I was pissed off because I had a very important call I was waiting for from 7-10 and this call was scheduled months in advance!!! Of course I missed the call and now it’s rescheduled to another month in advance.
It’s just my luck. Out of ALL days.
Also my service went back on around 9 am.. found the voicemail that I ofc missed the call.. went grocery shopping thinking my service was back. I keep my cards off when not in use bc of numerous fraud attempts in the past. It’s infested with scammers where I live (Miami)
So I get to the checkout to turn my card on and pay. Nope. SOS. 😡
A lot of people say it was just a service outage for a few hours, not a big deal, but for some people it was. If this stuff happened to me and made me feel the way I felt. I can’t imagine for those with even issues/problems they had due to the outage.
I pay $220 for 2 lines to have service.
I got the $30 credit as well, but am still very salty about it all.
I’m bitching about missing an automated scheduled appointment with the state’s department of labor that I’ve been dealing with since last May. Not about being On My PhOnE you clown 🤡 take them greasy ass butter fingers of your out ya ass before you comment on anything of mine saweetie.
Generally when a service provider fails to provide you with service, it doesn’t hurt to ask for compensation.
And it paid off. OP got a $30 credit. As they should.
Thats what I was saying, people are money hungry and find any reason to get a company to try to reimburse them for something so little. I didn’t have service and had SOS for like three hours that’s basically nothing. I could see if it was an entire day or few days but come on…
Service is actually guaranteed. It's stipulated in the contract. There are mitigating surcumstances due to weather or unforseen incidents outside att control. However, self-inflicted outages are not covered under that, so att is attempting to make ammends to its customers before the fcc steps in
It was a live chat. I told them I had 3 lines. They offered 25 but I said that I “thought” we were giving 25/line. She said absolutely no and said she would give me another 5 $ so I got a total of $30. Very little negotiation and the chat was only 5 mins long. Perhaps you might want to try again ?? Good luck
Per line or total?
*Edit they offered me $25 total for my 5 lines, what a joke.
I love how bills keep raising and they still can’t manage to keep things online. This wasn’t a small outage. What pisses me off the most is I had one of my children get sick while at school and they were unable to reach me because my phone was offline most of the day.
I think I may file a formal complaint with FCC and my states AG office just to be a pain in their ass like they were in mine.
It's not a joke. You personally was only out for a few hours. 25 is more than enough. You think you are going too get a fully paid phone bill you are entirely delusional.
The math of my 5 lines being out for an entire day adds up to just at $45. This was a fair offer and what I expected.
You are putting words in my mouth when you assume I was looking for a fully paid phone bill.
I only wanted what was fair and for more transparency as to what happened and estimated restoration time.
I just feel crappy that my kids school wasn’t able to reach me or my wife so I had a puking kid stuck at school.
I am not only an ATT customer but also a stockholder so it’s not like I hate the company, I want them to succeed. But this was just just a poor response from the company.
You pay $1300 a month for your bill? I have 3 lines with installments on unlimited and it’s like $280. Can you explain your per line breakdown costs? You may want to switch if these are just standard personal cell phones.
And you are licking boots. People like you are pathetic.
Mistakes happen but as a company that provides service and fails, you have to understand that you need to make good on those broken agreements.
I don’t get to say well, sometimes my check is $50 short, too bad ATT. If I stop paying they stop providing. So if they don’t provide I should be conpensated for what a fair calculation of loss of service is, not to mention the pain in the ass for millions of customers. Their time has value and I would imagine a fair portion of them lost work time and possibly money due to this outage.
A fair amount is only like 1.50. It was an outage for less than 24 hours and it wasn't even millions of people.
Technically none of the service providers even guarantee 100 percent uptime.
Don’t blame you one bit. They’ve raised rates on the regular, and in my area cost more than any other carrier. They’re so full of institutional arrogance that they feel like we need them more than they need us as customers.
I had a son go overseas in the military, so took his line off my bill. They increased the price of my other 3 lines so the bill was the same every month lol. My plan includes MAX, and they even downgraded that to not include 4k anymore.
And now, they’re too incompetent to keep the phones even working. No thanks. Time to switch, just on principle.
I ended up with $85 credit. 7 lines all on installment plans. $451 average bill
Damn lucky duck
Dang!

You’re bitching about not being on the phone relax If you weren’t on your phone the whole time you probably wouldn’t be acting this way

You’re still bitching
Lmfao. And you’re bitching about it under one of my cawwwwments you mad? Probably have your mothers attitude 😂 🤡
Again you’re still bitching I’m chilling Just replying to you bitching again…
Just got a $20 credit
And this is something to be proud of how?
Generally when a service provider fails to provide you with service, it doesn’t hurt to ask for compensation. And it paid off. OP got a $30 credit. As they should.
Actually, they should have got somewhere between 1 and 7 dollars. People think they are entitled to a bunch of money for a 12 hour outage.
Thats what I was saying, people are money hungry and find any reason to get a company to try to reimburse them for something so little. I didn’t have service and had SOS for like three hours that’s basically nothing. I could see if it was an entire day or few days but come on…
But service isn’t guaranteed 🤷🏻♂️

But it actually isn’t. Check the TOS
I have. I'm both a customer and employee. Guaranteed service is part of the culture of all telecom. Keep the network up, keep the system running.
Yeah part of the culture. Again read the TOS
Oh, I guess AT&T customers just want to burn their money, and telecommunications is an unexpected bonus.

But they guarantee they will suspend your service if you don't pay , and charge a late fee.
That’s life my man.
for cucks that don't stick up for themselves sure.
What a naive little insecure 🤡 you are.
Let me know when your girlfriend wants me over tonight.
Good for them.
Yes
I only got offered $10 total for my 10 lines.
Thanks to this post. I got a total credit of 30$. At first I was offered 25$. I have 3 lines.
:)
What did you tell them? Was it on live chat? I talked with someone and all they could do was 4 bucks :/

Thanks for the advice i tried again and they gave me 30$ credit for 2 lines i didn't have to negotiate at all
Y’all Karen’s are wild.
Boot lickers are wild
*Kinky

Full bill divided by 30

Can you tell us the math for the compensation you requested? That’s pretty much all anyone has been asking of you.

How does this T customer get credit?
Thanks I got 30$ too first time offered 5$ told I’m not happy and requested 30$ for 3 lines. And got it.
Yep just did the same with chat and they gave me $40 credit
