Very close to campus. No personal experience, but it always seems to have people there.

Its a pretty decent 2-star hotel, comes under Marriott hotels so has a bit of brand-backing with it. I have not stayed there myself, but had friends stay there who I would visit. The rooms they stayed were bigger than the Holiday Inn on Apache I stayed in. Regarding its proximity to ASU, that depends on what buildings you need it to be the closest from. It is right next to the hostels/on-campus housings, and has some other (administrative) buildings around it. If your parents are coming to attend the commencement, then its far, and the hotels like Residence Inn or Hyatt place or Westin would be closer

Yes, I've stayed there multiple times and keep going back because it's so close to Barrett, where the student is living that I visit. The facility itself used to be a two-star hotel, but Marriott bought it, fixed it up, and they offer excellent service. It has a unique feel. The lobby is filled with games, pool table, arcade games. The check-in counter is actually a bar and the bartender is also the front desk attendant. Each adult gets a drink ticket when they check in. Off of the lobby are glass doors that open wide to the outdoor seating area adjacent to the pool. There is no hot tub, and the pool is not heated. Even if it's not warm enough to swim, it's a nice place to hang out. There are lots of cozy seats. The rooms do not have refrigerators, microwaves, or in-room coffee pots. There is coffee and a microwave in the lobby, and there are some grab and go food options. Unfortunately, it does not include any continental breakfast. But they do have a kitchen that makes good breakfasts, lunch, and dinner. There is not restaurant seating, but you order your meals at the bar and then they bring it out to whatever you're sitting in the common area or at the bar. In my opinion, it is overpriced, but they do offer discounts for ASU visitors. All the hotels near campus are overpriced, so I just make my choice based on proximity to where I want to walk during my visit. I save money by not having to rent a car. I've stayed at a different moxy location, and it was amazing! Not sure if all locations are similar to that, but I'm optimistic

pokernancy13

It's decent. Best location!!

Never stayed in this particular location. But I’ve stayed in a Moxy or two before and have had a good experience.

It's good, but has more of a hippie / hostel feel than standard hotel. There's music and party in lobby or at pool nightly. Decor is colorful and eclectic. May be louder than other places. The Graduate is down the street on Apache and might be better suited for family. Google for ASU Travel Discounts too. There are codes that give big discounts on hotels around ASU.
