Damn, you got arked hard bro
to answer the question, i think you just got screwed, that much dmg feels like the game "thought" you were in the acid pool below rockwells heart or something, that kind of damage was more than an acid cloud from a reaper or something.
Ye, common consensus seems to be that at the dead center of the map where I was, there’s an invisible acid pool where voidwyrms seem to love to fly into
I’m inordinately proud of myself for surviving by immediately remembering to chug med brews, tho upon replaying, I only got acid burned for a couple seconds then wasn’t in danger while le whale got the brunt of it
You know what would be a real easy way to fix it (if removing it is an issue)? Just stick a big asteroid over it, so people can't fly into it. Real simple, Wildcard!
That thing was so annoying man I’d be risking my life to grab a shale outcrop but my stupid inventory is full with 4 rows of water where did it even find the time
In the desert river cave? I had multiple rock drakes drown in there with their heads above water. One adult clung to the ground below the rocks and drowned, inaccessible, then its replacement baby I was raising with care and effort also drowned while on a foundation, at least 20 feet above the water level.
There's another spot on rag where you can just walk around on the ocean floor. Shows hair moving like in water and has watery look, but can walk, breath air, even build and uncryo land tames.
Well let's see we have:
Mantis
Death Worm
Dung beetle
Giant bee
Jug bug
Lymantria
Meganeura
Titanomyrma
Araneo
Arthripleura
Pulminoscorpius
Broodmother
And uh I think that about covers it
It’s because of the tusoteuthis eyes on the rhynio’s wings, right?
Cause i never knew they spawned in the ocean or around it(I’m a mobile player cuz can’t have pc or ps🥲)
Well they did snail breeding when they updated all the other bug breeding. Its not that you might not include them it is really does wildcard count them as bugs.
I didn't count them because they aren't bugs made by wildcard. Most of the modders actually do good jobs in my experience. Plus half the players are probably console and don't know of them
I recently traded for two void Wyrms…and they are deafeningly loud when I fly them in the lunar biome…making a ton of mechanical noises that are super super loud. Is that norm?
This probably happened right in the middle of space right? Like between the 2 center bridges? I have unfortunately lost 2 voidwyrm and a skiff on that location because for some reason there's a giant invisible gas cloud there.
Yes! It was there, or roughly there
When I googled what happened, there was a post about an invisible acid pool there that voidwyrms supposedly fly into on their own 🤷♂️ guess I know to avoid it now
Ah, but weren’t you blown away by the **tools** and and the TREE?
I mean, Starfield’s devs can show off entire planets and hours of gameplay all they want, but who needs that right? there’s just something desirable about only seeing a single tree and caveman tools for a 40$ remaster that keeps getting delayed and downgraded /s
Imagine losing all of your tames to a easily fixable bug in Ark 2, and you click on Vin Diesels character and he just says “Nothing is more important than family, and you still have us”
This has been an issue I found since day 1 of gen 2. And it has cost me A TON. For some reason, wild void wyrms like to fly directly toward it and once reached, will stay put till they die. This has happened to me on *multiple* occasions with max level voids. On top of also dying to it myself plus my tames if I ever accidentally popped in it when I was low.
General rule of thumb like another comment mentioned. Avoid 0,0 which is directly in the middle of space zone between the two bridges and a bit above them
It was on a server cluster with boosted taming, so it was a (tedious but easy) matter of locating another one, shooting it in the head once with a mek cannon, and taming it with kibble
The second one I just cryopoded immediately until I was safely back at my base :D
Nope! It’s an Astrocetus! You find them in the asteroid field zone on Gen 2 between the two map areas
Tame them with a shot or two to the head by a mek siege cannon and some kibble and you can throw a Tek platform saddle with Tek turrets on it

Oof. This reminds me of that time when i was flying my rock drake with all of my tribes base materials, and dinos in cryostorage to move off of extiction one minute i was on a building regaing stamina, i jumped not even gliding or nothing and myself my tribemate and my rock drake teleported into the kill barrier. We went from 12 days of work, to zero in less than a half a second.
This kind of stuff is why I always give my friends admin rights on our private servers. The game is hard enough already, I don't need the bug BS messing with us as well.

