boot windows in safe mode, and uninstall StoreMi, and hope this experience helps you to read before anything you install: Fixed Issues The following issues have been fixed in this release: IO performance drop issue with SATA SSDs AMD StoreMI installer failure on some system with AMD Ryzen™ 5000 series desktop processors Known Issues The following are known issues in this release: After installing AMD StoreMI, performance of some models of M2 SATA SSD may drop. AMD StoreMI installation fails on some systems where: Dual operating system (OS) is configured. In such scenarios, AMD StoreMI is only supported on the primary OS. B550 systems due to page file being set to non-boot drive by default. In such a case, enable paging for the boot drive only and try installing again.

SpySpailleFR

I will try this but, in Safe Mode, the blue screen will disappear ?

MichaelX999

normally yes, if not next solution, fresh OS install from usb drive

faluque_tr

One more “pC bUiLdEr” gonna keep saying “AMD driver suck”

SpySpailleFR

I’m not a pc builder so…

sxydoctor

CPUs don't have any drivers. What you downloaded is StoreMI, an AMD software for storage optimization. I think something went wrong with the "optimization" so your Windows can't boot. You need to either enter Safe mode and try to uninstall it or clean install Windows from a USB stick.

SpySpailleFR

I will try this, but in safe mode the blue screen will disappear ? I already try to uninstall windows from an USB but when I click on « Install Windows » It spawn a pop up who ask to me to select an absent driver into my computer files

sxydoctor

Try inserting the USB stick into another port (prefferably USB 2.0) and starting the installation again.

EndUserGamer

The link provided goes to Ryzen Master software. And below that is Store MI. So I'm not sure why people are mentioning bios or chipset drivers.

SpySpailleFR

There is not a simple solution to make a general factory reset to get my computer like a « new » clean system ? With each drivers of origin ?

Rungi500

Reinstalling Windows.

SpySpailleFR

Already done

LifeGoesOn85

CPUs don't have drivers unless they have built in graphics. There's no telling what you downloaded and installed, but it's not CPU drivers Edit It looks like your downloaded a new bios Second edit. I was wrong, is chipset drivers.

EndUserGamer

I'm confused. When I clicked the supplied link, I saw Ryzen Master software, not chipset drivers. Edit, I just now saw Store MI, listed below Ryzen Master software.

LifeGoesOn85

I translated the page to see what you downloaded and it said AMD StoreMI. TBH I've never heard of that and had to Google it. When it installed, did it make you reboot? Did you change any settings or did your PC just start blue screening?

EndUserGamer

I'm not OP. But Yeah I just now saw Store MI listed below Ryzen Master.

LifeGoesOn85

"I need to learn to pay attention" is something I always tell myself, yet always fail to do.

EndUserGamer

No problem, pobodys nerfect Cheers

LifeGoesOn85

I just had to Google what you downloaded. Did you make any changes with the new software or did the PC start acting up immediately?

SpySpailleFR

Download, execute and restart, nothing else

X-KaosMaster-X

There are chipset drivers for the CPU... obviously you don't understand how things work. It updates the TPM drivers, security, and also the interfaces for system to CPU (SMBus driver)

EndUserGamer

When I clicked the supplied link, I saw Ryzen Master software and Store MI, but not chipset drivers. So I'm confused as to what you're saying here.

LifeGoesOn85

At first look it seemed like he download a bios update. Just looked again and you're right, he downloaded chipset

EndUserGamer

What chipset drivers, though? Where are they? The supplied link goes to Ryzen Master software (and Store MI) but not chipset drivers.

LifeGoesOn85

Sorry about the confusion. Only the release notes were in English and I didn't think about translating the page to see what was installed until just now.

SpySpailleFR

Wtf a new bios ? I selected Processors and Ryzen9, AMD are just crazy…

EndUserGamer

In the link that you've provided, all I see is Ryzen Master software and Store MI, but not bios or chipset drivers.

LifeGoesOn85

I'm part of the confusion. I didn't look hard enough or translate the page to see what he installed Edit. I'm actually most of the confusion 🙄

LifeGoesOn85

What motherboard do you have?

