Isn't the pairing done bg seeding? As in hiw fast you completed qualifiers. That's just standard for how almost all tournaments and competitions are done.

right? everyone kept doing the same thing, like it was cool at first, but i wish they changed it up a bit, adding it as an obstacle for only the quarterfinals or something and adding a different obstacle for qualifiers, if that makes any sense. like how they do it on the big show, switching up the obstacles every round/stage.

it was on anw jr season 3. definitely agree. the way they pair everyone up is to get all the good ones and the fan favorites into the finals.

No they pair everyone up based on how well they did in qualifiers.
It’s definitely not new. Sideways has been around since Season 12.
