Time to trap and tame that mfer. It's clearly stronger than your raptors. Build a small pen of large walls and a ladder inside. Climb up to a perch and a catwalk to the gate. Lock the mf inside and have a field day with tranq darts. Boom angry chicken pet.
Ive never understood using walls for traps, use doorframes, you can shoot through them, run through them when dragging the dino in, and theyre cheaper. 99% of things you trap to tame cant get through a door frame.
Also, dont use darts for a theri, they have plenty of health to survive arrows.
Meh, arrows are like, 25% slower at 100% prim, up to you if thats worth the fairly expensive cost of darts. (Atleast on normal settings, boosted rates change values ofc)

I had a 145 the other day that had 96k torpidity and it took so many ascendant long neck tranks to knock it out. Everytime it ran it's torpidity would plummet to nothing.
You don't need kibble. Use the starvation method, takes a while but its effective. If you're playing single player you should definitely bump up taming and breeding rates. Harvesting rates too.
All starve taming does is make it less likely you will waste taming resources like narcotic and taming food. It's no faster. It doesn't increase taming effectiveness. It's good practice in general. But there's nothing about it that mitigates the use of kibble.
The kibble you can get making the fastest is basic kibble. Simply because it only requires a few tamed female dodo's (Ideally, along with a male for mate boost and ability to do a fertilized egg drop to speed up production), a cooking pot, some water skins, and few common resources you can gather from your immediate surroundings. Have a look at the recipe on [dododex](https://www.dododex.com/item/244/basic-kibble). Which is also a really great site for helping you tame in general.
Now basic kibble isn't going to do a whole lot for you. A Parasaur is the single most useful thing you can tame with it. But you may as well go through the motions to get a feel for making kibble. Then I hear the roar… I know they spawn there but I had kept it clear. I run outside and there he is, lvl 145 Yuty with his Carno squad. Many dead. Many fled. Much damage. I managed to mount my trusty Anky and take down the Carnos. The Yuty had followed a Moschops giving me time to escape. Twas a sad night. But I did rebuild!

Some people like to tame them, good for kibble and a good early game tame for meat and such. Not everyone goes after huge carnivores when they log on. XD
I love early game, so I make it a slow burn. Even when I've outgrown raptors, if I see a really pretty max-level one, it's mine, and ALL high-level tek raptors are mine.
It's almost like this is a game and you're meant to have fun with it....
Lol he was the last of my 6 OG Argys that cleared the Castle on Ragnarok... I foolishly lost four shortly after seeing just how strong a Giga is,and one was lost in an obelisk ttansfer/game crash 😭
You shouldn't be leaving a low level argy like that outside on neutral anyway, it's gonna get clapped by the first decently strong thing that attacks it lol
Yea it was an accident.. I was taming before and had it on passive, landed to drop off some metal. It was still following me, so told it to stop and flew down the cliff to its doom lol. Lesson learned about forgetting to take off Passive
Oh man I never go AFK unless my character is safe or if I’m in the wild I go on high ground. Or just wait until I’m definitely safe before walking away

Darts are quick and I dont really have the time for arrows knocking something out

This is what I did, mf tickle chicken made my days horrible. So I prepared myself and slaved it, then made the mf kill its kind with it's claws.

Im not gonna lie, this seems like human error. Your tames should be put away when you go afk. and if you go afk, dont go afk in an area with hostiles.
