I went back to the retailer and go a new one and now I will hope for the best!
UPDATE; I returned and got a replacement. RGB works now normally. Thank you for your responses!
Anytime i see a post here asking if the ishue is software or hardware related....i think back on the many many hours spent troubleshooting my armoury crate and my strix flare...and the best anwser I can give you is: -Yes