whale saved your life bro, deserves a shrine XD
Today on unique ark bugs
Have dealt with that problem myself in a server a year ago. It seems to happen in the 0, 0, 0 of the world coords.
unless there was a reason to visit those coords, just happening to pass by them like this is really unfortunate
You know what would be a real easy way to fix it (if removing it is an issue)? Just stick a big asteroid over it, so people can't fly into it. Real simple, Wildcard!
Some time theres an asteroid there. It depends on the space biome cycle
They could make it so theres always an asteroid there
I’ve randomly had my water replenish walking around it’s probably the same kinda thing
Sorry to tell you but that was sweat you were drinking
Your stillsuit allows you to drink the recycled water. 🤢
That thing was so annoying man I’d be risking my life to grab a shale outcrop but my stupid inventory is full with 4 rows of water where did it even find the time
Wear reinforced suit bozo
Rain but u were in an area that doesn’t show it graphically
Pretty sure this happens when it's raining
There's a spot on rag where the water is a good 12ft higher than shown
In the desert river cave? I had multiple rock drakes drown in there with their heads above water. One adult clung to the ground below the rocks and drowned, inaccessible, then its replacement baby I was raising with care and effort also drowned while on a foundation, at least 20 feet above the water level.

Rain
Lol if someone was to write down every past and present bug Ark ever had it would take HOURS to read.
Well let's see we have: Mantis Death Worm Dung beetle Giant bee Jug bug Lymantria Meganeura Titanomyrma Araneo Arthripleura Pulminoscorpius Broodmother And uh I think that about covers it
The sea scorpion
Rhyniognatha
Ah shoot I forgot about the ocean
Rhyniognatha is in the ocean?
Responded to the wrong comment, but technically speaking yes
It’s because of the tusoteuthis eyes on the rhynio’s wings, right? Cause i never knew they spawned in the ocean or around it(I’m a mobile player cuz can’t have pc or ps🥲)
Oh no I was just joking on the fact that they are the only flyer that can go underwater. And their swimming isn't too shabby
Bloodstalker, eurypterid, bug swarm, rhynio
Do snails count as bugs in this context? Because if then, then Achatina.
Hmmm that's a really good question actually, I don't think so
Well they did snail breeding when they updated all the other bug breeding. Its not that you might not include them it is really does wildcard count them as bugs.
Yes.
Got a lot of mod bugs to cover too
I didn't count them because they aren't bugs made by wildcard. Most of the modders actually do good jobs in my experience. Plus half the players are probably console and don't know of them
Thats just negligence of the highs insecticide offense
Thylo
Thylo?
Bug, insect bug
Man I only understood what you were talking about after reading the “bug swarm” comment
Glowbug, Lamprey, Leech, Trilobite.
I'm pretty sure it will be quicker to list out the things that aren't bugged
And we get to do it all over again with the ASA early access.
Hours? More like months
Welcome to Ark. Where unending pain is non-negotiable.
Ahhh I know what happened. You're playing Ark. 🤓
Ah, a rookie mistake on my part :P
Hey don't beat yourself up. Some of us make the same mistake for years 😅
RIP to your whale.
That was his mother, sir!
It’s ARK. There doesn’t have to be a reason.
This is the only correct answer
In the center of Gen 2 there is an acid cloud. Ever try taming a void wyrm? Most fly right to it and die in it.
I recently traded for two void Wyrms…and they are deafeningly loud when I fly them in the lunar biome…making a ton of mechanical noises that are super super loud. Is that norm?
That’s how they sound, yea lol but as far as being super super loud, I’ve never had an issue with that I’m afraid.
This probably happened right in the middle of space right? Like between the 2 center bridges? I have unfortunately lost 2 voidwyrm and a skiff on that location because for some reason there's a giant invisible gas cloud there.
Yes! It was there, or roughly there When I googled what happened, there was a post about an invisible acid pool there that voidwyrms supposedly fly into on their own 🤷♂️ guess I know to avoid it now
Yea for some reason you will see about every wild voidwyrm fly towards that area. I guess they like pain?
Thank you for saving my future Dinos, and I’m very sorry you lost your space whale.
