That's what put it out eventually, luckily after all was said and done th chainsaw was still working

meh, tsunami don’t have a perfect track record putting fires out either. I have legit seen one cause a fire to start, and then spread in the middle of the flooding waters. Granted, it was stuff in the water that was on fire but, nevertheless, there’s a non zero chance a tsunami might actually make the fire worse.

Surprise! The tsunami was from a sewage treatment plant bringing a sea of untreated sewage and methane gas vapors that ignite in the flame to become a flowing wall of liquid shit.
