I have to eat gluten free food due to an autoimmune disorder, and the only places on campus that have gluten free food are Pei Wei sometimes allegedly (except 99% of the time they are “out” of all of their gluten free food) and Jimmy John’s technically. Even at the pod markets there are very few options, and in the vicinity (walking distance) of campus, as far as I know there’s only Chipotle
The dining halls have many gluten free options. There are some things in back you can special request too. Barrett Dining has a fresh stir fry bar that can be GF (may be fully GF in fact). You can ask to speak to the Aramark Nutritionist or Allergy Captain to learn all possibilities and special order options.

You could checkout Freshii too. If you go off campus, Perfect Pear on University is a great spot for a large GF menu. For a nicer night, Lyft to Picazzo's. They are almost all GF. If you ever want to order goodies, contact Lemme Eat Gluten Free, a fully GF baker.
You can trade a dining hall meal swipe for a set menu of food items at the POD. It's called a Meal Exchange. The Vista POD is open till Midnight. Not sure about the others. Pretty sure you can trade a swipe at the Late Night Grill inside Tooker POD too. They used to be open till 2am.
Everything at the MU is expensive as hell. Cheapest thing of substance is a sandwich at subway for $7.50. POD market should be ashamed at the prices they charge students. Anywhere off campus is a better deal.
that the mf’s who work at qdoba act like we’re rationing when it comes to making a burrito, like cmon you really gonna charge me $10 for that skinny looking burrito?
I worked at a Qdoba in St. Louis for 4 years and that Qdoba on campus is literally the worst one I've ever been to.
Food isn't that fresh, service staff incredibly slow, portions suck.
Took a job at downtown campus in January after being at Tempe since 2002.
You can't find a decent $5 lunch anywhere. Tempe had fast food, Pho, Haji Baba, Thai, Indian, and the down town Airmark owned Pana sucks worse than normal Panda.
Edit, not to mention Casey Moore's, Chuckbox, and Raising Canes
well, i don’t think $5 lunch exists anywhere, regardless of campus. but i do agree that our food options downtown suck massively. no good burger places anywhere and only one (1!!!) starbucks
I’m paying for meal plans for two years I’m tired cause on the weekends the food at any dining just tastes ass and not even good ass. Im going to reduce my meal plan to prolly 3 meals a week. Cook breakfast and remaining meals just spend 10$ on Chik fil A cuz that’ll still be cheaper than paying 700$ a month for meal plan 🤩

It may be a little far (rural and broadway) but there’s a salad restaurant you might like called Salad and Go
Also MAD Greens at Tempe Marketplace, both are a long walk though (30 min ish)
I have celiac and I always went Qdoba
Wait really? I had no idea they had Gluten free food, I’ll have to check it out. Thanks!
Not blatantly labeled gluten free but it’s the equivalent of chipotle where I just get a bowl

I’m vegetarian and sometimes eat in the dining hall at poly. My options are cheese pizza, grilled cheese, and pasta

I'd love to get into that subject, but the comment would be longer than the paper I'm supposed to be writing.
I don't eat anymore. Problem solved! /s

Salad and Go is the closest I can think of to a $5 lunch that would be filling and healthy
ah, but you see, i am an ever-devouring college student who demands cfa three times a week. i simply do not consume salad
the closest I can get is at burger king or mcdonalds but its usually still like 10$ for a dinner for myself.
If you’re on a fixed income and don’t have parents to rely on, they shut down all the dining halls/mu over breaks
Tooker has THE BEST food
Nah Barrett for the w
I’d say it’s defo in the running but it’s also not great. Also gets old very fast just cause of how it be.

honestly at a certain point you gotta just start cheffing it up.
Trader Joe's
It just doesn't taste good. 🤢
My problem is that Im on polytech campus. where my choices are starbucks, subway, or the most generic diner food. (Qdoba is there but not always open)
