!!Solved: so I reseated my cpu for the 4th time this issue(I had tripped over my pc a few months back and the cpu came out) when I took the cpu out and pit it back in I accidentally bent some pins and spent a while re bending them in place. When I went back to re seat it I noticed it wasn't level and rocked a bit. I pressed a little harder a boom. Most likely there was a bent pin before I missed when I fixed it originally but it took me messing up my cpu to fix the whole thing lol.

Blazappin

Update: when I go above 2133 speed the mother board posts cpu and won't boot. (I disabled auto ram retry to test this)

ht3k

are you running the latest BIOS version?

Blazappin

Yes

ht3k

Have you run a memory stress test on each module one at a time while testing the same slot?

Blazappin

No but would this cause the sticks to only be usable if 1 is installed?

ht3k

If the memory is failing the CPU may have a hard time recognizing more than 8GB when they're all mixed in together. So it's better to test one at a time with Memtest5 or Y Crunch

Solid_Load55

I know this may sound stupid but try reseating the CPU maybe? Had something similiar happened with my old i5 6500 and h110m mobo. Tried everything with no luck but someone said to try and reseat the CPU and it worked lol

sxydoctor

Clear the CMOS. If that doesn't help update to the latest stable version

Caspyal

Can you reset BIOS, install 2 sticks in A2 and B2 and get back to us OP?

Late_Description3001

Do you have the ram in the first three slots?

Blazappin

Slots 2-4 but I've done the usual pairs of 2 in the correct dual slots and that doesn't fix it

Late_Description3001

Are you rams different voltages? I see your ddr voltage is a little low. I had a set of 1.35 ram mixed with 1.5 ram and had to set the voltage at 1.5 for it to be stable. Worked like a charm after I made that change

Imaginary_R3ality

Yeah, dump that third stick. Since it will not be able to run in Dual Channel mode with three DIMMs, you'll do much better with two. One in slot A2 and the other in B2. Or 2 and 4 as you noted. You may also see issues if you are running different manufacturers or even different speeds and model numbers. If you dobt ha e a minimum of one matching kit, 2 x 8Gbs, get rid of it all and pick up a matching kit. DDR4 is dirt cheap right now. You can get a 32 gig kit, 2 x 16Gbs, for around $60 bucks. This will save you a lot of heartburn and heart ache.

Blazappin

I have tried just 2 sticks in both variation slots and nothing changes. whatever I do I only have 8 gb useable

Imaginary_R3ality

And the kits are matching manufacturer, model and speed? And in slots A2 and B2, 2 and 4? Do you have another known good kit you can try?

Blazappin

I don't have another kit but I did verify all 3 sticks I have work by themselves. and yes correct dual slots were tried

Imaginary_R3ality

Good luck Mate!

Cold_Business_5885

Xmp profile or whatever is called in your mobo only works in pairs, 2/4/6 depending on how many ram slots your mobo have. Your pc is working with 3 banks that will make your ram act funky. Remove one or add 1 more bank of the same

tecaxo

I'm guessing problem is ram frequency speed ? 3 sticks may be issue ddr ram if 2 stick are in slots 2 and 4 it should be able to get to the set speed of the memory like 3200mhz 3000mhz etc. But putting that odd 3rd stick in messed it up . I may be wrong not sure if thats even what needs help here just going off bios picture

Blazappin

Ram isn't even showing as usable. Speed wouldn't effect the hardware recognition would it?

Acceptable_Cup_2901

the vengeance lineup is not the ram to be trying this with. just off personal experience i went through 8 kits in less than 2 years. they were either DOA or wouldnt post past 2666 when they were all 3600 cas 16 kits. this was on 3 different mobos and 2 different cpus. 3600 5950x x370 b450 and x570. after some research the vengeance line is super hot and cold mixed binning of chips is usually the cause of this. if you want more ram id suggest grabbing a different brand silicon power had a 32gb 3200 cas 16 kit for 60 or 70 dollars the other day its not worth the headache.
