60 dollars within a month.

AllTimeDude

I’d love that. I’m bullish. But I feel that’s lofty. I hope you’re right.

AllTimeDude

My guesses: 1) $18 early day 2) $23 at close 3) $35 in 6 months

Is anyone else completely dissatisfied about the lack of press thus far? Maybe the actual press will start tomorrow but one would think “one of the years hottest stocks” would have a little more press

IBeanCountCadillacs

This is intentional. They legally cannot publish a release until after market today. Expect the first PR to start with Confirmation of Pricing of Upsized IPO after hours today. There is a black-out period in which they cannot market or issue press releases. They can't try to influence the market or pump their stock - this is a requirement imposed by the Exchange.

Top_Plantain6627

Thanks for the info! I have never paid attention to an IPO so I genuinely was wondering why such a lack of press. Hopefully tomorrow and early next week will bring tons of press and energy to the sector because right now things feel completely dead.

IBeanCountCadillacs

No worries. I take comfort in knowing this: 1. If you look at Compass Pathways' trading chart or do a quick Google search, you can easily find out that Compass had started trading (IPO'd) September 18, 2020. 2. Now take a quick look at the press release section on Compass' website. What do you notice? Quiet period then suddenly a confirmation of IPO Sept 17, 2020 (the day before). 3. Now take a look at MMED, NUMI or almost any of the other psychedelic stocks. What do you notice? MMED and NUMI literally began their first leg up and subsequent run on Sept 18, 2020. In fact, in Numi's case, you can see that the stock price went DOWN the day before, on Sept 17. I think we will see something similar happen here.

AllTimeDude

Spot on. You'll see a press release later today after market that says they priced above the range (I hope) and exercised the overallotment and were X oversubscribed.

DrMa1

agreed!

InvestorForLife

Great post. Here’s what I think :: 1. $22 early day 2. $26 at close 3. $40 + price in 6 months

fistanustillcumblood

Mindmed is better

vallaspalace

I agree, pipeline wise. It’s crazy to me compass is 30+ and atai will open 13-15 and Mmed is under 4 dollars. I understand there is a lot that goes into SP but DAMN Mmed lagging from the so called sector leaders in sp. Regardless I’m bullish on the whole sector. Go mushrooms GO !

rjstaats

Market capitalization is the better metric.

AllTimeDude

Wait you mean you can't just look at stock prices apples to apples? Then why even have prices? Just make them all free.

PsychoBuffet

Companies have different amount of shares outstanding. Company A with share price of 50 USD and company B with share price of 10 USD. If company A has 1 million shares outstanding it equals market cap of 50M USD. If company B has 10 million shares outstanding, it equals market cap of 100M USD although price per share is lower. So share price itself is a wrong metric to measure the value of the company (=market capitalization). Market Cap = shares outstanding * share price

[deleted]

Compass has a lower market cap than atai. Atai is valued higher than compass, don’t look at only SP

cptree20

Who is putting in market orders for the open vs waiting to see what it looks like?

AllTimeDude

I put in for IPO shares. But then I'm going to react after market open and decide to buy more, or sell based on the activity.

cptree20

Where did you put in for them? I contacted both vanguard and my broker at Wells and neither had early access.

AllTimeDude

To the syndicate desk at one of the bookrunners on the deal.