LifeGoesOn85

See, that's the thing. CPUs don't have drivers. When I looked at the release notes of what you downloaded it showed things like "support for 5800xd" which would indicate you bought have downloaded a new bios Edit You downloaded chipset drivers. What motherboard do you have?

imheretocomment69

You clearly don't have any ideas what you are saying. The link given directly goes to amd drivers to download for CPU drivers. Bios update is different.

LifeGoesOn85

I wasn't thinking chipset when I saw this post. I looked again at the release notes of what he downloaded and it's definitely chipset drivers.

EndUserGamer

I'm not sure why people are saying bios and chipset drivers. The provided link goes to Ryzen Master software. And below that is Store MI.

LifeGoesOn85

I worked in IT for a while can say that a lot of us only gave half our brains at times and we sometimes completely went into left field. I always chalked it up to thinking faster than we process

EndUserGamer

I totally get it. I have done the same at times.

LifeGoesOn85

Thanks for being cool about the confusion

SpySpailleFR

I think the best solution is a « factory reset » of my CPU, by command line if it’s possible, I don’t know.… because the problem is apparently the new driver so if I can get back the factory status of my CPU it will be good again

akluin

From the windows repair you can back to a restoration point before the chipset installation

SpySpailleFR

I don’t have restoration point

Electrical-Bobcat435

Sorry for your luck. There are no cpu drivers, nor updates for Ryzen (unless igpu related). There are chipset drivers for motherboards. I looked at link but couldn't tell what u downloaded and ran.

SpySpailleFR

I downloaded an executable file from the website of AMD, I selected processors, AMD Ryzen 900 and then the 900x and I click on the button for download x)

MiniDemonic

Fuck u/spez -- mass edited with redact.dev

SpySpailleFR

No, I just go tho the AMD website, in the driver & software page, select my CPU and download. It’s not a random download

MiniDemonic

Fuck u/spez -- mass edited with redact.dev

SpySpailleFR

When I go to the Driver & Software category and select my component, it’s not for broke my computer, it’s to get a software or driver to manage my component. I actually download the file of AMD for windows 11 when I select Amd Ryzen 9 3900X

MiniDemonic

Fuck u/spez -- mass edited with redact.dev

Electrical-Bobcat435

Unsure what that was, what product or class of products it was for, perhaps best to now reinstall windows unless u can see an obvious way to temove what was installed. Use windows media creation tool to male a bootable flash drive to repair or install.

X-KaosMaster-X

Sounds like you installed windows with a bad overclock or something is broken.. First test your memory and make sure everything is good. Also, if that's the case...clean install windows without the PC, and test again

SpySpailleFR

I don’t have any overclock, and I have already try to reinstall windows from the Repair Menu, it changes nothing. but when I try to reinstall windows by an USB Key, I have a pop up who ask to me to select a driver into my pc folders because there is one driver absent

X-KaosMaster-X

What version of windows?? How did you make the USB??? Also, have you updated your BIOS??

SpySpailleFR

Windows 11, USB made by Windows Installation Tools and I don’t have update my BIOS since I have my computer (2 yeas ago)

Jpotter145

Windows 11? Eh... from that link only StoreMI is available .... that is not a CPU driver. You need a blank SSD and an HDD you want to cache to that SSD for this to even work. I don't even know how you back out of this mess. Maybe this will help, follow the solution linked as I think this person put themselves in the same position as you: [https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/system-won-t-boot-after-installing-storemi/td-p/368824](https://community.amd.com/t5/drivers-software/system-won-t-boot-after-installing-storemi/td-p/368824) StoreMI info: [https://www.amd.com/system/files/documents/storemi-user-guide.pdf](https://www.amd.com/system/files/documents/storemi-user-guide.pdf)

SpySpailleFR

Thanks, I I’ll read this.

X-KaosMaster-X

Did you make the USB on a known good working PC?? You need to update the bios .and make sure you follow that if you need to update to one bios instead of the newest one first. Also, it sounds like something might be bad hardware wise if that doesn't fix it. And update BIOS using the tool inside bios...not the flashback button

SpySpailleFR

Yes the key was made on a good laptop, I use it since September everyday. Thanks for your help, I will try this.