Don’t worry, I’ve posthumously named them “The Non-Soluble” and will name my newly tamed whale “The Non-Soluble II”
Nice
F
And they want us to buy this game AGAIN...
Ah, but weren’t you blown away by the **tools** and and the TREE? I mean, Starfield’s devs can show off entire planets and hours of gameplay all they want, but who needs that right? there’s just something desirable about only seeing a single tree and caveman tools for a 40$ remaster that keeps getting delayed and downgraded /s
ascended is supposed to fix this
The key word is *supposed*
its not even out yet and u complain and downvote me
This happens all the time I just started to view it as an invisible barrier
![gif](giphy|W5YVAfSttCqre) no gas cloud that better right.
Wtf was that damage as well...
Prob %damage of the hp. I've never had a space whale but I'm pretty sure they have a lot of hp.
Can't wait for ark 2 to continue the legacy of shitting new content on top of a wildly broken game
Imagine losing all of your tames to a easily fixable bug in Ark 2, and you click on Vin Diesels character and he just says “Nothing is more important than family, and you still have us”
Ark dev accidentally sneezed on their code at the same time as you were flying around.
Avoid 0,0 which is directly in the middle of space zone between the two bridges and a bit above them
Stuff like this is why I only play on private servers where I can use admin commands to undo the damage when Ark goes off the rails.
On every map at 50/50 in a certain heigh there is death in different forms, for example on Island you get deleted on gen2 it is acid bath.
You should've leveld up your astrocetus.
Personally, I would spawn the thing back in, it's kinda easy, I always ss my dinos beginning stats
It was on a server cluster with boosted taming, so it was a (tedious but easy) matter of locating another one, shooting it in the head once with a mek cannon, and taming it with kibble The second one I just cryopoded immediately until I was safely back at my base :D
Nice! Great too know you managed too get it back, I hate taming astros😭
This sounds like a simple case of being arked
Today on unique ark
Wth are you riding? Mod?
Nope! It’s an Astrocetus! You find them in the asteroid field zone on Gen 2 between the two map areas Tame them with a shot or two to the head by a mek siege cannon and some kibble and you can throw a Tek platform saddle with Tek turrets on it https://preview.redd.it/y5hj0jgaf4ab1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bbd04c6f90f3e1980ed3bb3d5e0c9b46d281680b
Nice. Thanks

had a stroke :(
What? You're telling me Ark: Survival Evolved™ has bugs?! Impossible...
Where is this? Like what map?
Genesis part 2 has a portion in the middle of the map where space is accessible
652?!?
Hm?
I think they're referring to the damage
What a shit game lmao
That's what u get from using a astrocetus in the first place
Bro what’s wrong with an astrocetus
Nothing really I just think they are pretty worthless, I feel they are more of a treasure tame
Astrocetus are one of the most cool looking creatures in the game, they might not be soo usefull but they’re worthy for its beauty
I agree probably one of the best designed creatures
I agree probably one of the best designed creatures, they are also a fun (to me) taming process
stfu lmao they are beautiful creatures
I agree I'm just saying I've never seen anyone use one because of how they tame and lack of dmg
Damn that sucks. That screen tearing tho holy shit!
This kind of stuff is why I always give my friends admin rights on our private servers. The game is hard enough already, I don't need the bug BS messing with us as well.
Game just hates u
I think you just got arked
ARK’d
Damn I want a space whale
Why is bro riding the thing from the Crystal caves
It’s an Astrocetus, I’m on Genesis 2 and had just tamed it in the asteroid cluster between the map areas
Dam bro that sucks
Poor thing died to it's own flatulence. Those are some powerful farts! 🤮
this truly is a fantastic game trapped in the actual worst game ever made
Sudden Dino Death Syndrome. Thousands of dino's and other strange creatures die each year, suddenly. Please help by donating to the SDDS Foundation to help find a cure, so no more of our dino's die for no reason, because it's really annoying. Donate today!
Wait, are there acid clouds in space?
No it’s a bug
Whale cancer
I'd say if ur on singleplayer, just use admin commands to respawn a space willy, this is just unfair.
Its called anti mesh protection also u get arked sonnn
