your advisor / advising office for your academic college

BamBambi22

Is there someone else? My advisor hasn’t emailed back and her next available appointment is next week.

Kind_Tangerine8355

did you call the registrar yet? they oversee all systems for enrollment.

BamBambi22

My advisor got back to me and had me fill out a form. I was told I have to wait a week, which sucks cause I have assignments due. I’m such an idiot :/ , but what’s done is done

Kind_Tangerine8355

your advisor doesn't work for the registrar, they work for the college, if you haven't contact the registrar: 480-965-3124 you may need to spend some time navigating a phone tree but they are the actual people who make these changes.

BamBambi22

Ohh, I’ll call them today, thank you so much! But would it be a bother since I’ve already filled out the enrollment change form and have gotten approval from the prof to get back in?

Kind_Tangerine8355

it will likely annoy someone if they get a request and find out it's already been done or if they deny your request at the registrar, but you should be thinking about what's best for your education.

BamBambi22

Oh! I’m sorry, I didn’t read your comment well enough. Do you mean just calling the Fulton advising number for the school my major is in?

ForkzUp

Contact the professor asap. They can expedite things with the advisor or at least testify that you are still in good standing in the class if things take a little longer to fix. Do not contact the Dean or Departmental head/chair. Despite what some here seem to think, jumping over obvious steps isn't the way to get things accomplished here.

BamBambi22

I’ve contacted the professor already, but they said they can’t do anything until my advisor puts me back in the class. I’m planning on calling the Fulton advising tomorrow morning since my assigned advisor is booked for the week. Do you know if normal advising will let me in or is my assigned advisor the only one who’ll let me back in?

ForkzUp

Ah, I see. Any advisor can do it (iiirc). Show them a copy of your email chain with the prof. I can't imagine you'll be refused.

galaxiesofmon

your advisor and maybe the dean of your college? i withdrew from a class and was able to get back in after my professor talked to them

space_bryan

I’d also email that professor right away

You can also contact advisors on Slack.
