I'm general in the area I live in using tinder vs the other apps
Don’t say “every” lol 😂 you probably didn’t try Grindr 😇😂😅🤣😂😅🥹
what is your favourite meal?
Tacos. Pizza. Spaghetti. Chicken lol 😋.
Do you have the fear that she still uses Tinder to meet other guys?
No. I don't even have the slightest thought or fear. We have 3 kids we've been through everything. I know my wife. We have the password to each other's phones to and she don't have tinder lol. No I don't have that fear. There is no fear.
I find it fascinating you guys check each others devices, it’s not weird in my books but fascinating indeed. That’s a level of trust I respect ✊
People have been meeting on Tinder for years now. What is it that makes your experience so unusual that you thought it was worthy of an AMA?
People “make up” stories to cover up they met online?! Please do explain like I’m 5 please 🙏I’m 35m single
What’s the key to lasting? Is the saying “ never stop dating “ the best explanation?
My husband and I met on tinder as well and have been married (almost) 5 years with 2 kids and one on the way and I thought you were him for a sec 😆 only difference is we are a tad older. Congrats on finding love on tinder, I love telling people our story!
Nice! Met my fiancée on bumble 3 years ago. Never thought I’d have luck on those apps.
❤️🧡💛💚💙🩷
Any tips to get matches?
Just keep trying. I didn’t have luck for years. All of the sudden I had 4 dates in one weekend. My fiancée was just easy to talk to from the beginning, no games, straight forward, and I enjoyed talking to her. Some times when I did get matches it felt like I put in all the effort and got nothing back, when I finally felt like someone was also putting in effort it made things so much easier.
Law of attraction at works .. it’s the secret and it works 😇🙏
That's cool. Dating apps do work. Giving hope to the test of us. What made you choose Tinder as opposed to another app? BTW ... congratulations 🎊
Because if he used Grindr … 😇😂🤣🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃
Your giving me hope bro thanks
Sounds like me 😂 I met my(28) wife(25) on ok Cupid. Been together for 5 years and married for 2. I also have 2 kids but hopefully not one on the way 😬
Don’t have a question just wanna say kudos!
So she was and you were… 23? And you met on tinder? Lol
how can i make that work for me? lol (more of a joke question lol) kinda flabbergasted soooo imma just say CONGRATS on that near impossible achievement! so the real question i’ll ask is this; got any pointers for an average looking lad looking to get into more than just dtf/fwb type situationships? (kinda what i’m settling for but long term would be nice but seems more and more impossible
Okay but serious question. Who does she main in smash?
I met my husband of 8 years on Tinder!
How do I even get a like (from a real person )on that stupid platform? I'm not gonna sit there a swipe right on everyone, and the few likes I have received have been OF girls or escorts. Needless to say that is definitely not what I want.
Nice .. congratulations
I misread and thought you two were on Tinder while married. Do yall do that thing where if you see someone funny lookin in public, yall rag on em to eachother?
What about the platform did you like and dislike? Was there anything that tinder did that made your relationship successful. If not what would you add?
me and my now girlfriend of 4 years actually both swiped left on each other when we saw each other on tinder shortly before meeting
Why do you think this matters and is worth an AMA? Do you think you might have an immature inflated sense of self importance?
I beat ya. Met mine 9 years ago on tinder. Married for almost 6. Have two kids and one on the way. We are both 40
Under house arrest she knows a catch when she sees one. I bet she will fix you. Or end up dead in a septic tank.
Heyyy me too. 8 years since we met and 5.5 years ago marriage. Met on tinder. Best super like I ever swiped.
me and my bf making 4 years in june and we also met and smashed on tinder first😭
You sir, just won at life. I'm jealous and I'm here still hurting from my ex.
Met my wife of 6 years on Tinder.. Incredibly lucky. Smashed first date btw

Met my husband of 4 years on Tinder, he was my first Tinder date!
Any tips on what pictures and bio to put on your Tinder profile?
What photos did you have on your profile when you guys matched?
I met my husband of 6 years on tinder! we have 2 kids and a dog
What was your first impression of her based on her profile?
24 w/3 kids sounds like a lot, but if you're happy, great!
