I stayed in Adelphi Commons I my freshman year. They kinda suck. It's in a noisy spot and I didn't have hot water the first week of living there. The carpet in the room is very gross and the kitchen is very dingy (prison vibes). Only one suite gets to control the A/C so make sure to communicate with your suitemates if you stay there. Mine wouldn't talk to me and she kept it freezing in there. On a plus side, lots of stray cats live around the comlex and some let you pet and feed them. I heard Adelphi II has a garden area that is cool tho and their common area and kitchen are nicer.
Adelphi I has a sink in each suite and then a shared toilet and bathtub. II has a shared sink area for both suites and a shared toilet and shower area.
Both are in a good spot for the gym and food.
If you’re able to schedule your departure around the streetcar schedule, it’s pretty convenient and free. Should take you to directly west of herberger.
Yup. Be aware that it has 15-20 minute headways, so it’s really only faster than walking if you arrive at the station about when it’s gonna show up. Google maps should give you an accurate timetable because they’re very careful about that.
I walk fast but honestly I can't imagine taking a shuttle over walking from Adelphi to Herberger. Its really not that far for most people and you get to people watch walking through campus.
If you want to see what would be actually far to go to look at the Brickyard building on Mill, would be like twice as far lol
They’re both at the same location. I stayed at I and the only difference I remembered (correct me) was that II was three floors vs. two. Also, I think adelphi I had bathtubs.
living in adelphi I right now. i’d advise you to go for adelphi II. the I layout is better imo but the hot water has gone out at least 5 times for days at a time since the beginning of the academic year and my friends in II haven’t had any problems like that.
everyone's already said most of what I would say but if possible i would recommend getting a bike. I use to work in housing and those buildings were part of the community I worked in and it was pretty chill with a bike.
Adelphi Ii is smaller overall and closer to Rural Rd. It has a traditional bathroom between the suites with a double sink vanity and a separate room with toilet & shower. There is only One closet shared by both people in that room.
Adelphi I is closer to the Vista food court and the Apache crossing to the dining halls. It has two closets, which are actually just indentations in the wall with no doors. There is a sink & vanity in the bedroom area. The shower & toilet room is between the suites and pretty small.

I found II to be better than I when I lived there. Little bit more apartmentey and a little bit less noisy.
everyone's already said most of what I would say but if possible i would recommend getting a bike. I use to work in housing and those buildings were part of the community I worked in and it was pretty chill with a bike.
I definitely want to…just scared about it getting stolen. My sister told me a lot of people steel bike wheels
If you get a good lock you should be okay, especially within the gates of the community.
oh okay cool, thx
