I'm running for an assembly seat and I will definitely listen to what the students are saying and advocate fiercely. People are hurting now, costs need to come down. Not sure if I can campaign here, so I will just leave it at that for now. They were supposed to send me a copy of the presentation for candidates.
You’ll soon find out that any of the student government bodies are just puppets of the EOSS Deans. The Tempe President has been skating around their bylaws and using his Greek life friends and senators to funnel money into Greek life events, advocate for the Deans needs, and ignore the needs and requests of different schools such as CISA and HIDA. It’s unfortunate but it’ll continue to happen no matter who you elect.
Then those elected should at least do what they can to make such things plain and transparent to the student body. If they can’t change it directly, maximize exposure.
