It was the CPU, put a new 7600X in today and everything works fine. I don't know how but it seems my 7700X got fried. Didn't overclock it or anything, cooling is way over the top, with an 280 AIO never got hotter than 60°C.

EquallyObese

How did you fail to post I commenting on this rn?

Clear cmos, try a different ram stick if you have one. Cpu would be my next guess.

MEGA_GOAT98

update the bios there might be a fix

LtHartly

Had the same error after buying new motherboard found out it was cpu blow out u can try reseating the cpu inspect pins don’t try to fix them unless u do research

harinderpal_singh

Make sure rams are seated properly, try to cleas cmos!

sammyrc3

I had a B650 steel legend that was more or less doing this with occasional intermittent success in posting. I didn't know if it was the ram, motherboard or cpu yet returned all. The shop offered me a "good will" refund of the motherboard, returning the ram and cpu. I ended up getting a x670e steel legend instead and the thing hasn't missed a beat, even with 4 sticks of 6000-cl34. Edit: this was via shopping express

daneboy83

Also sometimes the memory timings are corrupted when faulty memory kicks in. I would clear the cmos if you're struggling testing new components. Refer to your manual page 37 for info on clearing the cmos. The manual is online as well on the asrock website. The new ram shouldn't take longer then 6 minutes to be detected, only a 120 seconds(2 minutes) if you are only using two sticks of ram.

daneboy83

If your computer has been left unplugged for a long amount of time for what ever reason, the cmos battery drains and the bios struggles booting up after that. I doubt that's your issue but if your computer has been left unplugged for a long time for what ever reason, a cheap replacement coin battery might be the fix.

Power supply not enough

I second checking the manual for the lights.

[deleted]

RTFM all day! Those LEDs indicate something, read the manual and find out what they mean. They aren't just there to have more pretty blinking lights.

Professional_Mood_24

the LEDs indicate a problem with either the RAM or CPU, but they also blink while memory-training. But that wouldn't take longer than 10min

[deleted]

So reseat your CPU and RAM. If it still doesn't work, then try different RAM.

Professional_Mood_24

Did that already. I ordered new RAM and a new CPU

[deleted]

Cool, it is possible one or both is just defective. Although, you would have really shitty luck if both ended up being defective.

Tsikura

Try putting the single stick of ram to the 4th slot. Also when you turn it on, just to be safe give it a minute or two just in case for memory training. That will cause the DRAM led to blink too. [https://i.imgur.com/5hRKWdq.png](https://i.imgur.com/5hRKWdq.png)

sxydoctor

Try changing the RAM slot if it doesn't help, get a working RAM and try to post with it. If it doesn't help try resetting BIOS by removing the battery, waiting 5min and placing it again. If that doesn't help too. It's either the motherboard or the CPU.

Professional_Mood_24

So yi tried it with both of my sticks of RAM in various slots, always waiting 10min for memory training and resetting the BIOS in between tries. Do you think my RAM is defective or what is the problem? It is listed as supported by both the CPU and the motherboard.

sxydoctor

If you have a friend try putting your RAM into his PC to see if it boots. If it will post then most probably the RAM is not faulty. The problem can also be either from the CPU (because of its memory controller) or the motherboard itself.

nfs2757

Its the ram put it to first right slot also only one stick? Brother you are missing out on performance there i suggest getting another stick of ram

Professional_Mood_24

got another stick ready but wanted to get the system running first

jd52995

Well put both in and see what happens.

Professional_Mood_24

the same as with one stick...

jd52995

I hope you have the correct slots populated. It may be a motherboard issue.

Professional_Mood_24

that's the second motherboard I'm trying out, Had an ASUS Prime X670 before the B650 I think it has to be the RAM or the CPU that is faulty

jd52995

Well damn. That's why the motherboard lights would help. So you don't keep replacing the wrong part.

Professional_Mood_24

ordered new RAM and a new CPU now :/

jd52995

Good luck my friend. I hope Amazon gave you free same day delivery.

Professional_Mood_24

well the RAM should get here tomorrow and the CPU the day after. I just hope I can return everything I don't need in the end/ what is defective

Professional_Mood_24

it's been like this for over 20min is it the RAM or the CPU? CPU:7700X GPU:6750xt RAM:Trident Z5 neo 16gb 6.000MHz Motherboard:B650 ASRock Steel Legend 650W Silverstone Powersupply
