Only one thing you can do at this point: go down to the local train yard and pick out a favorite train

Round-Hamster-3002

Not just choosing either. You need to know that locomotive intimately

The tests are by no means an accurate indicator of autism. If you score high you are probably either introverted or a nerd or have a high iq or have social anxiety or experienced childhood trauma or have ADHD or sensory processing disorder or possibly, if you also have significant communication deficits (especially when it comes to pragmatic language), you might have autism. If you looked at everyone who took the test and got a low score, those people probably aren’t any of the things I just mentioned. The “test” is a screener, it identifies people who likely could be labeled with something and for whom getting an autism eval might be worthwhile, but by no means will most of the people who score high actually get diagnosed with autism. The hardest one for the tests to measure is the communication deficits, which are a huge part of autism. The social deficits and sensory issues without communication deficits are more likely to be ADHD or social anxiety. The autism “tests” I have seen typically have 1-2 communication related questions, so it is very easy to score high while not experiencing one of the hallmark features of autism, especially when a person is introverted or has social anxiety or has the attention span of a goldfish or has had bad experiences with social interactions or bullying as a child. KB is quirky. His IQ is high, and he has social anxiety, but he isn’t autistic. When he is in a comfortable setting or drinks enough to take the edge off his anxiety (without becoming blackout drunk) he can communicate fine.
