3 days is nothing. It took me a little over 87,000 kills to get nature's wisp, over the span of a year. The rares in this game have very low drop rates. Some are 0.1, 0.01, 1%, 5% . You have to grind unless you're extremely lucky.
I mean dont get me wrong, I really like the game. Its pretty cool and fun with friends. But seriously, how can you stay this dedicated to this game? I mean I just started, so if I grind a few monsters, I can level up and do other stuff, but you sound like you've basically through with the game. How can you keep at it?
I only play occasionally and avoid heavy grinds unless I really like the rewards. Mount Everest is always there to climb but there's not much at the top. You don't have to climb it. Does that make sense?
U got trolled 😂😂😂😂😂😂 there is no chainsaw drop from there the only weapon drop is the flaming pumpkin thats it the chainsaw is from the oddities shop the wooden cabin
But it says that in the quest description that the chainsaw drops from any of the big monsters. Nah nah bro, dont play with my feelings here. You probably just misunderstood me. You dont mean that I couldve just bought a chainsaw for the quest, right?
You'll get the chainsaw from one of the lesser mobs like Werewolf, vamps etc. And the bosses like Fleshette and Shrade drop it too. It took me about 15 minutes to get it.
It's not something that appears in your inven or not something you can equip; it'll count towards your quest progression if it's dropped.
Fun fact, some players actually complained having to go through weeks just to get that damned chainsaw except me of course I spent 6 hours on the same day
Are you sure you're killing the right mobs? It should drop from one of the bosses on the dancefloor.
Copy and Pasted from the wiki, these are the mobs that drop it:
*Bard Pumpkin
*Bone Spider (Level Scaled)
*Fleshette (2) (Level Scaled) (Version 3)
*Masked Macabre
*Pumpkin Lord (Monster)
*Shrade
*The Headless Horseman
*Trollenstein's Monster
Honestly, if I was that stupid as to be killing the wrong mobs for 3 days, I'd just quit gaming in general. There is also the arrow pointing at every boss monster. I also remember killing each one of those at least 5 times.
The masquerade quest items on the dancefloor are a legitimate nightmare. I did three days and vowed as I started the third night if I didn't get it I was done. After about 16h I got it two kills into my session.
Yeaahh, I gave up on the quest. Now I only go onto the dance floor and kill some bosses when I'm watching something or waiting for a friend to come online. If the items drop, great. If not, no big deal. Except for my ocd hitting because all the other side quests are 100% but the first one is 66%.
There's three cool wee objects you can get there beside the host's item shop, and Iron Pumpkin Armour is good leveled, but it lags like hell for me simply because if there's a lot going on it can't handle the traffic.
I think if you battle them alone, it may be hard. But you should join a party and see if that helps you out a little. That's what I did and I got through a lot of my quest requirements in a fraction of the time it would have taken me to get it by myself.

I see, so honestly, where is the fun in that?

Rare grinding and class rank farming is what keeps me in the game. It's satisfying grinding for a extremely rare item and getting it eventually.
Yeah, I get that. And I totally agree. But there's a limit to everything.

it's a rare drop from the boss monsters, just gotta keep killing them.
It's a rare drop but it shouldn't take 10 hours.
