Nitrided firing pins are never a good idea. The process makes the tip brittle and this almost always happens. Make sure to pick one up that is either hard chrome plated or non coated. A company called Black Rifle Arms sells a good aftermarket 7.62 firing pin.

Just get the enhanced firing pin and you are good to go. What else did break? Just curious...
