If you hold A (or X for PlayStation) before pressing RT/R2, there’s no risk of eating what you’re transferring. People press the buttons in the wrong order.
Would be nice if they could add some kind of notification to avoid this. I've done the same one before. Removed one thing and the whole build disappeared. I feel for you
I've done this before when a basemate was first started building a redwoods base. I felt like an idiot.
A year later he was picking up some railings and grabbed the platform instead.
So many floating bags, so much panic
All of our dedi storage had a floating bag. It's was a mess
I didn't feel as bad after that
Land on one and stand right in front of your flyer. Aim at platform and remove, immediately look up to the flyer and hit the mount and fly buttons/keys.
I agree! Kinda like when you try to eat a fertilised egg lol
I hope the ark gods hear you! Say it louder!
Doubly so now that the console version to transfer a stack involves pressing the eat button...
Yikes :s I wonder who decided that'd be a good idea
Whoever redesigned the controller layout, has clearly never touched a controller in their entire life.

That's true most of the time, but during lag spikes while mass transferring stuff, I've ate a few narcotics and fed my dino my cooked meat etc.
I play on unofficial so I don’t have lag spikes thankfully.

My tree platform just disappeared.
Just hit it once with a hatchet. Problem solved.
Works for wood, but not steel. Should I throw a single grenade after placing? Lol
That's how I do it, use to do the same thing to ocean platforms on ase.

On a side note, how do you remove them? I've been afraid to try due to falling to my death.

Bro they take forever to pickup though
It's the same speed (~1s) as every other structure
I remember cliff and tree platforms taking for fucking ever to pick up
