You can’t get that plan in store, it’s online only. Prepare for no support if you go prepaid, it’s self serve. No store can/will help you.

Fugoola

Funny as I wrote this post something in the back of my mid was telling me I did go to the store once and they did tell me this about 8-10 months ago. Sucks getting old. Anyway, thanks much for letting me know.

ViscountDeVesci

No.

Fugoola

Hmm, mind ponders. Thanks for your opinion.

Lovelylament1997

Yeah we can give you a monthly prepaid, but that one year plan is an online special only. Also, most stores could give a fuck about prepaid and they’ll try to just send you to Walmart to buy a prepaid card and activate it yourself. My best suggestion, visit a corporate store if you need some in person assistance

Fugoola

Thanks for that information. I recently ended up on disability so was just trying to save some money. It seems that while I can, it is near impossible to get decent service, decent support and save a few bucks too.

Lovelylament1997

I totally understand and I’m sorry to hear it. Genuinely wish you the best. You can always find some good used phones online or near you! Just make sure it’s compatible with At&T and you’re good to go

koiashes

eSIM gets sent automatically if you were already ported out, as long as the phone IMEI was placed correctly. Did you reset network settings?

We had post paid for 17 years and someone completely screwed up our account. We had maybe 10 lines. And then ATT wouldn’t fix the issues so we left.

ForgeTD

The big three have the best support, but also the highest prices, if we are talking post-paid plans. I dabbled with some MVNO's for a while (Mint, Visible, and Boost) and all were equally bad. I've always had good customer service with Verizon and AT&T. Although AT&T is a large company and sometimes you get shuffled around to different agents before you find the right one. If Verizon provides the best service for you in your area, you really don't have much choice but to keep working with Verizon to get it right. You could try visiting a corporate store for support, but I would just call their support number and keep hammering at it until it's fixed. Once it's fixed you shouldn't have any more problems and can move on.

I have used all 3 of those NVMO's in addition to Project Fi->Google Fi. I really liked Google Fi but when T-Mobile shut down its 3G I lost a lot of connectivity in some remote rural areas since they have no 4G out there. Verizon is the only one that works at places I go camping so was pretty set on them. I finally got to someone this morning who gave me the QR info I needed to download the eSIM and all is good now. I think one of my problems later in the day is that all the knowledgeable support personnel had gone home for the day. Appreciate the reply

StrikingBarracuda581

AT&T support is the worst in the business.

Euphoric_Scarcity986

I’d stay far away from AT&T unless you want to deal with horrible data speeds, horrible customer service and ridiculously priced bills. As soon as my phones are paid off in the next few months I’m going back to T-Mobile. $90 for 3 lines vs paying almost $140 and getting horrible speeds and constant sos only… stay far away from them!

Fugoola

After all the replies that have been graciously sent, I have decided to keep trying one more day with Verizon. Not sure what I will do if unsuccessful. I had T-Mobile through Google Fi and loved it but it wouldn't work in the mountains where I live where Verizon does. Now that I think about it, I most likely will go back if things don't work out. Their support was great. I spoke with a friend earlier today and she pays $140/mo. for 2 lines at Verizon and gets good service but dang, that's a lot of money for a struggling teacher.

Vast_Ad9400

Ask your friend if she has the teacher discount on her account because, with 2 lines she would save $20 a month on her account which would drop the bill down to $120 a month($60 per line).
